Hotel Lucia in Portland

This hotel is in a great location to be able to ditch your car and enjoy walking and biking to lots of destinations around the city. It is also close to several transit stations and withing Portlands "ride free" zone. The staff were great about storing our bicycles for us.

Fashionable boutique hotel. Excellent personnel service, amenities. The noise factor was a bit of a problem. Could hear conversations next door, hallway. Would like to be able to darken the room some but not able to because of the blinds.

Great hotel. I know the owners so I am biased to staying in their properties in Portland. My only beef with Lucia is that they charge for internet (seems petty I guess). The sister property DeLuxe does not, so i don't know why they do. Still a great hotel with a great location.

Staff was friendly and knowledgable.

Loved everything about this hotel. Staff was very nice and efficient.. Will go back to this hotel!

Wonderful hotel with great city location - rooms are on the small size - great customer service - currently the hotel has a restuarant next door: Typhoon which is also the hotels room service provider..... DO NOT eat at this restuarant - we had burnt Pha Thai and burnt toast for breakfast..... the rest of the stay was good

A lot of people commented on the small size of the room, but we didn't really think that mattered. The bed was awesome, the staff was superb, and honestly, when in Portland, would you really spend that much time in your room anyway?? Thank you Lucia and Portland for a wonderful getaway!!!

Hotel is in a great location, very central. Weekday housekeeping is not invasive and does a good job cleaning without rearranging all your items. Staff was attentive and friendly. Rooms are small, but water pressure and heat/AC work well.

My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. I had second thoughts when I read reviews saying that the rooms were tiny, but I had no problem with the room's size. Sure, it was on the small side, but I felt like it was cozy, not cramped. Everything was sparkling clean and the bed was so comfortable that I just had to get in an extra nap one afternoon […] of our stay. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. My arrival was a bit disappointing. When I arrived at the room the toilet had not been flushed from the last guest and there was still trash in the trash cans. This made me wonder whether they even changed the sheets. I mentioned this to the front desk and they were quick to offer to either clean the room or offer another. This place is cute and cozy. The bedding is perhaps the softest I've ever experienced. It is very quiet and I got great sleep while I was there! I did have some issues with the comfort of the room. There is no counter top in the bathroom to put all my makeup and hair products so I had to put things all over the floor. Additionally the products provided […] were hard to use and didn't come out easily. The front desk folks and doormen are wonderful and the decor is really cute. It's safe and nice and I'd stay there again. It's just a short walk to Stumptown Coffee and the fabulous Clyde Common for an amazing dinner. I really enjoyed my time at the Hotel Lucia. Lees meer

Absolutely amazing! I couldn't have asked for a more helpful and attentive hotel staff. They found me everything from yoga, to a manicure and directions to everywhere I wanted to go. So kind and friendly! I will be back!

We enjoyed this hotel, but were surprised by the size. I've never stayed in such a small room- even in Europe! Request to not be near the ice machine- it was very loud even with the ear plugs they gave us. I probably would choose a different hotel next time.

Absolutely perfect place to stay for the weekend. The room is quite small, but I was by myself so it didn't matter. I will definitely come back!

We had a fabulous stay at Hotel Lucia. I had mentioned that we were celebrating my husband's bday (prior to arriving) and the our room was updated from a queen to a king (for free)! A great way to start our stay :) The front desk staff was very helpful and offered great restaurants... Jordan at the front desk was a great help. For the cost of the room I was staying in...a deluxe...I could barely get off the bed without falling into the bathroom door...it was nothing more than the size of a small jail cell. The service was excellent, food was excellent, employees were excellent, everything was wonderful...but the size of the room was disheartening. I would not stay there again […] because of this. This was the first time visiting Portland and Hotel Lucia was the perfect place to stay. We were within walking distance of most sites, neighborhoods, restaurants and shopping. If not, then it was a short walk to public transportation. The hotel was clean and well-maintained. Everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly. The concierge gave us consistently great advice and it is conveniently located near the business district as well as the Pearl district for shopping and dining. The rooms were very comfortable and clean but the bathroom left a lot to be desired. Very small without much counter space with only useable plugs […] across the toilet. Overall a good experience. hotel is very clean and modern… room was smaller than expected but the bed made up for it… it was like sleeping on a cloud!!! also the hotel provides a pillow menu. this was the best sleep ive had in a long time! like i said the room is quite cozy but i had a great time at this hotel. staff very friendly. business center not so great as the computers […] were old and slow. I travel to Portland often and the location of the Lucia is perfect. Close to the Pearl and downtown and the running path along the river. Many locals had recommended it but I had never stayed because other known hotels (Deluxe, Benson and Modera) are usually cheaper. Lucia pricing is now in line with the competition. The radiant heat in my room was […] ridiculously loud and woke me several times, when I mentioned it to the staff they tried to fix it first and then moved me to another room. Hotel Lucia is my choice for Portland. I enjoy the friendly service and modern design. I always wake up wishing I could stay an extra day just to sleep. The beds are that comfortable. We did have a problem with a leaking pipe under the sink. Although it was late at night I received a bucket and extra towels to band-aid the situation.

I've always been told how awesome this hotel was. And sure, the lobby is great, the gym respectable, and check in was a breeze. Here were my issues: * The room was loud. Could hear the housekeeping staff very early in the morning. Could also hear the rushing of water in pipes. Did not get a good night's sleep. * The bathroom was too small. I'm not […] a big bathroom monster but geez, this one's tiny. * The valet lost my car. Made me late for an important appointment. That sucked. this hotel was super modern with great decor. fabulous customer service. the only thing was: the small rooms. the bed was super comfortable. you could even order your pillows (depending on your preference!). the bath robes...so soft and lovely. if you don't mind a very intimate space and small bathroom, then book your stay here!

Our stay at Hotel Lucia was great overall! We had a single, king-size bedroom on the interior of the building. They called it an atrium room, but our "view" was of 3 other buildings, conjoined to our hotel. Not alot of privacy with the blinds open, but it did ensure zero noise from outside (which was nice)! The room was quite small, but very clean […] and well-appointed, with a super-comfy bed, nice-size bathroom & GREAT closet space. The decor was modern but not at all pretentious (very comfortable). We would certainly stay here again - the staff was exceptional at every turn, and the location is exactly where we like to stay when we travel to Portland (our favorite home away from home). It was a great good room but it was slightly weird that directly across from the bed was the bathroom. Also there was very little counter space in the bathroom. And the bathroom was tiny. Other than that everything was great!
