Beoordeeld door een gast van Hotels.com op 27 feb, 2013Net hotel met behulpzame medewerkers. Onze kinderen sliepen op de uitgeklapte bank, maar dat ligt slecht. Je voelt de veren. Heb het gemeld en er werden direct extra dekbedden op gelegd om op te slapen en toen lag de bank beter. De locatie van het hotel is perfect. Maar let op de District en Circle line (ondergrondse bij het hotel) liggen er bijna elk weekend uit voor onderhoud. Erg lastig!! Verder een uitstekend hotel. Om bij terug te komen.

Some strange bits seem not to have been refurbished, like old doors and drafty windows, leaving the impression of an old dormitory, but in fact the bathroom and furnishings were new and clean. If they had really finished the job properly, it would have felt like a really fancy place. 4 person family room was huge, but the second bed wasn't really big enough for two kids. We used a cushion on the ground for one, which was fine. Very close to museums, which was lovely, and easy access 2 blocks from Gloucester Rd tube. Didn't try breakfast, given many nice cafes just down in gloucester rd, including pret and starbucks and some independent options.

Hoewel het hotel is qua locatie prima centraal, de metro vlakbij. De kamer was schoon, alleen vond ik de dekens op de bedden minder fijn. Al met al een prima kwaliteit/ prijs verhouden, je bent immers in deze stad weinig op je kamer.

Een prettig hotel, mooi gelegen, dichtbij gezellige, niet dure en wel heel lekkere eethuisjes en op loopafstand van Portobello road. Vlakbij metrostation Baywater en Queensway, de laatste heeft een verbinding met de circle, ook fijn, je bent overal zo! Het hotel was schoon en de kamers werden ook iedere dag schoongemaakt, zelfs de theezakjes werden elke dag aangevuld. Heerlijk om sávonds een kopje thee te kunnen drinken voor het slapengaan. Onze kamer was vrij klein, maar wel met hoog plafond, dus niet benauwd en met een ligbad. Het ontbijt was goed en het personeel vriendelijk. Kortom, voor herhaling vatbaar.

"Goede locatie, weinig service"
Het hotel was perfect gelegen 1minuut van metro en 10 minuten lopen naar National History en de V&A. Kamers zien er mooi uit, helaas weinig kunnen slapen door de drukke weg waaraan dit hotel ligt. Dus let op bij boeking niet een kamer aan de straat kant nemen. De staff zei dat er aan beide kanten lawaai is en dat er dubbele beglazing is maar wij hebben […] echt liggen trillen in bed als er een bus langs kwam, wij hadden kamer 004. De volgende avond een kamer aan de andere kant gekregen op de derde verdieping, dit was veel beter.Ik zou een volgende keer hier niet meer gaan slapen, ongeinteresseerde staff en het vult niets aan aan je verblijf in Londen en in die omgeving heb je veel keuzes uit hotels. "Don't take the last room available."
It was the last room available and it lived up to that bill. The room was right over the kitchen and, since the window didn't close all the way, it was filled with different aromas. The shower was clogged. At first, I had one minute to use the water before I had to turn it off due to a clogged drain. It eventually drained. After I reported the problem […] and supposedly some action taken, I had two minutes to use the water before it filled the drain. The cook could not get my eggs cooked to my satisfaction during a four day stay. It was a great location and friendly front desk staff. Behind the scenes seemed to be lacking. "a clean and convenient location"
I would stay at this hotel again. The hotel was clean, service was good and efficient and location was great - 50 metres from tube station. It was convieniently located. The rooms are small but they are adequately furnished so even this was not really a negative. The bathroom was a good size give the overall size of the room. My sister was in a single […] room that was hysterically small but even this was sufficient as we were out sightseeing all day and didn't really need anything other than a clean room to sleep in. My room accomodated myself and my two daughters one of whom slept in a rollaway cot. It was a bit tight but certainly manageable. Cleanliness is more important to me than having more space. Hotel was updated, clean & comfortable. Great food & nice cozy bar. Staff was very helpful & polite. Train station literally across the street and a bus stop right outside the door. "Excellent location for Earls Court exhibitions"
Very clean hotel with well equipped, modern rooms. Excellent shower, although bathrooms in single rooms are very small (not unusual for London though). TV with good range of free to view digital channels. Location is great for business guests visiting exhibitions at Earls Court, just one tube stop away. Gloucester Road station is immediately opposite […] the hotel so almost anywhere in London only a short journey away. The only slight negative is that single rooms do actually only have a single bed. we recently stayed at the Rydges Hotel for 2 nights. Enjoyed our stay very much. The service and cleanliness was outstanding. Room was very nice and we had the best sleep ever in a hotel due to a very comfortable mattress and the size of the bed (king). Only small concern was the size of the bathroom. When you are over 6 ft tall it becomes a bit cramped […] as the space between the toilet and shower is very small, however the shower was very good. "Not bad rooms, not great service"
I ordered a "studio" room and couldn't help but feel cheated as the room was essentially just one room with an extra bed, which I never needed. I was hoping to get a room with a small separate lounge and tv, but I guess in London that may perhaps be asking too much. This is what I thought I paid for though - I wouldn't of stumped up the extra cash if […] I knew I was only getting an additional sleeper couch bed out of the deal. Surrounding area is lovely, and very convenient. 2 mins to the tube. Room service took 1hr and was almost cold when it got to me though. Not great service! "Designed for looks and not for comfort."
The hotel looked great after its recent refurbishment but it just felt a bit uncomfortable. Our room (Executive King, basement level) had no bath and one of those showers that comes straight down from the ceiling. Not my favourite design if you don't want to wash your hair although there was also a handheld shower head. The toilet is square, not very […] comfy and there wasn't enough room for 2 people's toilet bags. The bed was lovely and comfortable but the bedside tables are difficult to reach. The air con kept returning the room to 21 degrees when 24 felt nicer. The dining room was interesting to look at but the strange jazz music was a bit of an acquired taste. The chairs were too low for the tables and the forks were impossible to use, curving round the wrong way. I would go again but it wouldn't be my first choice. The bed however was great. "Good Base"
I t was my first time staying at this hotel.It is a pleasant location and I couldn't fault the room. The hotel is a good base but not the sort of lace one would want to spend anytime in. The bar is small and basic as is the reception area.Gecontroleerde Hotels.com gastenbeoordeling

"Couples and business"
Loved the room, quite modern and had a slight masculine air to it but really good size, king executive room. Coffee machine a little temperamental but was worth waiting for the coffee. Also given coffee bags as an addition to be used with kettle rather than those horrid instant coffee sachets. A pack provided dressing gown and slippers. Flat screen […] tv. Bathroom lovely with a detachable shower which was great for me as had a foot injury. Bathroom products were lovely and unusual. Towels not the greatest quality, so room for improvrment but not worth marking down and just possible was a one off. Breakfast t £15 per person seems a little steep so did not have it, so cannot judge. "Pleasant Hotel"
We enjoyed a two night stay when we first arrived in London-- and we returned for another night after traveling north for a bit. The hotel was very clean and most of the staff was friendly and pleasant. Several were eager to answer questions and help us with map routes. "Walking distance to Royal Albert Hall"
Excellent location for our one night stay in London - we visited the Royal Albert Hall & Natural History museum. Hotel very clean & tidy. Check-in went smoothly. "Nice hotel in a good location"
We stayed for a week. A family of three in an Executive Studio. Hotel recently renovated in contemporary style. Welcoming lobby. Good sized and clean room. Large enough bathroom. Cordial staff. Weekly Wi-Fi package for a reasonable price, but cumbersome access. Computer stations by the lobby, but internet access only after you parches a code. No printer […] by the computer. Could not print boarding passes. Very good location. Two minutes from Gloucester Road station with the Piccadilly, Circle and District lines. Easy access to Heathrow airport and around the city.
