Second time to stay when visiting relative in assisted living facility. Clean, quiet room, nothing fancy. Staff very polite. Breakfast is minimal - cereal, waffles, bagels with good coffee. Close to I-275. Right next to Hines Park, a linear greenway park with miles of paved path for biking and running.

We didn't get in till 10pm and left at 9am so it was clean and inexpenise which met our needs. Breakfast was simple but when you are traveling that is all you really need, The coffee was hot and good.

We will never stay at this hotel again. I recommend everyone steer clear of this. The saying you get what you pay for doesn't even do justice for this hotel. We checked in, went up to our room, the elevator reeked of mary jane, the hallways reeked of cigarettes (even though they apparently are a full smoke free facility). We entered our room, seemed […] okay at first until we did our regular look around. They clearly do not change the bed skirt as we found chips in between the mattress and box spring. The small fridge had hair and crumbs in it, and leaked water. The vanity in the bathroom was beyond disgusting, so we had to clean that ourselves, and the white wash cloth was brown. The toilet seat had a cigarette burn. There was hair in the bath tub. The only ice machine in the entire building is on the 3rd floor and is a pain with 1 elevator. Our backs were sore the following morning as the mattress was worn out (we couldn't help but roll into the centre of the bed). Continental breakfast is only served until 9am, so we got up early and it was nothing to get up early for. The bread was stale and there was not much of a selection on food and drinks. We do not recommend this hotel to anyone, regardless of the budget you are on. In my opinion, a bulldozer needs to put this place out of its misery. Lees meer

the room smelled like cigeratte smoke. she said i would have to wait untill 11 am and check out and then check back in to a different room she knows i would be at work at that time now i dont even want to stay there anymore because that room smelt like someone smoked in there for 2 yrs straight

The hotel room carpet was dirty and the shower head did not work properly. There were ants in my room and along the night stands and table area. The bed skirts were filthy and I don't want to even know how long it has been since the bed comforters have been washed. If I am ever in that area again I'll take my business elsewhere.

I wanted something close to the seminar I was attending and this fit the bill. Easy to find, staff very friendly. 2 drawbacks: walls were like paper - I heard everything from next door, and the tub had no stopper. Room was beautifully decorated, clean. There had to be 10 pillows on the king size bed - very nice!

Room was ok, carpet was lumpy and dirty. Shower did not work! Would not recommend for anything other than a One night quick stay.

My stay at this hotel was pretty good no complaints, no praises either. It was quiet and clean...great price! Dont try to check -in early though #allbad .

The hotel was a good value, the staff very helpful and friendly,location was good. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

I do not smoke either one and I had to complain to the office numerous times about the smell of pot and cigarettes in the halls. They ended up going door to door to find where it was coming from and put a stop to it. Funny thing is every day it reeked in the hallway. It was also loud at all hours of day and night with the talks of the neighbors sex […] and drugs. I had to turn my fan on to drowned out the noise. The rooms were nice which was the only upside it the stay. I was also told that I would be able to have an early check which they did not allow me to do upon arrival. Lees meer

I checked into the hotel with my 17 yr. old daughter is was not feeling well. Our room was nice,clean and comfortable. The room next to ours was very noisy but worse than that they were smoking in it. our room immediately smelled as though we were the smokers. Upon call the front desk I was told "we'll look into it." After 30 minutes of the noise and […] disgusting cigarette aroma, we could't take it anymore. Reluctantly(the manger)moved us to another room that provided us the rest we needed. Lees meer

When I initially saw comments about dirty floors, I thought to myself, "How bad could it be?". Well, as soon as the elevator doors opened, I immediately understood. This hotel is clearly NOT maintained and it only got worse. When I read comments about dirty sheets, I thought, "That was probably a mistake, maybe it only happened to them." Wrong again! […] The sheets had stains and when I moved the bedside table to plug in my phone charger, we found not one, not two, but THREE condoms. Do not stay here! And believe what you read, I was aptly proven wrong on several accounts. Lees meer

I have to say i was rather pleasantly surprised. Yes, I booked it for the low rate but it far exceeded what I paid. I did see all the reviews about the exceedingly nice staff and thought it could not be real but was shocked to see it was indeed true. As long as you don't expect the Four Seasons for PBR Money, this is a great choice!

Clean, good amount of TV channels, internet speeds were ok (for a hotel). Would visit again without hesitation. Oh, and the girl at the front desk was a cutie ;)

The hotel is run down and older. The staff were friendly but I wouldnt purposefully book another room here again. It was in a good location that served its purpose. It's ovious that management is trying but there is a desperate need for a remodel. Older lumpcy carpet, older furniture, clean appearance 5 out of 10 even though I know they tried. All was good except for the mold on the shower ceiling and the really dirty carpets....every thing else seemed clean. Not bad for the cost.

I booked four rooms and it was a pretty good place for the money. The hotel was pretty clean and the TV worked good in all four of our rooms. Three out of four of the rooms had lumps n the carpet and the carpet needs to be cleaned but other then that it was a good place to stay. Breakfast is cereal, waffles and bagels but it was quick and easy. I only […] had a person in the the room next door to mine one out of the six days I stayed and the walls were paper thin as I could hear every word that was said, thank God he was an early to bed type person. This hotel is more of a shelter than a comfortable place to rest for the night. The room was outdated and the carpet was lumpy! The 70's are over, but not here! I will not stay here again, even for free.

We could not use our computer because the internet would not work in our room, (#216). The staff was great at trying to get my computer up and running but we could not connect in this room.

Very clean, pretty room decor, newer and exceptionally clean. Staff very friendly. Rates were great when I stayed there, therefore I would book again.

Great price and the owners are very friendly.

I had a quick 2-night stay and found the hotel pleasant and good for the price. The staff was polite and helpful any time I had questions. They offered free breakfast (6a-9a?), but I did not get up early enough to investigate the meal. One warning: I asked for a late checkout on site and the clerk told me it was $10 per hour. I've never experienced […] a late checkout fee, so I was pretty surprised and opted not to take it. This didn't detract from the hotel or my trip on the whole, but other travelers might want to be aware. Lees meer

Strange smell in room even after they cleaned. Floor had large bumps in it. Frig kept makeing a strange noise every 15 minutes. Only stayed one nite ( supposed to be date nite for my wife and me ) wasn't comfortable. When we went down for breakfast it was already gone at 10am. So we checked out and had breakfast somewhere else.

This Hotel was especially wonderful. The staff were all welcoming and caring. One particular straff member stood out the most. Her name is Nicki. She is the SWEETEST employee there. She baked chocolate cookies and checked on my friend and I often (not in a freaky way though). It was so affordable and the surrouinding area felt like home. Very quiet […] and very cosy. This hotel works in a pinch but is not very "nice". The elevator stopped on us while we were going to the 3rd floor and the elevator alarm went off on us quite a few times while taking it up. Hotel staff is friendly and smiles but also when you are trying to tell them of there issues. The floor in our room had many "lumps" under the carpet and the tub […] did not drain... Lees meer

The hotel was conveniently located near what I needed and was at a reasonable rate. My room was very clean and comfortable.

Never empty trash and putting towels back in the room was always short. One day there were no coffee. the room was very dirty. I wouldn't stay there again,

We stayed there to help with the cost of our trip, we were attending an event in downtown Detriot and didn't want to spend more then necessary. This was a great hotel for what we where looking for. It was definately showing it's age and if you are looking for a pristine shower this is not the hotel for you. It was totally do-able though for a short […] stay. Lees meer

I was expecting something in poor shape or in a bad location, but was pleasantly surprised by the clean and up-to-date rooms. Wireless internet access worked perfectly. I'll stay there again when I'm in town.

Just needed a place to stay for cheap. It had beds so it was perfect!

I'm not here to judge. Well, actually, since it's a review, I am here to judge, so I will. I Always find it strange when people live in hotels unless they are super rich or I'm watching the movie Dunston Checks In, and this hotel had more than it's fair share of permanent residents. They were a mess. They took up the entire lobby and "dining" area […] in the morning, they bogarted the extremely slow moving elevator, and they single-handedly ate the entire continental breakfast save 1 blueberry and 1 banana package of disgustingly dry muffins. All of that being said, the room itself was quite a surprise. Microwave, mini-fridge, an excellent selection of cable channels, and the list goes on. I was impressed by these amenities because we did not pay very much for the room and I've come to expect a certain level of "dumpiness" with a hotel in this price range. One complaint I do have about the room would be the complete disregard for the entire hotel being non-smoking, but every inch of drywall smelled like it was smoked on 4 minutes before we arrived. I eluded to the elevator issues previously and they should not be glossed over. It works 38% of the time. Often, we were required to take the stairs, but you can only take the stairs down, so you're frequently made to wait in the lobby for an elevator that may or may not come within 5 minutes. My advice, hit the button as soon as you're about to check in, and by the time you're ready to go up, it should be making it's way down to you. Would I stay here again? The answer is absolutely yes, but only if I were planning on getting hammered and trashing a hotel room, which is why we stayed here in the first place. Side note: The bar next door, "Herc's", wasn't terrible. Much better than expected. I'd go back there before I'd stay in the hotel again. Lees meer

A friend and I stayed at Days Inn Livonia for two days while visiting Detroit. Location was conveniently close to Detroit by car. Neighborhood was safe and quiet. Restaurants nearby. Parking was adequate. Staff extremely professional and helpful with advice. Room was clean. Bed very comfortable. Linens clean. Coffee/teamaker in room. Only annoyance […] was only one channel available and satellite which was PBS. All of the other channels showed a "low satellite signal" statement. We didn't really mention it to staff because we were in the room very little. I'm sure they would have addressed the situation. Continental breakfast was adequate and is what we usually expect. Bagels, Muffins, Danish, cereal, juice. Good enough to start the day. I would definitely stay again Lees meer

it was really close to the place i needed to take an exam at, which was great!!! the alarm clock wouldn't work though which made me really nervous the manager tried to fix it but it still didn't work. thank god the wake up call did!! i made my husband call me just in case. the carpet has probably seen better days but for the price it was a good deal. […] they even serve breakfast, nothing spectaculer but it did the job. the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. if i needed to stay in that area again, i'd stay there. I stayed at this hotel with a group booking of 26 rooms. The hotel is not organized as reservation settling takes time. The rooms are clean at least most of them, however one room we had was full of beer cans after being cleaned. For the room I stayed in with my family; the second night after returning at midnight, we found a mouse trap with a live […] baby mouse in it. The front desk person did not want to resolve it initially as he offered me a bag and box to remove the mouse. I informed him that I would not and returned to my room. Upon returning to my room, the front desk was calling on the phone, and he then offered to switch us to another room - which was double in size because it was handicapped equipped. This room was nice and clean and washroom was huge. The air conditioning in the hotel is not the best, however for the price it is the cheapest in the area. There is free internet through a computer in the lobby and via wifi and yes...the wifi does work on a laptop or phone unlike most hotels that cost much more. It is conveniently located down the road from excellent restaurants, walmart, auto parts stores, etc. It is also right off the highway. This hotel owns Sunrise Hotel next door which is less than desirable and guests from there frequently come to the Days Inn for amenities. The assistant manager there is very nice and hospitable and always talks to all of the people coming and going. Lees meer
