We had a great time! Service at the front desk was very good! Me and my family love to stay there. it's close to everything. Very safe place.

Good experience and very convenient

We tried to check-in early and were given 5 keys to 5 different rooms that were already occupied. The lack of security gove us a moment to pause when we went to sleep that evening.

We lost a nintendo DS (console color pink) with a game inside it and it's case is also pink.. We we're staying in room 312

I'll recommend this hotel for a short stay (2-3 days). Will stay again!

Hotel staff was very friendly. Room was comfortable and had great location.

gave us a penthouse handicap room,, it was awfull, we change rooms and they did not give move a jacket nor did their cleaning crew give it to us the following day. Nor have they contacted me that it was placed in their lost in found. Don't stay here!

Selected the hotel because I needed an overnight stay between flights and they offered airport transfer. Airport transfer ends early and if it takes time to get the luggage, you miss the last transfer. There were 5 of us that needed transfer and had to scramble and pay for the airport shuttle (Individually as we discovered our situation in the van). […] Not good service for a hotel that caters to those considering a place near the airport. Hotel room also had a very musty smell. I normally don't give a poor review, but after a long day of traveling, I was very disappointed at this hotel that identifies with the local airport. when i first got there the room look old and just like a room that was really dirty that they cleaned up and when i got home i realized this itchy bumps on my legs and arms come to find out they have bed bugs im completely unsatisfied and wouldnt recommend this place to anyone

First we had to travel far. This hotel is no where near the airport. Their name includes the words Miami airport. Also walked in the room and felt like I was in a low quality weekly rental. There was a dinning room table in there. I thought for one moment I was in the wrong room. The area was not good I did not feel very safe. From the first time i walked in to the room it was lovely. the service was great it was more then i thought it would be for i haven't stayed here for awhile... my first time staying at the Howard Johnson my kids enjoyed there stay n always asking to return...when i spend my money i am looking for good service in return n i must say i got it on every […] stay....Thanks Lees meer

Service was very slow

i did most of my stuff outside of the hotel. i had my own transportation and the free parking was convenient... check in and check out was very smooth (but i checked in very late and checked out very early)... i ordered room service twice which was fast and actually decent for hotel food... the room service lady didn't speak fluent english but was very […] nice... It was a little noise so i had to leave the balcony window closed but a little balcony was a nice surprise. The bathroom could've used a little more water pressure. I had the penthouse and it fit the description. Overall i got every single pennies worth and enjoyed my stay. My only complaint was they didn't have espn in the room (my girlfriend was happy about that) but that worked out because i seen the historical speech of OSAMA BIN LADENS DEATH by president obama which will always make this a memorable stay. Oh and my girlfriend complained it was to dusty lol oh and its nice that the penthouse has all its stuff on the same floor =) Lees meer

The pool is nice, however the hotel itself is run down once you get up to the room. The comforter had burn holes in it, as did the curtains in our room. However, it was a good rate and staff was very friendly. The pool was very nice as well.

This was my first time visiting Miami and I really want to come back! The Howard Johnson hotel was conveniently located off the main highway. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful! The room had nice space and the bed was comforatble. I stayed on the eighth floor and I loved the view from the window, espically at night. I would stay here again and […] I would recommend this hotel to others. Although if you are flying in, I would not consider this an airport hotel. You should survive a one night stay, hopefully. Nothing more.

Big Hotel with friendly staff, however, rooms are really run down and it's terribly located if you're a tourist and want to check out the Miami scene. We recently stayed in a penthouse and were underwhelmed; i wouldn't imagine what the smaller rooms are like. It's biggest "con" is the location though; very far away from all the action.

We stayed at the hotel for 1 week. For a place to stay while on a shopping trip we where very satisfied. The staff was quite helpful. Would stay there again. The only thing the hotel could to with a little upgrade especially the bathroom tiles.

This Howard Johnson was close to the airport.Spent 2 nights,the price was reasonable and hotel was located close to a shopping mall. the check in and check out was poor, there was a long line up to do so,no quick check out.The room was smelling musty and carpets were old and stained.The curtains had a large hole. There were no breakfast .

Good value hotel, a bit further from the airport than we thought and we had to wait an hour for the shuttle bus. Room clean and comfortable. We had to be moved from our room 211 at midnight as we were woken by a loud night club below, staff were good and moved us ok. Breakfast was good.

We selected this hotel based mainly on its price. And, fortunately, it proved to be a good value. The hotel appeared to have been recently renovated. The rooms were spacious and clean and the hotel staff were helpful (though not necessarily quick or efficient). It was in a good location, near expressways, a mall, numerous restaurants, and a Wal-Mart. […] We were 20 or so minutes from the beach, downtown, and the casinos. My only complaints are that twice during our stay our room keys stopped working and had to be reprogrammed and, the morning we were leaving, we noticed the car parked two spaces to the left of ours in the hotel garage had just had its driver's side window broken out. Overall, this hotel was a bargain for its price and I'd definitely stay there again. Lees meer

Hotel is within close proximity to Airport , fabulous shopping Centres and Bayside. We were upgraded to a beautiful King Suite with Breakfast incl. Enjoyed the pool and hospitality . Equally enjoyed the skyline view from the balcony. We had a great Stay, Thank You, L S from Australia

good hotel for price. Waited one hour for the Airport Shuttle. (It is a 20 minute ride)

The service is excellent, starting from the driver of the shuttle to the people on the front desk.

First, this is not an airport hotel. It is seven miles from the airport in a decayed area of Miami. It is difficult to find. The bedding is poor and the location is loud. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Desk very friendly, food, maid service, front desk, bar area, concierge - everything about hotel was very good A bit far away but once we learned our way it was fine.

overall good. just bad location of pool and spa pool. tv can use a little updating.

Room was comfortable, staff was pleasant to speak with, although you may need to brush up on your spanish as not everyone speaks english.

The service was HORRIBLE!!! They did not have a roll away bed for my son and he ended up sleeping on the floor! I called the front desk for 2 hours asking for blankets to make a pallet and finally had to go down and get them myself

Got lost finding the hotel and difficult to find our way around the local streets, but once we found it the hotel was great. We ate dinner in the hotel and then breakfast the next day, which was very convenient.

I stayed in this hotel for one night and was extremely disappointed. The pictures on the website do not even closely resemble the run-down state of the room I had to stay in. The room carpet stank of vomit and old cigarette smoke. I had a really hard time falling asleep because of the smell. The furniture was very old, and the walls were super thin […] - I could hear every word my neighbors exchanged with each other. The room was a complete dump.... At 8am the cleaning lady walked inside the room even though I told her I do not wish any service and at 9 am (check-out time is at 12h00) I received a phone call from someone who seemed to be the cleaning lady who asked me questions in Spanish (I assume she wanted to know when she can clean the room?). I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, based on the room I stayed in and the unprofessional service I encountered. Lees meer

very nice hotel. lots of shopping options and restaurants nearby. friendly staff.

Staff is nice, rooms are large. Location is next to highway, you will need a car to see places but this is a necessary almost everywhere in Florida. Parking is free and big.

The hotel was so far away from the airport, it was a 35 dollar cab ride, which I took because there shuttle wasn't running. The hotel staff was very rude. The room was really bad, this was not even a two star. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

The airport shuttle service is not very good - they only have one vehicle and thus make only one trip per hour or less. So if you just missed a shuttle, you will be waiting at least an hour. Also, the hotel restaruant doesn't open until 7:30 AM. So if you want to catch the 8:00 shuttle to the airport, you better eat fast or wait for the 9:15 shuttle. […] It is also difficult to get front desk personnel to answer the phone and/or get service when you're not calling from your room. Waiting for the shuttle to bring to the hotel was horrible. Had to wait much too long. Get to the hotel the bar downstairs closed and would not serve any food,. Had to walk to get food. They need to have more than 1 shuttle and it should run 24 hours a day.

if you are not fluent in spanish and would like service this is not the place for you.

Shower heal in the bathroom was poor and could not adjust spray. I complained about this to the front desk three times with NO action. I left a letter to the hotel manager on the fourth morning and still no response or any repairs.

Good for a day or two. Close to everything !!!

The owners of this property stated that they just renovated the building, but they missed room 219! The bathroom was especially in need of a face lift. While the room itself was large and decorated nicely, the bedding was not at all comfortable. New mattresses and a new bathroom would definitely be a plus as the location and price were very desirable […] and convenient to all. Lees meer

This hotel is very nice and reasonable in price. It is more than we expected for the price. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. I would stay again and reccommend to others.
