Monopol Hotel in Düsseldorf

In een woord, "geweldig" Let wel, prijs / kwaliteit even in de gaten houden! Het is geen 5* hotel maar ben van mening dat je zeer zeker niet mag mopperen voor dit geld. De kamers ruiken een beetje muf, maar de ramen zijn dusdanig groot van afmeting dat dit snel verholpen is. En het ontbijtje...... als je hier iets tekort komt dan weet ik het niet meer […] :-) erg uitgebreid mag ik wel zeggen. Taxi kost nog geen 6 euro naar die Altstadt, lopen is overigens ook maar 10 minuten. Met vriendelijke groet, Jan Lees meer

Goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Het hotel heeft een wat verouderde aankleding, maar het is netjes schoon, goede bedden en een goed ontbijt. Problemen worden snel en vriendelijk opgelost. Op 10 minuten loop afstand van de "altstadt" is het prima vertoeven.

De kamers waren te klein, het bed was helemaal doorgezakt en er mocht gerookt worden op de kamers. Al met al geen prettig hotel. Ligging was wel goed!

Het hotel ligt perfect in Dusseldorf, Personeel heel vriendelijk ontbijt is echt top en heeft een leuke trendy uitstraling.hHet enige minpunt was de iets te kleine kamer.

Zeer goed hotel niks op aan te merken Vers brood miste ik wel bij het ontbijt , er waren enkel 1 soort broodjes en verpakt brood per sneetje( van dat zuur brood )

Goed hotel in tamelijk rustige buurt, toch centraal gelegen. Ontbijt goed, behalve de bijzonder slechte thee en koffie!

Het ontbijtbuffet vond ik teleurstellend. Koude thee droog brood muf knackerbrot overrijp fruit te weinig bediening. Jammer, dit lijken mij toch items die standaard gewoon in orde dienen te zijn.

Op doorreis naar Frankfurter Messe hebben we een tussenstop gemaakt in Düsseldorf. Prijs- kwaliteit verhouding van het hotel is erg goed. Ontbijt was incl. in de prijs; o.h.a. is dit excl. Inrichting gedateerd maar wel gerenoveerd. Badkamer had iets schoner gekund. Even douche gordijn checken als je er bent. Rustige kamer, goed geslapen. Prima locatie om de binnenstad te bezoeken, goed te lopen en hoewel weinig eigen parkeerplaatsen ( 4) twee parkeergarages in de onmiddellijke nabijheid. De etalage/gevel is ingericht door een kunstenaar en doet daardoor koud en ongezellig aan, jammer en niet representatief voor de warmte en netheid van het personeel. This hotel is in a great location with the train down the street and straight to the Fair location so excellent from that point of view. But I found the bedrooms depressing small and very dowdy. Every floor has a flight of stairs outside the lift so you have to take all your luggage up or down a set of stairs to get to your room if you are at a trade […] show you probably have heavy bags and that is hard work every day lifting your bags up and down the stairs. The size of the bedroom reminds me of my dormitory in my school. It is small. The cleanliness is overall fine. The best part is the location. It is only 2 blocks from the underground (U Bahn). It is so convenience that you can try ALT beer and Schweinshaxe within a block away from the famous Schumacker (hope I spell correctly)! Definitely I will stay […] there again:-) Cheers, Lilly V. We were there over Carnivale, a particularly busy time, and found the staff quite helpful. Never made it up for the breakfast but the lads said that it was good. Location was very good too, about 10 minutes walk from the old town

The hotel is well managed and is in its class a good place to stay. Personnel is very gentle and always ready to help. The city centre, all shopping areas and the Altstadt are in walking distance. Restaurants of all kinds are in the neighbourhood.

Rooms are much smaller than the impression we got from pictures. But it is in the city and just 2 blocks to the U-Bahn with which you can reach the old town within 2 stops. And it is very near to the city's oldest Beer House. Besides, staff is very kind and helpful.

Hotel Monopol is located between the main railway station and the shopping district and old town of Dusseldorf. Still a reasonable walk from both. Room was tiny but clean. Breakfast was good. For the price appeared to be a good choice, but we visited in winter so prices might reflect that it was low season.

Positive: 1- Good Location 2- Helpful & friendly staff 3- Good brekfast buffet Negative: - Old Furniture, could do with some renovation - unreliable internet connection

Very friendly personnel, lovely breakfast, rooms are clean and small, but for a business trip more than adequate. Contrary to what I read in other reviews, their complimentary Internet service worked in my room.

We enjoyed our stay at this Hotel. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good but more dark, wholesome bread was needed! Koenigsallee was not too far away which was very interesting for my wife. Overall happy, but the rooms could be cleaner. May even return at a later day and could recommend it to other travelers.

The staff was friendly. The only issue I had was that the wifi was not working in my room, so I had to go to the lobby to use the internet...

Great staff, great breakfast,great service. Can do with a bit of a re-furb, but for the cost its absolutly perfect. Well worth the stay.

The Hotel was in a great location and very easy going the breakfast was great. All round it was very comfortable and enjoyable to stay here. If you twisted my arm i'd have to say the rooms were a bit on the small side, but the bed was very comfortable and it was very clean, so this made up for the small room size in spades! It's not quite close to the Altstadt, but it's certainly walkable. There's not very much in the way of restaurants or bars near the hotel, so you're better off finding someplace closer to Old Town. The neighborhood is even a bit sketchy after dark. The staff at the hotel was great and the room was as expected for a European hotel.

This is a European hotel, so I expected less than I would get in most U.S. hotels and I got less than I expected. First, the photos on Hotels.com must be old, because the decor of the hotel now is completely different... funky... weird... tacky. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.. that was the best part of the stay. Room was European small […] but adequate. Furnishings were cheap but in decent shape. The advertised wireless internet was intermittent. At times I could not even get connected. Tiny bath was old and there were black stains on the tile grout in the shower. Location was great... right near the U-bahn and just a few doors away from Brauerei Schumacher...great German food and Alt bier. Even though I was there during a huge trade fair and ridiculous hotel rates are the norm, I did not feel I got good value. I would not stay there again. Lees meer

The hotel was very close to Schumacher Brewery and a short U-bahn ride, or walk to Altstadt. It is also a very quick walk from the Hauptbahnhof, so getting around to see other places or getting to the train is easy. The breakfast was nice and the service was very friendly. For the price it was good but the hotel needs air conditioning during the summer bed are nearly on the way out and need replacement. Parking is limited they only have 4 car spaces the charge is cheaper than the local car park.

Small but clean room, Very good breakfast.

I was traveling alone on business, and did not need a large room. Fortunately, because this was one of the smallest rooms I've ever seen! However, it was very comfortable and a great price. there was no air conditioning in my room but they provided a fan. Room was too small. There is no desk to work with Laptop. Wireless connection was available but password lasts 12 hours only, so I have to get a new password on the folloing day. It was so humid day but air conditioning was not available as per normal old german hotels. A small fan was equipped but the outlet is limited when I was working with Laptop, […] I have no way to use the fan. Rommet var lite og trangt. Hyggelig betjening, god frokost og service. Internett virket ikke og terasse var ikke tilgjengelig.Sentralt beliggende og gangavstand til Altstadt.

数少ない朝食付きホテルとして貴重な存在だった。 市の中心部で地下鉄の駅に近く利便性は最高。 ホテルのスタッフもフレンドリー。

Grei hotell. Dårlig nettverk på rommene, men det funker. Fikk sovesofa som seng første natt, fikk byttet til gjesteseng dagen etter. Minibaren var i ustand, luktet. De ansatte på hotellet fikk beskjed om dette, men ingen ting ble gjort. Grei pris, bra beliggenhet er et pluss.

Ligger rätt centralt. Trevlig personal och bra service. Städningen kunde vara bättre.

チェックインしようとしたところ、使える部屋が無いのとのことで別のホテルに行かされた。そのホテルまではタクシーで5分かかり、交通の便が悪いうえ、周りには警察しか無いような寂れた場所だった。 故に、このホテルは推薦することができない。

Leider ist dieses Hotel schon etwas verwohnt und hätte dringend einige Renovierungsmaßnahmen nötig. Der Teppich z.B. ist nicht mehr im tadellosem Zustand. Das Badezimmer des Einzelzimmers war winzig. Noch größere Personen würden da ein echtes Problem haben. Selbst ich bin rückwärts rein zur Toilette. Für ein paar Tage kann man diesen Umstand aber ertragen. […] Dafür ist die Lage sehr gut und das Hotel hat echt einen sehr freundlichen und zuvorkommenen Service. Забронировали отель на неделю по акции, так что 2 последние ночи вышли бесплатно. За эти деньги отелем мы остались очень довольны. Находится всего в 7 минутах ходьбы от вокзала. Нормальный чистый номер. Завтрак порадовал разнообразием и продолжительностью (6.30-11.00). Вкусно и большой выбор. Интернет в номере не ловил, только в лобби, но скорость  […] хорошая. Lees meer

Bra läge på hotellet! Gångavstånd till huvudbangården och till Köningsalle och altstadt. Mycket trevlig personal på hotellet.

Hyvä hotelli erinomaisella paikalla. Kaikki kävelyetäisyydellä, mutta julkisilla kulkuneuvoilla pääsee kaikkialle kaupunkia läheltä hotellia kulkevilla busseilla ja raitiovaunuilla. Kävelymatka rautatieasemalle alle 10 min. Aivan hotellin vieressä saksalainen oluttupa, josta saa myös hyvää ruokaa kohtuuhinnalla. Edullist huonehinnat.
