Close to Venice Beach and Santa Monica. The hotel rents bikes for $ 5 per hour. It takes about 10 minutes to drive to Venice Beach by bike. There's only one washing machine in the guest laundry which is not enough for such a large hotel. Very friendly staff.

All that we needed and expected.

It was a great stay for the weekend! It's right off the freeway and close to all the necessary things that a vacationer could need, supermarkets, restaurants (great selection!), and of course, the beach! Our family would definitely stay here again!

A bit of construction around hotel right now. The staff was very helpful and friendly. My friends luggage was lost on Southwest flight and we did not receive it for over 24 hours. The hotel was on the lookout for it to arrive and kept us informed of any contact from Southwest and the hotel front desk staff did everything they could to help find it. […] They have directions at front desk to most major landmarks which was very helpful. We thought there would be a fridge in the room but there wasn't. We called room service, and inquired about it, and they delivered a mini fridge to our room in less than 10 minutes!

Hotel was overpriced and not in good condition.

Liked our our stay earlier in the week we returned for another two days.

We needed a hotel close to LAX, our son (we were visiting), attractions and shopping. This was the place for us; the Courtyard had it all. Breakfast was really good and substantial. Our stay was so good my wife is planning another visit in the near future. I'm not sure if it is to see our son or just to enjoy the hotel!

Front desk people giving out mis-information. For example, when I checked in - they told me local tel. (310 area code) charges were free. Not so. Requested a renovated room - told me they didn't have one avail. - I insisted and we all know a hotel keeps a block of rooms available on standby, they eventually found one for me after 45 minutes. This hotel is undergoing a major renovation that they don't mention on their website. There is also construction on an adjacent property. When we checked in, my eyes happened to land on a piece of paper at the front desk detailing the painting going on during our stay. It was exterior and didn't sound like it would be a bother to us. The front desk […] person directed us to use the service elevator which was weird to me, and really tacky. The worst part came later that night when we returned and used the main lobby elevator. There posted in tiny 12 pt font was a piece of paper notifying guests that THE WATER WOULD BE SHUT OFF for several hours the next morning! Why didn't anyone say anything upon check in??? There was no mention to us at all! And had it not been so late when we found out, we would have gone to another hotel. It was rude and imconsiderate not to tell us. Had we taken the service elevator as instructed, we wouldn't have even known that we couldn't take showers, brush teeth or even flush the toilet! Lees meer

it was very nice, the staff were courteous. the rooms are clean. it's close to shopping area. i definitely would stay again.

Liked the convience of the hotel to Universal Studios. The bus ride to the park was fast. Did not like the fact that I had the front door staff always around waiting for tips. Very unprofessional. I was given an old stale bagel from the coffee shop in the hotel lobby. Did receive a refund when I spoke to manager.

Room provided was on the side of the Hotel facing a Mall/Grocery Store... NOT a good room if you like sleeping in! Trucks started unloading loudly at about 6 AM! Also pictures on-line far nicer then the real thing. A better choice here would be the Marriott near the Marina instead! Also pushy Maids... Right next to shopping and restaurants but had to navigate with construction going on. no "business center" and three computers in lobby always in use. pool great, restaurant decent, staff very nice and accommodating. recommend for price and location. not recommending for quiet and work environment.

Hotel was nicely located. Our family enjoyed the nearby shopping and movie theaters. We felt the gym was lacking, but a nearby gym gave us guest passes. We loved the balcony in the room and was nice to be able to open the door and have fresh air in the room. Hotel had a nice breakfast buffet and good room service. The hotel is plesent but not really a hotel to go to for a holiday is more of a business hotel. There's currently building work going on in front of the hotel. There's a supermarket and a few take away nearby but not many resturants. The resturant in the hotel only opens for breakfast then shuts till 4pm.

There was not enough parking.

I enjoyed my stay in the Courtyard Marriott Marina del Rey. I read previous reviews and they provided an accurate picture. My room was very clean, and comfortable. It overlooked the pool - a very pleasant view. I could hear traffic from surrounding streets but was not bothered by it. I did wish there was a screen on my window, but I left it open anyway […] - I love fresh air! The staff was very friendly, always greeting me with a smile and a hello when we passed each other in the hall or when I crossed the lobby near the front desk. I shopped in the stores near the hotel and was glad to discover both a book store, drug store and several coffee shops within just a few steps from the parking lot. I plan to book a room again when I return to L.A. next year! Lees meer

This is a fine hotel if you wish to take a quick visit to Venice Beach and Santa Monica without paying their exorbitant prices. The only downside is the construction currently taking place.

they can't post your review if your complaint is the rate you paid so I'll just say it was double what I thought the hotel was worth. i'm not the type who has interactions with the hotel staff other than to ask for the key. many tourists stay in this hotel, and it may be a good choice for ease of access to LAX airport. There is a pool, with many children […] and families. There is no free breakfast. The hotel is seperated from everything by very busy highways. If you are not comfortable in urban driving you will not be comfortable in this area at any hotel. Lees meer

For our first time stay in LA we choose to stay at a hotel near our airport and the places we wanted to be, 'cause we just had 3 days. We wanted to go to the Venice beach and Universal studios. This one is quite near the beach and the prices are okay. The service was great. The only negative point is they don't have a shuttle between the hotel and the […] airport, so you need to take the cab. But it's near the airport so the price with the cab was also okay. Great hotel in the Marina del Rey area, great for the focus group facility that was within walking distance for our business needs. Close to a great shopping center full of plenty of eating places and a CVS for any other needs.

I have stayed in this hotel many times. The area for shops, movies, restaurants etc is very good. However, they have fenced in a construction site adjoining the hotel property you need to drive through to get to the entrance-- really has a bad feel to it. Just okay. That's about it. Everything is just okay. As we arrived, I was fairly disappointed just driving in as everything surrounding the hotel is now vacant and fenced off. It feels like you're pulling in to some weird B-rated movie and this is the only location they could afford. It is right next to the freeway too. We were lucky and didn't have […] a room on that side of the hotel but I could imagine it would noisy. We checked in and as we went to our room, my partner remarked that she felt like we were in the Shining. You'll know what she meant if you stay there. The room was fine. One window, small tv, no refrigerator. The bathroom is pretty small, as in, have to stand back by the wall between the toilet and sink to close the door, small. They leave a bottle of water on the desk and invite you to come check out the market, which is a room full of vending machines. The air conditioner works really well but is INCREDIBLY noisy. One of those in the wall units with push-button selections. They do provide ear plugs along with the soap and shampoo pile. You will probably need them. The water pressure in the shower was great though! And the water glasses and coffee mugs are glass/ceramic which I think is a plus. Howerver, I would not stay here again for the same price. Hätten abends gern noch die Hotelbar besucht

Cet hotel fut un choix pratique pour nos déplacements dans les environs de LA et il est à quelques minutes de l'aéroport LAX. C'est propre mais il a besoin d'être rénové. Le personnel est courtois sans plus. Je le recommande pour sa situation géographique.
