Na een lange reis kwamen we aan bij dit hotel. Voor het hotel konden we met veel moeite parkeren ( 19 Euro per nacht). Het was gelegen aan een drukke straat met op de hoek een tram/busstation. Dat was erg handig, want als je Zurich in wilt is parkeren overal een ramp. Het personeel was uiterst vriendelijk, maar over de kwaliteit van het restaurant waren […] we minder te spreken. De Wiener Schnitzel van een van ons was werkelijk bedolven door een dikke, half aangebrande paneerlaag. Nee, we zouden hier niet meer heengaan. Lees meer

Prima hotel, tram voor de deur. Parkeren kan ook voor de deur op eigen terein (lees: op de stoep). 1 kamer met 2 vowassenen en 2 kids is wat aan de krappe kant. De slaapbank is zeker niet geschikt voor 'grote' mensen (ik schat in t/m basisschool leeftijd). Wij waren er begin mei 2011 en ze vertelde dat het hele hotel binnenkort gerenoveerd zou worden. […] Het was er al prima, dus het zal alleen maar nog beter worden.... I came to Zürich and stayed at the Mercure Stoller in order to visit the Basel World fair (by train from Zürich). The hotel is in a bit of a boring neighbourhood about 3 Km from the main railroad station and the city center. You can get there conveniently by taking tram no. 3. The hotel was OK, clean and without any major problems. However, there […] was only a slight trickle of hot water from the tap at the sink in the bathrom. And the water would not drain from the bathtub, so I had to block the valve for it to stay open. I did not bother to mention these shortcomings until I left the next day as it would have been more bothersome to change the room or having a repairman fix it during my stay. Really nice stay at Mercure, really quiet at night, really clean and comfortable. Could not sleep however, simply because I had a job interview the next day and the bedt was very cosy believe me! I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Zurich.

This was a nice hotel with small rooms located in a somewhat remote part of Zurich. The taxi cost to the center of town averaged $30 which must be factrored into the price. Also the hotel cost does not include breakfast (buffet breakfast cost was roughly $30 additional). The single room is quite small although the bed was comfortable. Our stay was really comfortable in this hotel, the only thing that I didn´t like was that we have two twins bed together instead of one queen size bed, and they charge you at the end of your stay for some taxes(we pay extra 15 CHF for 3 nights). The location is great, it is like 5 minutes walking from tram station, you can take tram #3 to get to de […] main train station in only 15 minutes. If you buy the Zurich Card (for tourists) you can use for free all the trains, and enter to all museums, and have a discount in the walking tour. Lees meer

Noisy room, no wireless (even paid!!)

This hotel is in my opinion not up to the 4* standards in other hotel chains. I was assigned to a room facing the main road. It's very noisy with constructions going on and tram passing by very often. It's a single bedroom with quite limited space. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

I used to be a favorite guest of Accor hotel for over 4 years. I know very well the Mercure and Novotel hotels. Mercure Stoller Zurich is completely different from what I was used to. This Mercure is more equivelant to Ibis Hotel then Mercure. The room is very small and looks more as a small cabin in a boat that a room in a 4 stars hotels. The shower […] is very small as well, and very similar to those you see at Ibis Hotel (2 stars hotel). I was waked up at 8h00 in the morning with a very strong noise of drilling. In fact, the city is working on a long term project down the street, just in from of my window and we weren't even informed via the hotel website. 2 of my colleagues reserved their rooms, after I did mine but they were upgraded while I got a very basic room. One I asked the guy in the reservation how could it be, he didn't know what to answer. Breakfast is not included and very expensive. The only good thing in this hotel is the Internet connection that was for free. Lees meer

The staff was cold and not very helpful other then the restaurant staff. The desk people were no smiles, no welcome to the hotel. Area is off the beaten path.

Good location near public transportation, nice and clean, friendly staff, I was very happy with this choice for the price.

THE FRIDGE IN THE ROOM DID NOT WORK, WHICH WAS A MINOR INCONVENIENCE. IT WAS EXPENSIVE TO HAVE BREAKFAST AND DINNER IN THE HOTEL RESTAURANT. THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN TEA/COFFEE MAKING FACILITY IN THE ROOM.

The hotel is decent but the woman manager is quite rude and unpleasant - and, by the way, I'm not very picky. For example, she would not let me check in until 6 hours after I arrived even though they had empty rooms (she said rules are rules...even though it was already late afternoon) Additionally, when I stayed the weather was nice (but not even hot) […] but the room I had was an inferno from the incoming sunlight. With no air conditioning it was like sleeping in an oven until it cooled off around 4 AM. It is difficult to find a bad Swiss hotel. I would avoid at all costs. Lees meer

Hotel Mercure Stoller Zurich is just about 10 mins from the Zurich Main Staion by tram. The tram stop is just opposite to the hotel and trams operate from 5 in the morning to 2 in the night. The room was neat and clean we found it to be much spacious compared to the other hotels we put up in Switzerland. The bathroom was also clean and spacious. The […] checkin time is 2pm, which is way too late. We had requested an early checkin, but the Hotel didnt accept it as they said they didnt have the rooms ready. So we had to keep our luggage in their cloak room and come back after 3 hrs. Normally, the checkin time should be 12pm. The only one complaint I have is with the internet access. There was a public internet access point in the hotel hosted by Swisscom. Although the hotel could have provided the access and charged in leiu of it, they asked us to buy credits from swisscom directly. So we entered our credit card info and we weere charged 5 swiss francs but the comp got hanged and we didnt get to access the net. When complained to the hotel staff, they were of no help to us and said talk to swisscom directly. The issue was finally not resolved! Anyways, I would definately recommend this hotel as it was value for money! Lees meer

Zurich is a very expensive city. It was an amazing deal. You do have to take a tram to the city center but it's a 10min trip. There aren't super interesting things around but it has all services near (pharmacy, post office, supermarket, health food, bakery etc.) and again, very easy to get to the center of town. 1. I was double charged though I had confirmed with the hotel twice that all my room charges have been paid. I settled parking charge in cash but still was charged for the room. 2. The room needs serious renovation and looks like a cheap 2 star hotel with dated furniture, uncomfortable beds, and worn out carpet 3. I felt very unsafe on the first floor: […] the area is not safe (admitted by the hotel reception as well) and could not even open windows because of that. It was really stuffy - no air conditioner of course ( how about 4 stars???). 4. It takes 5 minute walk to get to the old garage to park the car. Area around the garage is not safe at all; we had difficulties finding the garage and it was quite scary to park the car at night there. The door of the garage has a huge sign about possible vandalism. 5. Horrible hotel and I would never recommend it to anyone. Hotels.com should not even offer this hotel as a 4 star establishment. Athought it is a bit far from city center, it is worth staying. As public transportation in Switzerland is really good, the location is no longer a problem. The tram station is noly fifteen meters away from the hotel, so it is conenient to get to the downtown. Besids, there are tow large chain supermarket nearby. Nice hotel with friendly staff. Only drawback was that they required a large deposit even though the room was already paid for. It took almost 2 weeks to get the money back on my credit card.

Desk clerk was very nice; internet worked very well (cable connection only). There are two tram lines just outside the hotel, so it only takes about 10 minutes to get to the old town

After booking this hotel, I came accros a "Horror Review" on the web. I was really very nervous about staying here. However I was pleasantly surprised. A great location, really comfortable, quite and clean. Staff were efficient, maybe a tad reserved, but very professional. A nice restaurant, efficient service. No negatives whatsoever. samll room, beds not confortable, No Air Condition, No free WiFi

An old hotel, all room sizes differ even if you book a premier room you may end up with room 505 which is the size of a broom cupboard. Parking is off site. Staff are helpful though.

in summer no a/c. window (one) only half opens. ask for another room. dont have one. four horrible nights. bad experience booking thru hotels.com

plus: 1/ this hotel was far cheaper than equivelants in town 2/nearby tram service was excellent 3/Front cafe area was pleasant and service was quite good (despite the fact it limited the car parking area (it used to be the car park) negative: 1/appeared very close to the seedier side of town with lots of sex shops and working girls about. 2/Hotel omitted […] to advise customers about the roadworks which were major and we could not initially get to the hotel as the road was blocked. 3. NO PARKING the few spaces being filled with builders vans. 4. Had to pay hotel for hotel parking a few streets away 25CHF per night very expensive!!!! 5.one of the front dest staff seemed unfriendly and stern and miserable 6.we were in a group and mostly paid for premier rooms which were all on the 5th floor and not that premier at all. The fifth floor had covering all over the corridor carpets as the builders were in installing some equipment in the loft area above our rooms (no chance of a lay in) 7/. there was no air conditioning and it was very hot. 8/ none of the fridges worked so 'complimentary water' was warm. 9/ OVERALL WE HAD A FAIRLY PLEASANT STAY DESPITE THESE COMMENTS AND PRICE WISE IT WAS OK. We visited in early July. There is no room with air conditioning in his hotel. They placed a very small electric fan on the desk. But it is almost useless.

Hotel is expensive compared to what it is offering: Room is small and low service. Only good thing that it is located near a tramway station.

Very good hotel for stay, good staff helpful staff, clean and comfort.

We wanted a convenient but not expensive hotel and Stoller turned out to satisfy this. Staff were helpful when asked, room was basic but clean and adequate. The area it is in is not up-market but the convenience was good and plenty of food facilities nearby, also close to public transport including for the airport. Satisfied customers!

pretty good for the price & location to Rail City. Towels were thin. Room was cozy. If Courtyard by Marriott was a 4, then this was a 3. No refrigerator that works w/o extra charge - read between their lines.

This was the worst Mercure Hotel (Accor Hotels Group) I have ever stayed at. I have always stayed at Accor group of Hotels which ever country I visited and mostly in Mercure Hotels. I would not even give this Hotel 2 star rating. Room was really small. Shower was awafully slow.There was hardly any force in the water from the shower or even in the wash […] basin in the Bathroom. It was also very noisy. Considering the Hotel was located on the main road, you would expect rooms to be sound proofed.But they were not. There was no Air conditioning in the room. What kind of 4* hotel does not have air conditioning. It was very hot in the room and made it difficult to sleep. The reception was very unhelpful. They were so very reluctant to even provide me with an extra towel. And they said they cant send it up to my room either. Internet access was listed in the Hotel facalities. But when I wanted to use it, it was only available in German. Bed was so small. They were charging money even to receive a call to the Hotel room. This is the first time I have ever seen any hotel charging their customers to receive the call in their room. Just trying to rip off the customers in every way possible. I would not choose to stay in Mercure Hotels ever again. I really have lost confidence in them. Lees meer

Experienced cold frontdesk service from female front desk officer. She is not rude but snobbish in the way she response to any questions. Does not provide any cup or kettle inside, and there is no complimentary tea/ coffee inside room. We were informed that we need to collect drinking water from restuarant in the hotel. The bed in the room was really comfortable, i didn't wanna get out of bed. the hotel is very conveniently located right next to a tram stop. nice quiet neighborhood with a great cafe next to the hotel where you can get excellent pastries and movenpick ice-cream. i would definitely stay here again.

BECAUSE OF THE EXCELLENT TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM WITH TRAMS, THE LOCATION OF THIS HOTEL IS QUITE GOOD. OVERALL A VERY GOOD PLACE TO STAY IN ZURICH AT A REASONABLE PRICE.

Zurich is a very expensive city. This hotel is close to Albisriederplatz, which has a number of quick connections to the city center. It didn't seem to have A/C but it was cool, so I didn't have too much of a problem. I wouldn't go there is you're used to 3+ star treatment in big cities, but it definitely met what I needed.

The room was small, but what do you expect ... it's Europe. It was very nice and comfortable. The only time in the room was to sleep, how much room does one person need? The hotel staff was incredible and the outdoor restraurant was fabulous. The rail system runs right by the hotel and it's easy to catch a train to downtown where the big trains depart. […] I would stay here again and again. Lees meer

As Zurich being super expensive city, i found a deal on this hotel on very reasonable price. Other than the fact that rooms are smaller (we had a 4 bed room), we were happy with the experience. Convenient location - takes 15-20 minutes from Zurich HB (main railway station in Zurich). Zurich anyways has great public transportation. Good food options nearby - I liked the takeaway join in front of this hotel that serves meditteranean food.
