Holiday Inn Express Toronto - Downtown in Toronto

A very nice, good value for money, hotel in a good location - I managed to walk everywhere I want to go.

We had a nice stay in this hotel. Convenient location and nice price. Breakfast is good only bad thing is that the food display is very small and narrow.

We booked 2 rooms, we stayed on the 12th floor. Great views of the water and CN Tower. Staff were great. Hotel was very clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It was a Great weekend for our family.

Would have received higher rating but we had to change rooms 2nd night because air conditioning was not working. Housekeeping staff should have reported this when cleaning the room although I was also remiss in not reporting this problem before we left for the day. Very convenient location although neighbourhood is not great. My friend & I (2 senior […] females) did walk to an excellent Italian neighbourhood restaurant for dinner. Opposite park and very near markets. It has easy walking access to all downtown attractions. We stayed in 1201 which was a corner room with view of park and church spire and the cleaning staff on this floor were outstanding.

The front staff didn't have a good knowledge of getting from the Airport to the Hotel. As a result, I got lost on the streets getting there with my luggage in the evening. It took me 2.5 hours from the time I was ready to leave the airport until I got to the hotel due to the poor and inaccurate information.

LIke it a lot. We had dogs with us and they were very welcoming. I would go back there anytime.

Hotel was nice, room was nice, bed was comfy but they put us in a room that smelled like it had been used for a smoking room previously, very close to ACC overall i would stay there again!

So glad to have found this hotel!! It is across the park from my destination. Very close to St Lawrence Market and some very nice, shopping and sight seeing, restaurants etc. Rates are reasonable and even breakfast is included. I will stay here again.

A little far from downtown. about 15~20minutes by walking. Service was not bad. Breakfast service was good. Everything is good to stay except distance from downtown.

For me, this hotel was a good choice, but I'm not your "typical business traveler." I don't need and don't want to pay for "luxury." I want a clean, quiet room, with "black-out curtains" so that I'm not bothered by night lights or the rising sun, and a breakfast buffet with a decent choice. Lastly, I like to be about one mile away from where I will […] be all day, so that twice a day I can get some good exercise by walking from hotel to meeting room and back. Given these preferences, I rate this hotel as 4 overall. After the first night, I reported three maintenance problems (plumbing leaks, malfunctioning furniture) to the front desk; all were taken care of that day. So I rated "condition or maintenance of the hotel" as 3, but their response brought the room back up to a 4; I didn't give 5s to any of the seven items on the rating list. I also gave a 3 to the "surrounding neighborhood;" this needs to be qualified, as the hotel is near the boundary of two kinds of neighborhoods. Going toward the center of Toronto, and the conference center where I needed to be each day (south and west of the hotel), things were fine; one evening stroll east and north, however, quickly brought me into an area that I found to be uncomfortable. Thus, I was pleased with this hotel and the price I paid, and my morning and evening walks, through the financial district (e.g., Bay St) and some nice shopping areas (e.g. Fashion district ) were enjoyable, and varied. Finally, my room, with a queen-sized bed, was adequate, but cramped. I doubt that this room was designed with a queen bed in mind; when you opened the cabinet doors, in order to view the TV screen, the doors just barely cleared the foot-end of the bed. The clothes closet was small, but adequate for my suits and shirts for a 3-day stay. My wife would not have been pleased with the space, either in the bedroom or bathroom. Was very pleased at my recent stay. Found all staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and there were plenty of seating to relax and enjoy a second cup of coffee without feeling hurried. Would highly recommend.

For the price the hotel was ok, the room was reasonably clean but not spotless and don't expect a mini bar or fridge in the room there is however ice machines on certain floors. We had to request coffee refills each day as housekeeping didn't replenish them. Great breakfast with lots of variety. The hotel is close to the city center and restaurants. […] It is across the street from a salvation Army refuge so there are a few homeless people wandering around the hotel not that they caused any real problems but we had to exercise caution. The location of the hotel is excellent, close to downtown, walk to all attractions and shopping. Great way to start the day with wholesome breakfast. although slow, the internet is a way for business people to keep in contact. Clean and well maintained. We had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express Downtown Toronto. Convenient location, and under ground parking ( at a small fee compared to other Toronto hotels). With in Walking distance to the Eaton Centre on a nice day, maybe a little to far if you are carrying many packages. Park, gas station, McDonalds, and other restaurants with in the block, […] and easy to find off the Gardiner express way. Would recommend to others, and I would stay again for sure! Lees meer

Room was not that big but was adequate as we only stayed one night--but we don't really spend a lot of time in our rooms on vacation anyway! Very convenient and clean. Staff very nice and helpful. Would certainly stay again and recommend to others.

The staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly, the room was clean and well kept. I really didn't spend alot of time in the hotel. Rates were reasonable, parking was expensive considering we were paying to stay there, I think Parking cost should have been included. If I had to stay in the downtown district again I would stay here again.

I stayed here for 4 nights in May. No hassle- staff were friendly and helpful

Good Hotel lovely clean room, awesome man on check in very efficient and pleasant. Have no complaints at all about hotel and it was convenient for our one night stay and nice and quiet

Holiday Inn Express has been consistent in what it offers from property to property. No surprises here. Nice sized room - all white bedding (my litmus test) - soft sheets. Bathtub. All very clean. A bit dated (tv and carpet). Just a few blocks from St. Lawrence Market, grocery, wine shop - even walked to CN Tower. Good price - good value. Quiet. Very […] satisfied. worked out great for us to go to a play, and to a Jay's game...saw the no-hitter! Toronto is such a nice walkable city and this hotel was conveniently located. also, the free breakfast was very good, always being refreshed. Parking structure does not accommodate large vehicles, luckily our Suburban got one of the 3 spots available outside.

Enjoyed our stay. Visited Toronto for a symphony concert. Close to streetcar routes. Near market. Good restaurants in area. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Definitely would stay there again.

Reasonable rates, cleanliness, and easy walk or short cab ride to all downtown attractions. Breakfast was very good..food very fresh and attendants never allowed food to run out for people to wait. Comfortable, convenient, clean, & reasonable, with good food to boot. Perfect for me!

We went on long weekend there and spent couple of days at hotel. The staff was really very nice and helpfull. The room was really clean and nice. The hotel was just couple of blocks away from Yonge street. The breakfast buffet option at this hotel is really nice. They even allowed us to keep our luggage at their place even after check-out, till the […] later part of the day when we had to board our bus. Easy to find off the highway, friendly staff, clean and spacious room, nice hot breakfast, great value for the price paid. Not luxurious... but clean and professional. Hot breakfast and free Internet are huge plus.

Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent location close to almost everything downtown. It's our first choice of where to stay in Toronto.

Everything about this hotel was great. It is within walking distance to all of the attractions we needed. The service was great, Chris was awesome. The only thing I may suggest is the condition of the mattress on the pullout, we had to flip it over so our son didn't have the springs poking him all night. The rates were amazing for the area!! Very convienient to almost everything that you would want to do! The staff were very courtious and friendly. Helped me find nice restaurants and shopping. Room was very clean and well appointed. Will stay there again!! Make sure you get set up with a Priority Card! It is a great deal.

Stayed here on the CaRMS tour Jan 2011. I checked in at 1am after my flight, and was welcomed by a friendly front desk attendant. The check in was very quick and I my room, while slightly dated, was spotlessly clean and there was no traffic or other noise. I also did not hear any noise from other rooms, and was able to sleep in a bit to help get over […] my jet lag. The included breakfast was great (pancakes, bagels, muffins, cinnamon buns, yogurt, sausages, eggs, fruit). I departed Toronto from Union Station which was an easy 15 min walk. Note: I'm not sure if the airport shuttle goes to any other downtown hotels at walking distance, but I didn't want to have the hassle late at night so I took a cab which was expensive at $54. The room was small compared to other rooms of the same chain. Considering it was winter they did not have sufficient blankets on the bed. Their mechanism to pull out the TV also crushed one of my fingers when it was pinched between it and the platform it sat on.

While not in the most ideal location. The hotel is clean, staff is super friendly and the free hot breakfast is enough for everyone!. Have stayed their 2 or 3 times and would definetely choose again.
