Pluspunten: mooi modern hotel, prima bedden, airco goed afgesteld, lekkere douche, vriendelijk personeel, mooi dakterras, naast het centraal station (geen geluidsoverlast van treinen). Minpunten: standaardkamer was niet erg ruim en zag uit op andere kamers.

Opvallend veel slechte kritieken gelezen over de service en de keuken van het hotel. We zijn daarom buitenshuis gaan eten. Maar volstrekt ten onrechte. De service en bediening was prima evenals het ontbijt. we komen hier terug en blijven dan ook eten.

Prima hotel met goede faciliteiten. Personeel is vriendelijk, vooral in de bar. Je loopt zo de natuur in en de Soesterduinen zijn om de hoek. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

Ligging.
Bilderberg Garden Hotel bevindt zich in het centrum van Amsterdam, dicht bij Concertgebouw, Stedelijk Museum en Van Gogh Museum. In de buurt liggen ook Vondelpark en Rijksmuseum.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Dit hotel in luxe stijl biedt diverse eetgelegenheden, zoals een restaurant en een bar/lounge. Tegen betaling kan je in openbare ruimtes gebruikmaken van een snelle inernetverbinding (draadloos of via kabel), terwijl de accommodatie over een werkstation beschikt. Dit hotel met 5 sterren beschikt over zakelijke voorzieningen waaronder vergaderruimtes voor kleine groepen, secretariële diensten en audiovisuele apparatuur. Het personeel kan op verzoek hulp bij excursies/tickets, zakelijke diensten en een geldwisseldienst regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere meertalig personeel, koffie in de lobby en gratis kranten in de lobby. Gasten kunnen tegen betaling gebruikmaken van een luchthavenshuttle ((op verzoek)). Gasten kunnen tegen betaling parkeren. Dit is een rookvrije accommodatie.
Hotelkamers.
Bilderberg Garden Hotel heeft 124 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een minibar en een kluis. Bij betaling kan een snelle internetverbinding (draadloos of via kabel) worden aangeboden. Elke kamer heeft een flatscreen televisie met kanalen via satelliet. Elke kamer beschikt over een bureau en een telefoon met voicemail. Elke badkamer heeft een bad/douchecombinatie met een handdouche, badjassen, make-up/scheerspiegels en een föhn.
Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een koffiezetapparaat/waterkoker en pantoffels. Bovendien kun je op verzoek gebruikmaken van voorzieningen zoals een strijkplank/strijkijzer, hypoallergeen beddengoed en een telefonische wekdienst. Een turndownservice wordt elke avond aangeboden terwijl een huishoudservice dagelijks beschikbaar is. Op de kamers van Bilderberg Garden Hotel mag niet worden gerookt.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag in rekening worden gebracht.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.

Deze accommodatie neemt deel aan Milieubarometer (Green Key), een extern certificatieprogramma dat onafhankelijk is gecertificeerd. Certificatie door derden meet de impact van de accommodatie op onder andere het milieu, de gemeenschap, het cultureel erfgoed en de plaatselijke economie. De Kersentuin - Dit restaurant met panoramische ramen is bij de lokale bevolking vooral gekend voor de innovatieve, verse Mediterraanse keuken in een ontspannen sfeer. Op weekdagen kan je er lunchen en van maandag tot zaterdag kan je er ook dineren. Gesloten op zon- en feestdagen.
The Lounge - In deze bar naast de lobby kunnen gasten genieten van een kopje koffie, cocktails of kiezen uit 100 soorten whisky. Dagelijks geopend van de late ochtend tot 's avonds laat.

De Apollolaan, even ten zuiden van de museumbuurt, is een betere woonwijk. De laan bevindt zich op drie kilometer van het stadscentrum (tien minuten met de bus) en is favoriet bij zakenreizigers die het beurs- en congrescentrum RAI of het World Trade Centrum bezoeken. Er worden hier soms ook grote popconcerten en sportevenementen gehouden.

"Garden hotel Amsterdam"
is aangenaam en biedt een goede service. Zoals in ieder nederlands hotel kleven er kleine fouten aan de dienstverleneing, maar men doet er alles aan om die zo snel mogelijk te corrigeren. Parkeren is problematisch, hoewel het hotel een dagkaart regelt van de gemeente Amsterdam

"Rustige locatie in Amsterdam"
Ik had enige welness activiteiten verwacht en de tv was van slechte kwaliteit. Na een belletje naar de receptie werd dit snel verholpen. De voegen in de badkamer zijn volgens mij zeker aan vervanging toe. De Airco bleef maar warm lucht blazen, vanwege de tijd hebben de receptie niet benaderd om dit te laten fixen. De gebruikshandleiding was volgens […] duidelijk genoeg. De tapijt is volgens mij ook aan vervanging toe. Uitzicht en ruimte voor een 5 sterren Deluxe kamer voldeet niet aan onze wensen. Very clean, nice hotel. Seems to have maintained its 70's charm. The restaurant was excellent. The bar was great and served food with an actual wood burning fire place. The staff was very accommodating. The neighborhood was stunning, but it was just that, a neighborhood. Perfect for me as I was attending a conference relatively close, but might be inconvenient […] for others as it is South of the city; however, the 5 and 24 trams go right by the hotel. "5 Star Debatable but Comfortable Enough"
This hotel would never make a 5 star hotel in SE Asia but the room was large and comfortable enough. Had some issues with the Internet connection but the main beef was the excessive cost for each day's Internet access. "3rd time and not the last"
We truly love this hotel : employees are kind and friendly, city is far enough to get some quiet and yet close enough to get there quickly by foot or public transport. We've already been there 3 times now, and certainly wouldn't search for another hotel in the Neighborhood. The Bilderberg Garden Hotel is very attractive but not more than the 4 star hotels I am familiar with in Amsterdam. I only tried the Bilderberg because of their 5 stars and, frankly, I didn't see what was so outstanding. It was 10 euros to taxi into the heart of the city so if you figure 2 cabs a day times 6 days, it got a little pricey. Not enough storage space - ok for a couple of days. Long way from the city center. You must take the tram or taxis, especially when it's raining which is most days! Restaurant was closed for dinner when we stayed there and there are no restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

An excellent hotel which was rather spoiled by poor overnight airconditioning - the room was excessively hot and stuffy, and the air con which was fine through the day was not effective - opening the windows provided relief at the cost of some traffic noise. Cheaper and just as nice as the "name" hotels. Language was no problem since everybody speaks English. The service was friendly and helpful.

"Bilderberg Hotel stay March 2011"
I visited the hotel with my partner for our anniversary. The hotel was beautifully decorated and the staff upon arrival and during our stay were extremely helpful and friendly. The restaurant breakfast was good, as was the bar menu and room service food. However, we didnt sample the restaurant in the evening as we decided to eat out at Leidseplein, […] a nearby nightlife and dining area, which costs about 7-10 euros in a taxi which can be ordered from the hotel. The hotel gave us two free passes to the Holland Casino which was useful. The nearest tram stops to hotel were about a 5-10minute walk. The trams were easy to use and only took about 10minutes to get to dam square. They ran (as far as i'm aware) until very late at night which was great. Would definitely recommend the hotel to someone wanting to visit Amsterdam, however I would probably not return as next time I would rather be right in the center of one of the nightlife resorts, the city doesn't seem to be too loud in the evenings. I had a tremendous time in this hotel. We could rent bikes from the hotel which was very convenient. Only issue we had was we were given a room directly above the kitchen to the restaurant. The walls were incredibly thin and we could hear dishes being clanked up until almost 11pm at night and in the morning as well which caused us to lose some sleep. "The Bilderberg Garden Hotel Location"
Away from the action but in a beautiful neighborhood and only 2 blocks from the Tram stop. We would definitely stay there again.
"Out of the way, but *so* comfortable"
I came across the Bilderberg Garden Hotel while looking for an alternative to my company's usual choice (Ibis). The location was a little out of the way, out in the Museum District, but in Amsterdam you are never more than a 15 minute walk from anywhere. There is a tram stop nearby and we were able to buy tram tickets at the hotel and get helpful directions […] at the front desk. Parking was also very reasonable - a shock, considering what we have paid in other parts of the city. Since we were at work all day, we only paid for a few hours of parking in the evening. The room itself was very comfortable. It included a mini-bar, a spacious bathroom, robe & slippers, safe, internet access, and a lovely view of a quiet, tree-lined street. They provided an electric kettle and an assortment of coffees and teas and turn-down service with a fresh apple. My only complaint is that the restaurant was never open for dinner. One of the things that prompted me to choose this hotel was the restaurant's menu, but although the hotel seemed busy, we were told there were "not enough business travelers" to open the restaurant. The breakfast looked great, but at 22 euros, it should! We skipped that altogether. All in all, it was a pleasant change from cramped, noisy hotels in the center of the city. We loved our stay, but the hotel is not around the corner from food or a convenience store. The internet is ridiculously overpriced and slow. If you need a late night bite to eat or need cheap internet access, this is not the hotel for you. We arrived at 10 in the morning and asked if we could check in early. The receptionist was professional and polite and said that she had no standard rooms available until noon, but asked if we minded taking an executive suite. I cedrtainly did not mind! "Nice neighborhood away from tourist areas"
It's refreshing to come back to this nice clean hotel after a day of walking around and smelling the smell of the "coffee shops" in downtown Amsterdam. This hotel is located in a quiet, safe and clean neighborhood full of charming nice houses. The #5 and #24 tram lines are a short 5 min. walk from the hotel at the Apollolaan station on Beethovenstraat. […] #5 tram is what will get you into the downtown area and it's very convenient and comes often. Beethovenstraat street is also where all the shops and restaurants are - we went there often to eat and there is a grocery store (Albert Heijn), pharmacy (Etos) and a night shop there (in case you need anything late at night). The hotel is older but is very well kept. The rooms are spacious for Europe. Our few grips are 1) that the hotel restaurant is not open on Sundays for dinner, and the 24 hour room service menu is quite limited. However, the Hilton right next door does have a restaurant open on Sundays. But be prepared because both hotel restaurants are expensive. 2) Internet will run you an extra 20 Euros a day (I used Boingo and it cost $20 U.S., a little cheaper but still ridiculous) Breakfast buffet is good and plentiful as other reviewers mentioned but is quite pricey at 15 Euros a person if you book in advance. All in all though we'd definitely stay here again because it's nice to unwind back at a hotel that is away from the smell and hustle bustle of the downtown Amsterdam tourist areas. Lees meer

"Great Customer Service"
Booked this hotel at the last minute for an impromptu visit to Amsterdam. Staff are incredibly helpful and attentive. On a tram line into the city, we had no problem getting in and out of the city centre. The only thing I would say was the breakfast was overpriced.

OK hotell för en vistelse i Amsterdam, särskilt om man inte har något emot en längre promenad, fast det går bra att åka spårvagn också. Internet kostar nio €, lite småsnålt i dagens läge Amsterdam Zuid är lätt att nå
