The bad bathroom. Too old without renewing.

We had a great stay in this hotel. The bar was very nice in the evening. Our room was large and very nice.

Stayed for one night and after being there for 10 minutes I strongly considered going elsewhere. The from was very old, small, and outdated. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone under 50 years old.

As everyone else says, the public spaces are fantastic. Also as everyone else says, there's lots of street noise (we brought a noise machine which took care of that). Our room was clean and well maintained -- not the current definition of high-end, but really very nice. A handsome room. Vallet damaged my new 2012 CLS550 while parking it. I called the manager of the hotel 3 times and she still hasn't returned my calls.

Room was comfy, bathroom a little small

We booked the club level room, and for the little extra money was very worth it. Rooms on this level get complimentary continental breakfast and evening appetizers in the Club Lounge which is on the same level so you don't have to go downstairs. Did not see any duct taped carpet anywhere like many others mentioned. Room was very clean, but mattress […] was not very comfortable. Bathroom is very small, not enough power outlets in room. Parking at the hotel is now $45! So park across the street at the Pershing Square lot for $16, very close, right across the street. Overall very beautiful well maintained hotel. I absolutely loved this hotel and wish I could have stayed longer; I will definitely be back! Lobby and all public areas were so gorgeous and pristine for such an old hotel. The rooms had a little more wear but hardly noticeable and very clean. Bathroom is tiny but funtional and clean and the shower had the best water pressure! We were able to get room […] service at 1am and it was excellent, as was the food in the restaurants. The staff were all very friendly. Be aware that parking is $40/night though; we parked in the underground parking structure at the square next door for $16 instead. Wonderful, beautiful, historic hotel. Can't wait to go back! Well worth staying in the club rooms for the breakfast and afternoon appetizers. Staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel is a beautiful historical treasure. We walked to many downtown sights. The carpet in rooms could be replaced, but it was inconsequential to us.

A little thrown off by the antiquity, but surprisingly comfortable.

Classy hotel with a lot of history but a few things found to be lacking. On the plus side its has some impressive public areas and is close to some great restaurants and the Metro, on the downside it charges for everyhing above basic so expect no frills. The rooms are nice with dated but clean bathrooms, but there is no fridge, apparenly you can rent […] one?! Wifi is expensive but free at lesser establishments, and valet parking was also expensive with doorman found to be pleasant on arrival but rude and surly on departure once you're all paid/tipped... We were subject to pressure to get off the forecourt when it was quite clear and reasonable that we needed a few minutes to load our four bags seeing as we arrived with clothes and all. Breakfast was however very tasty and service from all but the valet and door staff was good. A good hotel let down by some silly easily remediable points Lees meer

Great hotel. No complimentary wifi was a bit annoying though. The only hotel in my entire trip with no internet.

Beautiful Lobby but the hallways need to be renovated. Outlets were very old, was nervous to plug my blow dryer. Loved the fitness room, pool, and sauna. Front desk and valet were very super nice. Overall, would stay again only if I get another great deal on Hotels.com.

The Biltmore is a great deal in LA...especially if you spend time going in different directions around the metro area. The hotel itelf has a few blemishes, but the architecture and the history make it unique. Especially quiet on the weekends.

Our room was clean, comfortable and large, but sparsely furnished. The hall carpeting on our floor was well worn and in need of replacement. The lobby is spectacular. The health club and pool are very nice.

Very dirty. Olive Street room has an inch of dust in the corners.

Great location, close to many downtown restaurants and bars. The lobby and health club were very nice, as well as the service. The rooms could use updating. And you can hear the neighbors and staff in the hallway from the room. But bed was good. Would def stay here again!

Drive a few minutes to Little Tokyo and China Town. The neighborhood is not great. The closest McDonald does not have a washroom - that tells you some thing about the neighborhood. This hotel was build in 1923 and therefore it is quite a building at the time. The hallway carpet is old and the style is old. However, the ceiling is high and look spacious. […] The room's lighting was a bit dark. It's different from other modern hotel but I LIKE it. Parking is $40. Across the street is $12 over night parking, and $23 (underground with security camera). The hotel staff told me he hasn't heard any car vandalized or stolen. Therefore, I parked there $12/night. MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD WITH EXCEPTION TO THE $40 PARKING,NO OTHER PARKING ONSITE IS AVAILABLE. THE HOTEL HAD THAT 50'S TYPE OF DECOR WHICH I FOUND TO BE QUITE NICE. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN,I ONLY WISHED FOR A MORE UP TO DATE BATHROOM AREA. I BOOKED THROUGH HOTELS.COM WHICH SAVED US 1/2 THE REGULAR PRICE IF I HAD GONE TO THEM DIRECT,BUT SOMEHOW THEY […] DIDN'T RELIZE THAT UPON MY CHECKOUT AND DOUBLE CHARGED MY STAY. I CALLED AND POINTED THIS OUT TO THEM AND THEY REVERSED THECHARGES WITHIN 3 BUSINESS DAYS. I WOULD VISIT THIS PLACE AGAIN IF I HAD BUSINESS IN THIS AREA. Lees meer

Great location, great staff, but the room needed a little updating.

The hotel staff was friendly and rooms were clean... The bathrooms were VERY outdated but clean. Location was good, about a mile from LA live/staples... There is more affordable parking in the garage across the street if u don't want to pay hotel valet Also a live band played in the bar...

Overall a fine facility, however, the carpets need replacing as they are worn and taped in places. Extremely convenient location, comfortable beds/linens/pillows, clean rooms. One room was better appointed than the other and they were booked together at the same price. One was larger than the other although they were across the hall from each other. When we got to our room, the bed was not made, the bathroom had towels on the floor. The room was not cleaned. We were moved to another room. Was disappointed that the room didn't have a refrigerator...paying that much for a room, we thought would have a refrigertor.

I stay here at least 7 nights a year, and I couldn't love it more. It's just a fantastic place that keeps me coming back time and time again.

Honestly I really liked the hotel service and staff but I was very disappointed with the bed....soooo uncomfortable!!! I was waiting for the springs to break thru the mattress. I stayed for 2 nights and my back was killing me!!! The room was spacious and nice though. So besides the uncomfortable bed my only other complaint would be the obvious fixes […] to the carpets throughout the hotel that were just fixed with tape....weird for the price you would think it would look a little better. Very nice classic European style hotel in Downtown L.A. A bit far from Staples Center for walking, but doable. The room was a very good size. The bar area was nice as well. Definitely recommend.

Hotel was clean. Club room I purchased did not match picture on web site. Room was MUCH smaller. Room was clean, location was good. $40 per night parking charged extra.

Top class hotel. Friendly service in every area of the hotel, bar, restuarants, and stores. Bath room was small, but clean. Parking was a little too costly.

Our stay at the Biltmore was wonderful. It is a beautiful hotel that has a grandeur about it not seen in many hotels. My husband & I travel alot (in US & Internationally) and found this to be one of the best hotels we've ever stayed at. The service was impeccable and the staff were helpful, friendly & courteous. Awesome deal!

The hotel is gorgeous. The customer service was lovely. Unfortunately, the walls are paper thin and unless you are there to party, do not plan on sleeping. Also, prepare for the constant tingling feeling you get as soon as you lay in bed. Oh and one last thing! Self parking is no where near the hotel. The lobby and public rooms are beautiful and well maintained. The hallway carpets had burgundy duct tape to cover splits--and there was a lot of duct tape on the carpet! The room was ok, but there was a large stain on the carpet. The floor was very uneven in our room, like they had just left huge holes in the pad and carpeted over it. And a marble shelf […] in the bathroom does not make it a 'marble bathroom' as they advertise. But the beds were comfortable enough and the bedding was nice. Lees meer

I loved this beautiful piece of architecture. I had a corner room on the 11th floor, so lots of light and a bit of extra room. I was given an upgrade to that room at the desk, which sealed my loyalty to the hotel. It's an old hotel, so of course the rooms are smaller, but mine was bigger than I anticipated. The view onto Pershing Square was lovely, […] and the surrounding area lively and fun. THe club king entitles you to a lovely continental breakfast in the club room, and a wine and cheese in the evening, complete with complimentary wi-fi. I definitely thought it was worth the extra $. The pool is not to be missed - absolutely stunning! Nearby Water Grill was wonderful, and there were lots of options. I had a late checkout with no hassle from the staff. I chose to park with the hotel for convenience, but could easily have parked at Pershing Square or nearby for 1/3 the price, and the hotel staff will tell you that when you check in.
