Crowne Plaza Portland Downtown Convention Center in Portland

The front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The free shuttle was also very helpful for us.

We arrived at the hotel to find at check in that we had been upgraded to an executive suite which made momma happy. The child in our party was excited that the Winterhawks were playing in the building next door and enjoyed walking over from the hotel easily. The staff at the front desk were very nice and the customer service was excellent. The towels were actually soft and so was the bedding. My family and I loved the fact that the pool was a salt water pool since I am allergic to chlorine. It was nice to be able to swim! Would definitely stay here again.

My 9 year old grandson and I enjoyed a short holiday together at the Crowne Plaza in Portland. We both enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful with suggestions on activities and in pointing us in the right direction. Clean and well staffed. Stayed for a Blazer game. Easy walking distance. Ate dinner and dessert at hotel. Dessert was fantastic. Dinner was better than expected. Lounge had happy hour. Pool and gym looked sufficient but I didn't use either. Gym open 24 hrs and pool until 11pm. Room had nice touches, coffee and tea, nice bath products, eye patch, ear […] plugs. Next to highway so noise might bother you but it didn't bother us. For self park, they open lot to game parking after 6pm so it gets busy but appears to be plenty big. Lees meer

Check in was easy. The room was perfect, bed was amazing. We loved the indoor swim pool. It stayed open till 11 PM. Room service was excellent. They even provided a free shuttle to take us to an event at the Convention Center. I don't go to Portland often, but if the need comes up I would definitely stay at the Crowne Plaza again. The staff at this hotel were amazingly nice without exception. The waiter in the restaurant was so sweet. That said, our first room smelled like smoke. The staff offered immediately to move us and gave us breakfast vouchers. The second room was great. The rooms are quite small but nice enough. The pool was fun for the kid and the location was great […] for my husband who was working downtown. The cab fare from downtown was $6.50 so consider that before paying to garage your car downtown for $25.00 +/night. The breakfast was really good too. Porters, desk staff, concierge, restaurant staff and room service could not have been more welcoming. Rooms were clean, cherry, well lit and cozy...a welcome relief from the drizzle, wind, snow and fog outside.....FREE AIRPORT SHUTTLE that also was available, when possible, to shuttle hotel guests to local dining and shopping spots is a BIG PLUS.

My son and I had a blast. The hotel was walking distance to the Rose Garden where we took in a Lakers vs. Portland Trailblazers game. The only thing wrong with this little getaway was that the Lakers lost!

My only complaint is that the bed wasn't comfortable at all. Same quality as Motel 6.

The hotel was great, and the room was comfortable and clean. Everything we wanted and needed for our short vacation in Portland! Nice area, too. Only one concern, really: They left us a menu to order breakfast, and hang our request on our doorknob before we went to bed. We did so, but no one ever came and took it. The service was horrible. I would never stay at the Crowne Plaza again. I have always been happy to stay there when I travel but the service was horrible the rooms and bathrooms were not what they promised!

The 15 dollar parking fee was a little unexpected. Was not to thrilled about having to pay to park the car in your private parking lot to me it drove the bill up and was just unnecessary.

Room was cozy and comfortable. Has pretty much everything you need, including even a microwave. There is a swimming pool and exercising room, which is nice. Complimentary wifi, which is for some reason scarce in Portland's hotels. Overall a very nice stay, enjoyed it very much.

this hotel is beautiful and elegant in the way a nice place like this was always run before the chaos of free breakfasts and such. it was simply awesome.

It is not a pretty building, very dated. We went from the Bay Area to visit our son who lives in the Alberta neighborhood, so the location was great for us. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly and the room quite, comfortable. It provided all we needed. It was a fantastic deal as well and minutes away from our son. I wouldn't recommend it for first […] time Portland visitors. A downtown location would be more walkable and interesting than the convention center area, but if you go for a basket ball game or a convention this is your place. Lees meer

Great Hotel at a great price. The kids loved the indoor pool and jacuzzi. Did not like that I had to pay extra for parking and the neighborhood isn't the best for walking around. quick access to area attractions.

A nice hotel close to events at Rose Garden and Convention Center. Good food and a great waiter, Nicholas, in the dining room made us welcome so we ate two meals there. I would stay there again.

Everything was average or slightly above. One thing that is always a bummer is paying for the room then showing up and finding out parking cost %10 of what I just paid for the room. There is street parking that is cheaper.

Everything was perfect from the entrance to the sheets. However, at 1:30 am the smoke detector began beeping. We called the front desk and they sent a security guard to check it out. She had no clue what to do. She pulled it out of the wall and it stopped for 30 minutes...she offered to move us to another room but it was too late for us. The next morning […] they comped us our parking spot & a hamburger we had from room service. My husband was satisfied with that. Though the hotel wasn't in such a good area the parking was very secure and we didn't hesitate leaving our can in their lot. Lees meer

This is a very nice hotel. I'd say the nicest in the Rose Quarter. The staff is very courteous and helpful. Our room was immaculate. It is located within a short walking distance from the Rose Garden Arena. This worked out very well for us because we were in Portland to attend the Taylor Swift concert. The only reason I did not rate the hotel a 5 was […] because my bed was hard as concrete. It was so uncomfortable that I got very little sleep. I woke in the morning feeling exhausted (truly), which was unfortunate considering I had a 3 hour drive ahead of me. However, my teenage daughter said the bed she slept in was fine and she slept well. So, I'm not sure if maybe the mattress on my bed may have been perhaps a brand new extra firm one or what. At any rate, I found the bed to be the only deficit to an otherwise terrific room. I was impressed with the friendliness of hotel staff members and the overall quality for the money I spent there. Even though I didn't get a good night's sleep there this time, I will likely give this hotel another chance the next time I stay in Portland. Lees meer

Nice hotel for the price! We thought it was much nicer on the inside than you mint imagine from your firt impressions of the outside. The locations good too...in a quieter part of town with easy acess to the MAX. It takes less than 10 minutes to get to the other side of the river. They have complimentary bicycles, which are great to ride around town […] if you're going longer distances and don't want to wait around for the bus. To Pull up to, this Hotel doesn't look extremely fancy. However, once you enter the doors, its beautiful. The rooms were gorgeous. The facilities (pool and fitness room) were kept very clean and up to date. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel was good for its price. It's a little outside of the downtown area but close to places like Lloyd Center. The staff was very nice. I had thought self parking was a particular rate because of the website (it increased but was not changed on this site) but they were able to adjust and give me that rate.

Nice place, clean and convenient

This was the most friendly, accommodating, and outgoing hotel staff I have ever encountered at a convention. Nice accommodations and a comfortable bed.

Arrived at the hotel, very shady area. Hotel has security features, which is fine, but you pay $20 to valet your car, and they just put it in an open parking lot. Upon ordering room service, they didn't have some of the options on the menu available, but we ordered two dinners and two drinks. Both meals were charged for more than the menu price, and […] both drinks were wrong. I called and they said they have not updated the menus with the new pricing. The pamphlet in the room also stated "escorts to your vehicle for safety reasons are available upon request". Also, the shower vent was moldy. Lees meer

Customer service was very good, the room was outstanding, imaculate, and an added bonus, a pretty nice view.

Front desk staff was not very friendly. On the other hand the shuttle staff and bell hop service staff were fantastic. In addition this was the only hotel with a FREE airport shuttle. Also, it was stated that price included free breakfast, but this was not the case. Hotel is close to free city transit system which was nice.
