Hotel Veneto Palace in Rome

Een prima hotel op een goede locatie nabij het centrum van Rome.Wel is het hotel redelijk gehorig. De badkamer was netjes en verzorgd, maar er zat een primitieve douchedeur (goedkope vouwdeur) in, die niet in een viersterrenhotel past. Ontbijt was prima en personeel was vriendelijk. We zijn ingegaan op een voordelige aanbieding, doch men vertelde ons er niet bij dat de kamer op het 6de verdieping was zonder zicht naar buiten. Twee veluxen boden een zicht op de sterrenhemel, doch we hadden liever de omgeving gezien. De info die de dame aan de balie gaf over prijzen naar de luchthaven klopte helemaal niet. Je kan wél een taxi boeken […] mét een vast afgesproken prijs, véél goedkoper dan de eigen hotelshuttle die ze zelf voorstelden. The hotel was nice and the staff friendly. The breakfast was average at best, no eggs included in the package. Both my parents who stayed in a hotel down the street and us were charged a three euro fee per guest per day by the hotel paid in cash. We had a great time

We found the Hotel Veneto Palace to be very conveniently located and close to the Metro so we could get anywhere quickly. Located amongst some of the best restaurants in Rome - the food was unbelivable! Not the Ritz but a very comfortable and clean place to stay with very helpful and cordial staff.

Breakfast is GREAT. This hotel is fairly well located with a 10-15 minute walk to either the Piazza Spagna or Piazza Barbarini areas & metro stops. The room smelled "musty" but if AC was left on the smell went away. The beds left much to be desired as far as comfort was concerned and the decor was definitely dated. We stayed for just one night, however found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Gianni was working the front desk and was very pleasant and helpful. The rooms were very nicely done. Typical size for a Rome hotel room, which is comparatively small, but surprisingly elegant. We had an interior room, so no view at all. The value for money was excellent. […] We did not eat in the hotel so no comments about that. The internet is about average cost, 20EUR per day, but I recommend purchasing the 3 hour access card for 10EUR. The daily rate expires everyday at midnight, so if you check-in in the afternoon it resets again at midnight. But if you buy the 3 hour card, the unused time carries over. It is wireless and can be used to connect iPhone to avoid nasty data roaming charges. Lees meer

20 min walk to metro. We loved the hotel. Old world opulence decor. Charming. Could walk to lots of good restaurants. Safe & quiet. Would stay again. Good value

Stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed every moment, hotels location is ideal for all the tourist attractions all but Vatican in easy walking distance. Hotel staff Extremly helpful with all enquiries we had and allowed us to check in early, would recommend to any and everyone. GREAT HOTEL!

If you cannot surf the web as you wish then all the other facilities are just a redundant offer. Any other comment is not necessary basically. The staff was nice and helpful, but I do not need a sauna nor a gym for a stay then when u have such stupid hotel policy? Another minus the 15 € breakfast which was a not very good value for money. For the money, it was a very nice hotel in a very nice area. The staff was great - they checked us in early and upgraded us to a nicer room, and then when we had to leave early in the morning to catch a flight, they packed a breakfast for us. Really nice views from the rooftop where they serve breakfast.. Only complaint was that the pillows were a bit […] hard, so that impacted the comfort of a very nicely decorated room. Lees meer

Overall good, but bathroom was very small and without bidet which was quoted in hotel advertisement. Also no desk or sofa in room as quoted in advert. Breakfast good and staff very professional. Overall we enjoyed stay in hotel and visiting some of our old haunts. Plenty of good and cheap places to eat in local area but hotel bar is exceedingly expensive. […] Sauna is only available "to order" and costs Euro 25 per person. But to put things into perspective, very comfortable for our short stay and would recommend it to friends as good value for money. Lees meer

Hotel was clean, rooms tiny, bed hard. All of this was expected for Rome, however the rudeness of the staff was unforgivable. For this reason alone, I cannot recommend this hotel.

Location was great in a nice, quiet neighborhood that isn't too far from the main attractions in central Rome. Service, however left a lot to be desired. When checking in they tried to switch us to another room in an entirely separate/private building with absolutely no security. The jacuzzi-style bath tub in the room was filthy and completely clogged. […] Took several calls to get them to fix it. Wall paper was stained in the room, too. Lees meer

Although the hotel room was small, it was comfortable for my needs. The room has 2 twin beds and the decoration was lovely. The tub looked amazing, but to turn on the jets meant you were spraying water all over the bathroom. The morning breakfast was lacking in quality, but I am not a breakfast person anyway. There were three couples in our group and we were extremely happy with the service, the room, and the location. The staff was professional, and always willing and able to help and offer reccommendations when asked. Special thanks to Valario!!

The hotel was going thru renovations so we were given a room which was upgraded beautifully. The only problem was to get to the room, you had to go outside of the main hotel, enter into the building next door, take an old cage elevator to the 7th floor, walk down to the 6th floor, swipe your key to get into the hallway before you come to a set of rooms. […] We also had problems with our keycard so we had to be let in by the bellhop whenever we returned to the hotel. Once we were in our room, the view of Rome from our balcony was breathtaking, and the room itself with very large, clean bed, and huge bathroom complete with jacuzzi was a very relaxing getaway. I look forward to the renovations being complete so it wouldn't be such a hassle to get to your room. I would definitely stay here again in the future. Lees meer

There was nothing specifically wrong with this hotel but everything was pretty underwhelming. The price was higher than what it was worth for sure but it is somewhat cheap so if price is your only concern I might choose it. The internet costs 20 Euro for the night and nothing is really for free. The A/C leaked and they did not come to fix it or help […] really in any way. The bed was not particularly comfortable and I feel like I gotten bitten by something during the night. They were nice enough to hold my suitcase for the day while I was waiting to check in for another hotel room which I will say was pretty key and very helpful. Lees meer

Clean and comfortable. Large assortment of breakfast items, including cappuccino upon request. 12-13min walk to the Metro (Barberini) - which is the red line to get you to alot of tourist hotspots. 10min walk to Spanish Steps. We have stayed here 4 times before and I have recommended the hotel to friends. This time there were 3 of us (all female) traveling together and requsted a room for 3 people. They put us in their 'sister' hotel next door. The room was large enough and comfortable enough, but the bathroom door didn't work! It was a pocket door and wouldn't close. When […] we complained to the front desk, they said that it had been broken before we checked in, and that it wouldn't be fixed until after we left. They refused to move us to another room. It was very uncomfortable and quite akward to arrange for bathroom privileges. The front desk was quite unconcerned and didn't seem to care at all. We had one of the new rooms so it was larger and had a newer bathroom than all of our friends. Internet was too expensive.

Lovely hotel, very central, clean rooms and great breakfast. Very reasonably priced - will definately return.

Hotel Veneto was a great experience for us on our honeymoon. It was definitely the nicest hotel on our Italian excursion! The rooms were somewhat larger than others we had been in throughout Italy (though still small compared to the US -- get used to it!). The location was nice... it was about a 5 minute walk to the spanish steps. We didn't have the […] best weather, but still walked everywhere (though one night we did grab a cab home.... and it was pretty cheap!) Ask about the workout facility... they'll take you to it downstairs -- VERY nice and NO ONE uses it! Also, they gave us a day of free internet (didn't tell us it was free until afterwards). Great option in Rome... especially for how much cheaper it is than those that are 5 minutes closer! Lees meer

This was my first trip to Italy and staying at the Hotel Veneto really helped to make the trip all that more enjoyable. The staff was excellent and the hotel was great-we were able to check in early and also switch rooms without a problem halfway through our stay. The continental breakfast is a little different than that of the U.S. but still very good […] and much easier than having to find breakfast somewhere else every day. The area surrounding the hotel was also very nice and we found several good places to eat dinner nearby. I would definitely recommend this hotel for future travelers to Rome! Lees meer

Hotel Veneto was a very nice clean hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is a little out of the way. It takes a little longer than 15 minutes to get to Trevi fountain and spanish steps. It is really close to Villa Borghese which was a very nice park. You should take the metro or a bus if trying to go to the collesium. I would suggest […] not to take the metro from the train station when checking into the hotel..from the metro the hotel is uphill and it is not fun carrying suitcases up those hills. The hotel was very nice and clean. We only had a few problems with our air conditioning but once we called the front desk, they would fix the problem immediately. The rooms are smaller than they look but they are still nice rooms. The terrace upstairs is enclosed so don't expect to sit in the open air to look over the city. There are nice bars around the hotel to grab a cappuccino and brioche in the morning. I would recommend this hotel again. Lees meer

Opholdet var udemærket. Værelset var ikke særligt stort, men det var ikke noget problem i forhold til vores behov. Fin morgenmads restaurant på øverste etage. Herfra var der flot udsigt ud over byen. De er flinke i receptionen og var behjælplige, når vi havde nogen spørgsmål eller ønsker. Det eneste der gik galt for dem, var da vi skulle køre i taxa […] til lufthavnen. Vi havde om formiddagen tjekket ud og udleveret vores bagage til opbevaring, idet vi skulle udnytte den sidste dag i byen. Da vi skulle have vores bagage udleveret igen, kunne de ikke finde den. Der var tydelige forvirring i receptionen, men vi kunne kun se på, at alle ledte i hjørnerne. Men vores kuffert mv. blev fundet ca. 10 min før taxaen kom. Det var lidt for spændende for os. Men som helhed, er vi tilfredse med opholdet. Alle er flinke og ellers hjælpsomme. Hotellet ligger i et ambassade kvarter med masser af politi på gaden - så vi var på intet tidspunkt utrykke. Turistbusen har et stopsted kun ca. 10 min. gang fra hotellet, så det var perfekt for os. Lige nord for hotellet lå en større park, hvor man kunne smide sig på græsset efter en lang da i byen. O hotel é limpo, agradável,mas a loclização é péssima. Dificil de encontrar e o lugar feio, se estiver de carro tudo bem, caso contrário não vá!!!
