Viceroy Palm Springs in Palm Springs

We have stayed here and at other Viceroy properties before. Weekend at the PS location was amazing, however, there was a general lack of cleanliness and attention at the pools. Also feels like the rooms are slightly worse for the wear considering the price paid per night.

Nice hotel, room wasn't quite as nice as I thought it would be based on the pictures. Hotel service was very good. Location very good. I was charged for a resort fee that I didn't realize I would have to pay, so that was disappointing.

The hotel looks much nicer online than in person. Definitely a four star hotel comparing to other four star hotels like Riviera. We had a double queen bed room and the room was all right. Its far from special and remodeled on the cheeper end. First room they gave us smelled like chlorine and bleach and was on the lower level with very little light. […] After requesting a different room we were moved to the second story room and that was much better. I have been to the Viceroy many years ago. I enjoyed my trip the first time so was happy to return. I found the same great decor, layout (with separate pools) and service (everyone who helped us was great). My only complaint is that the hotel is a bit worn. Still beautiful, just not shiny and new.

First, the hotel is almost impossible to find due to poor signage and a large hedge which is wonderful for privacy but terrible for finding the place. Second, our room, which was large and lovely, was pool facing and also right off the outdoor restaurant/bar which meant loud music and talking until about midnight. Also, the sounds from the room upstairs […] were loud and audible until after midnight. Finally, upon departure we were advised that we would be charged an extra $30/night as a "resort" fee. We were not aware of this and really found this quite offensive. The location is good as it's walking distance to shops and restaurants. If I was to stay there again I would definitely ask for a room away from the main pool and restaurant area and I would clarify the "resort" fee prior to booking. Lees meer

Rooms need to be updated & kept up, daily resort charge & ad distal $150 per day charge not cool, hotel was empty an offer to upgrade might have helped

Ive been here a few times in the past 5 years, and this time will be my last. The service was horrible, resort fee is expensive, and the room was loud and extremely small. You could hear everything in te surrounding rooms and rooms above, and the heater and fridge were very loud. The bathroom is extremely small and doesn't have a tub. It was a great hotel to stay at. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The interiors are beautifully designed. The grounds are pretty and made it a very relaxing atomoshere to be in.

What an excellent experience. From the first contact with the check in desk until I left, the staff was incredible. My room was funky and chic. The pools are great. The property looks fabulous at night. Overall, a wonderful experience.

I was completely impressed with friendlyness of the staff and how accommodating they were throughout my stay. They were very knowledgable as well about their own property as well what to do in the surrounding down town area. The room was beautifully furnished with a comfortable bed, but on entering it smelled stale. We had a very restless night because of the noisy fridge and air conditioning. At about two thirty in the morning we were further disturbed by a trolley being pushed around outside. We were then upset to discover we had to pay an extra 35 dollars for the valet […] service which we didn't require and a coffee service we did not use. I loved everything about this hotel. The service was impeccable. Because it's small you really get that personalized special treatment right down to the valet service. The restaurant outdoor dining next to the pool is fabulous and our room First Class all the way. I will definitely be back.

Although it is an older property it is really a pleasant place to stay and the staff and overall experience is great. Very old Palm Spribgs in the best way. The property has great character and their team has a real sense of what service is. Great place to stay would visit again.

It was our first time here. It was really nice. I felt super old Hollywood in my villa. The pool staff would be the only thing that kept the hotel from getting a 5 out of 5 from me. All of the other staff were amazing! I asked for towels and the guy told me , "it will be a while" and then never even came. Definitely not up to the standard of every other […] staff member I encountered there. I ate dinner there twice and it was delicious! This hotel should not be a 4 star. Read the fine print: the list price does not include the hotel fee. There is complimentary coffee, but you pay extra for breakfast. Parking is on the street, or valet if you can find a valet attendant. This looks like a set of cheap apartments turned into a hotel. 3 stars would be gratuitous.

the viceroy delivered on my expectations, though i did not have too high expectations based on previous reviews. it's in a great location and the hotel is very quaint with the central common areas being very compact. I was expecting more of a pool view since the room i booked was suppose to have one, however the big hedges blocked the view altogether. […] the grounds were well-maintained and the environment was calm. it's an older property with a fresh design. although children are only allowed in the family pool, i think it is their nicest. the staff were friendly and accommodating as well. i would stay again. food from citron is a bit over-priced - but that was expected. If a (very large) resort fee is mandatory, then why is it not included in the "room, tax and fees" when you arrange and pay for the hotel at booking? There's no satisfactory answer to that question.

Hotel is lovely but overrated. The food was good but nothing amazing. Great for couples and a younger crowd. Very small and premium rooms were particularly overrated.

WE WERE GREETED WITH WARMTH AND COURTIOUSEY.WE WERE MADE TO FEEL WELCOME ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE OF OUR STAY.THE HOTELS MAIN FOCUS WAS DEFINITLY ON MAKING US FEEL IMPORTANT.
