Days Inn Irving Grapevine DFW Airport North in Irving

We stayed here overnight on a last minute trip. Disappointed is an understatement. First off, we booked and paid for the room online but were asked for a credit card for "incidentals" which they then did an imprint on a piece of paper. Seriously, who does imprints anymore? And when I asked what would be done with the imprint the clerk acted irritated […] at my concern. The whole place needs a facelift. The carpet in our room looked dirty, the ironing board was stained and ripped. The bathroom was not clean. The tub looked like it needed a good scubbing,the tile floor was sticky and the grout was filthy. The tub faucet was so hard to turn on, my husband said he was afraid he was going to rip it off the wall, not to mention the water kept changing from hot to cold. The mattress was extremely saggy and uncomfortable. We were so uncomfortable about the cleanliness of the room we chose not to eat the free breakfast. We will NEVER stay here again!!! After a 50 minute wait for airport pickup driver came by and said he could only take two people so let elderly couple go a head, continued waiting another 15 minutes shuttle finally showed. Proceeded to drive around airport stopping at other terminals for another 20 minutes. Finally got checked in to room 2 hrs later.

Check in was the first sign in early afternoon no one at desk, waited 15 minutes to see some one return. Visit was for one week and adding a second. gave the Hotel the benefit of doubt when arrived to room and found dirty towels, followed by dirty towels given at desk. By experience and extra safety I tied twist ties to zippers of luggage. To return […] and find they had been gone through, as well room not clean. Top of days later found sheets where not clean, as well a drunk trying to break into my room. Staff at times where kind some where extremely rude, including the manager who found it OK to awake me at 7:00am with repetitive knocks and even tried to enter my room while I was a sleep with out warning of his attempt to enter. Overnight stay. Staff was very accomadating to our family's needs. Clean well stocked rooms. No complaints.

Room was clean, however we did get a call in our room from someone representing the hotel trying to scan our credit card and that was very uncomfortable. Continental breakfast is very very basic, cereal was stale. But bed was actually comfortable and you couldn't beat the price.

I really wanted to like this property. It was reasonably close to my destination where I was training for 3 days and the price was extremely reasonable. Access to the freeway was great and the neighborhood, while stark and industrial, felt safe. The facilities were nice and felt like they were pretty new or recently renovated. The room was a little […] stark but clean and functional - I really appreciated the fact that a refrigerator and microwave were included, plus a 'real' coffee-maker (one where you could actually make your own coffee from the store if you wanted, not those little 'pucks' of coffee). So all that was a real plus. Two elevators were handy for getting to the upper floors and are not necessarily normal for this type of hotel (outside room access). The bed was reasonably comfortable although the pillows lacked something to be desired - they were like bags of shredded upholstery foam, not like real pillows. But that really didn't bother me. The issue was with the shower temperature, which fluctuated wildly from hot to cold. I reported it and it was supposedly "fixed" but really wasn't. I suspect the ultra low-flow shower heads are causing the issue - it's like being peed on by a puppy. I guess I'll have to go back to the shabbier but comfortable Red Roof Inn down the street. I had a very early morning flight out of DFW airport, so I looked for a place to stay nearby. What a great find! The hotel was very clean and comfortable, and is just a few blocks from a major airport parking facility. The Days Inn is a great choice.

Rooms enter right to the outside so not usually my favorite but the room I had had a sitting room, small (tiny) kitchen with table and chairs and queen bed. Water was hot and pressure was fine. Work-out room was pretty pathetic but the treadmill worked so at least I got a workout in. Breakfast was thin...hard boiled eggs, sweet pastries, and only coffee […] as far as I could see (but the coffee was good). Very near 114, positives: attentive staff, clean rooms, close to highway, quiet, comfy bed, microwave & fridge so I could eat in, and relative cheap. I would definitely stay there again. Lees meer

The afternoon/evening front desk clerks of this hotel need to take a course on how to provide quality customer service. Their negative attitude was quite evident when I asked for assistance as if though they did not want to be bothered. Further, the room was very small and the towels had dirt stains on them. Room was small and felt cramped, despite being on the 3rd floor with "vaulted" ceilings. Bathroom washcloth looked like it was dirty. Parking lot was not well-lit, and was pretty scary arriving at night. Was woken in the middle of the night by people yelling in the parking lot. The hotel itself was nice enough but we waited an hour and 45 minutes fro the promised shuttle at the airport. The next morning breakfast began at 6 am even though there was a lobby full of people waiting for the 6 am shuttle, no accomodation was made to provide any food to us. The shuttle driver expected us to know the layout of DFW so we could tell […] him where we needed to go - telling him the airline was not enough. The hotel and grounds were beautiful. The hot breakfast was very good and there was an exceptional woman who over saw the breakfast area. She was a big help to me and my family. There was also a great pool area. We didn't use it but it would be great for kids. The only downside was that the room was way to small for 3 adults. The bathroom was very small […] as well. The bed sheets and towels, were dirty as if they were not changed from prior customer. I have stayed in other Days Inn and the experience has been good as far as quality is concerned.

We flew in & called for shuttle pick up. We waited maybe 10 min. We were only there for one night lay over. The room was small but perfect. The staff was excellent. Denny's was walking distance. We slept great. The bed was so comfy. We had a hard time getting up!

Front desk clerks were not friendly and made us wait to check in while they made outgoing phone calls. Didn't even acknowledge us while on the phone or even say I'll be right with you. No customer service courtesy whatsoever!!!A

Nicest hotel in the area? No. Would I stay here again for the price? Yes. An older property that has seen better days, the exterior is shabby but the rooms are surprisingly nice. I would recommend this hotel. It is close to the airport (which we wanted). The rates are the best in town. The room we got was VERY small, but for that price who can complain? The staff is friendly and everything was clean.

The room was not really the nicest, it smelled funny as well. I would have rated this a 1 star hotel. the outside of the building made it look like a 3-star. Dont plan on eating breakfast there, its mediocre at best.

Fast easy check in and free shuttle service from DFW airport. This was a far better deal than paying the exorbitant costs of a taxi from the airport. Our room was clean, amenities and flat screen tv were provided. We did have the free breakfast which was great for the value. If I had to come up with a fault it would be the lack of anything within walking […] distance for entertainment, but this seems to be par for Dallas.
