Ik heb 4 nachten in dit hotel geboekt in een 2-pk samen met mijn zoon. Wij waren zeer tevreden, de prijs-kwaliteit verhouding van dit hotel is zeer goed. Onze late aankomst was geen probleem, de kamer was netjes en voor New Yorkse begrippen vrij ruim. De directe omgeving is wat rommelig maar veilig en ligt ideaal t.o.v. Times Square, ca.15-20 minuten met de metro. Ook het ontbijt viel ons erg mee met elke ochtend prima koffie, donuts, ei en worstjes. Houd wel rekening met wat lawaai van auto's en de metro, maar wij hebben toch prima kunnen slapen. Op de dag van ons vertrek was het geen probleem om de koffers achter de balie te zetten.

Nieuw, proper, fantastisch centraal gelegen hotel. Kamers niet al te groot maar heel praktisch ingericht, genoeg berguimte, microgolf, koffiezet en koelkast aanwezig. (wij hadden een superior room) Wij hadden een kamer aan de voorzijde (5de verdieping) , ik heb oordoppen moeten kopen om te kunnen slapen, mijn dochter sliep als een roos door alle lawaai heen. Maar het is New York, dus helemaal stil kan het nooit zijn. Ik zou bij een volgend verblijf toch een kamer aan de achterkant vragen, je bent in New York toch maar op je kamer om te slapen; als je zicht wil ga je Rockefeller naar boven... In de buurt voldoende eetgelegenheden, ontbijt kan meegenomen worden op de kamer. Geen restaurant in het hotel, maar je kan even verderop in de straat bij het zusterhotel gaan eten, deden we eenmaal 's middags en konden zalig in het zonnetje eten, was wel in orde. (opgelet na 14 u zit de zon achter de hoge gebouwen) Ze werken ook samen met een aantal restaurants die leveren in het hotel, wij bestelden eenmaal sushi ; is geen aanrader. Enig minpunt van belang vond ik het satijnen/zijden donsovertrek. Dit gleed constant van het bed af. Het was ook een heel breed maar iets korter bed. Ik ben 1.73 m en lag bijna met de voeten uit bed, ik denk dat dit voor heel lange mensen van belang kan zijn. Voor de rest een prima, super gelegen hotel met heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel, tegen een aanvaardbare prijs.

Het enige minpuntje van het hotel was dat de metro onder het hotel loopt en dit is in de kamer (ik had kamer 309 op de 3de etage) duidelijk merkbaar (hoorbaar en voelbaar), wellicht dat dit in een andere kamer op een hogere etage minder is.

Ligging.
Doral Arrowwood ligt heel handig vlak bij de luchthaven in Rye Brook, dicht bij Donald M Kendall Sculpture Gardens, Neuberger Museum of Art en Manhattanville College. Bezienswaardigheden in de omgeving zijn onder andere Silver Lake Park en The Westchester Mall.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Doral Arrowwood heeft een golfbaan, een healthclub en een buitenzwembad. In openbare ruimtes wordt een gratis snelle internetverbinding (draadloos en via kabel) aangeboden. Dit hotel met 4 sterren beschikt over zakelijke voorzieningen waaronder een businesscentrum, vergaderruimtes voor kleine groepen en vergaderruimtes. Dit hotel voor golfers heeft een restaurant, een bar/lounge en een snackbar/broodjeszaak. Het personeel kan op verzoek een conciërgeservice, hulp bij excursies/tickets en een huwelijksservice regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een binnenzwembad, een seizoensgebonden buitenzwembad en een nachtclub. Parkeren op locatie is gratis. Dit is een rookvrije accommodatie.

Bij Doral Arrowwood zijn kamers met airconditioning voorzien van onder andere een kluis en een gratis krant. Een draadloze snelle internetverbinding is gratis beschikbaar. My room was smaller than the one I booked...I came in a bit earlier than my scheduled checking-in time and I asked if it was OK to check-in and the reception was grand and spectacular but I was placed in a smaller suite than my original one. "Doral"
We had agreat time. We even brought the kids, The pool was fabulous. A hot tub for the adults, that was actually open. Night life in the pub! A great Sunday brunch. You won't be disappointed.
"A great Weekend deal"
This is a beautiful hotel with to-notch amenities, and a bargain for teh special weekend rate I received. My only complaint was that the beds are rock-hard. I know some people prefer hard mattresses, but I thought these were too hard. I sleep on my side a lot and woke with sore shoulders both mornings.

"Doral Arrrowwood, good option in N. Westchester"
After extensive research on area hotels we selected the Doral Arrowwodd for a one night stay. Attractive rate for conference center style hotel w/pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room and gym, all amenities attractive/important to our family of four in part because we do not have regular access to these things in the very rural location in which we live. Husband […] and older kid enjoyed having access to ping pong, and novice swimmer (4 yrs old) appreciated being offered a life preserver for use in pool. Was also a convenient location for accessing Metro North railway for day trip to NYC, as well as access to 684 in order to visit relatives in nearby town, which was our main reason for the stay. Staff was courtious at all times and prompt w/customer service transactions. Food in pub was standard hotel fair. Did a pre-reservation check on an online bed bug registry- no issues listed there and noted statement about hotel's efforts to check rooms, also did not see any indication of bugs in room. "Great pool, nice pub and comfortable bed"
It is rare to find in one hotel a super large and clean indoor pool, a bartender who doesn't skimp on a drink, a perfectly cooked burger, and a bed so comfortable that you want to go to sleep. I was sorry we had to leave so early the next morning for the airport.

My husband's cousin was having his 50th Birthday party and we needed a place close by. We did make a wrong turn and ended up looking at some lovely homes. "Far more than what I needed"
I was marooned at an airport due to a flight cancellation. This was the closest hotel that had a room. It is a lovely resort hotel and far more than what I needed for the night. Our original room had mold all over the walls and we had to be moved to another room. Other areas of the hotel smelled of mildrew and you could see green mold on the outside foundation walls and are parts of the wood shingle siding.
"Quick overnight stay"
The help was very freindly room was very clean and just right for what we needed. The pub was great and bar tender was wonderful. would reccommend it highly next time we would bring our suits the pool looked great.

A little pricey, but no too high given the location. Rooms were nice, restaurants were good, and grounds pleasant. Lots of banquet activity happening during my stay. Quiet location yet close to expressways; conveneint for my business near New Rochelle.

Location was not close to anything. did not have a spa. did not have a small convienience store incase you forgot tootpaste or needed asprin. limited options for food. rooms had poor lighting, small bathroom area. rooms were sparsly decorated and awfaul layout. For the price, it is the worst value I have paid, will not! return.

"Doral Arrowwood - A little too noisy"
The room was immaculate. The attention to the little things, like Kleenex tissues instead of the recycled garbage, the mouthwash, toothpick and toiletries are all top shelf. Unfortunately, my room was near an ice machine and it felt like my room was on the landing strip of Westchester Airport. It also took forever for the attendant to get my valet parked […] car in the morning. But the positives far outweigh the negatives. The health club and pool are state of the art. The bellhop quickly delivered a bag to my room that I'd accidentally left in my car and the room was very comfortable. "Doral Arrowwood in Rye Brook Village, NY"
On paper and via the images on the Web, the Doral Arrowwood in quaint Rye Brook Village, NY looks to be a splendid choice. Nested in rolling hills, surrounded by a golf course and in close proximity to the major highway; what could be more pleasant! I should have known that something was awry when I arrived at the pot holed parking lot! Shortly after […] parking up, another vehicle turned up; the driver opening his door to let his young child and his dog relieve themselves in plain sight, An isolated incident; I thought. This is not going to faze me. After arriving at reception, I was presented with the usual friendly greeting; yet never looked once in the eye by the staff as they shuffled papers and tapped keyboards. Again; I guess I was being a little too particular. I'd been spoiled by over a thousand other hotels; maybe I was over-reacting! When I was handed the door card to my room, I was asked to sign a disclaimer regarding excess fees and a dilapidation schedule. Not something I've done before in recent memory. I took my small daughter by the hand, lumped my baggage over my shoulder and headed to our room. Surely a Deluxe King; the best suite they had available at the time of booking would be a welcome treat. Well; I opened the door to find what I would cal la vast expanse of floorspace. A TV Cabinet, a desk and chair and a single sofa seat and a single bedside table adorned the room. No wardrobe, no trouser press, no additional seating. The room had a musty air conditioning odor which whilst not wholly intolerable was a surprise. I called the front desk and requested a late check out. They kindly explained to me that they would be happy to move checkout time from 11:00am to 12:00pm. Not quite what I was expecting based on previous experiences, so I let it go. I plugged in my phone charger only to watch the outlet "consume" it! As I plugged the unit into the wall, the outlet receded into the sheet rock! "Great Place for a Family Get Together!"
We met up with our in-laws at this property. It exceeded our expectations! It was a great place for everyone from our 3 year old to Grandma & Grandpa. The outdoor pool was great - it was heated so we could even swim in the rain on Sunday. The hotel had an hors d'oeuvres reception Saturday evening which was very nice. We visited the Doral Arrowwood for an overnight stay. The outdoor pool was very nice, although music would be a plus. The hotel is somewhat outdated but clean. Maybe our expectations were too high, but we were disappointed in our stay. Our room was extremely humid, and never cooled off the entire weekend even though we had the AC on full blast. Also the beds were short? The resort itself was beautiful with tons of activities for the entire family, I guess it was just the actual room that fell short.

The Doral Arrowwood -- beautiful, country club like setting. Rooms were clean and luxuriously comfortable. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel is large and we walked a bit to get to the room but laughed along the way and enjoyed the views. We ate at the "sports bar" and had a great casual meal, fresh salads and good food.

"Surprisingly Upscale and Elegant!"
The staff was extremely responsive to my needs, and the hotel facilities were clean and comfortable. I loved the "woodsy" feel of the grounds with the scenic golf course that surrounds the hotel. I would gladly stay there again and would definitely recommend to others!
"Doral Arrowwood - Outstanding Experience"
The experience was outstanding. The room was clean and updated, 2 bottles of water waiting for me, the soaps and shampoos were classy, the robe and slippers all made for a classy experience. The pool is large enough for lap swimming and kept at a wonderfully warm temperature. There are many more TV stations at this hotel than at the neighboring Hilton […] or Renaissance, including 3 HBO stations and ion. The valet had asked me to be patient while getting my car, as he had to clean off the snow and ice. It was well worth the wait. Today, good customer service is not easy to come by. "romantic get away"
great quiet hotel near NYC w/i 25mi nice cocktail hour- free to all guests food at dinner just ok - a buffet dancing to a live band great during dinner dissappointed that the tavern located inside the hotel did not have a live band as usual to dance to after dinner we love it here!!!! it's our 4th time coming here

"needs rennovation"
the place is fun for family, golf and tennis but rooms are sorely in need of renovation. Food is good for a burger joint and layout is 1970. Has a sweet pool that you can swim from inside the gym to outside which is great in the summer. Relaxing but needs work.

Extremely disappointed with the air conditioning and the shower. We had called maintenance to the room twice for no AC. Both times they had said they fixed it , but it still did not work properly. It was over 80 degrees in the room and very uncomfortable. The shower went hot then cold and was never constant.

"Beautiful location"
Doral Arrowwood is located in a beautiful location, close to the train station (easy commute to NYC), Greenwich, CT, and local interest points. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Although the room was slightly aged, it was very clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. It was exceptionally quiet as well, making for a perfect nights […] sleep. This hotel is like staying at a sports club with all the amenities to work out and play. The grounds and rooms are great. The restaurant was good also. I would highly recommend. It was very convenient to get to the airport the next morning.

Everything was great! The beds were exceedingly comfortable and I've never had such comfy pilows in a hotel before. We enjoyed the indoor.outdoor pool, especially when we were able to have room service deliver lunch to us at the pool. The room was spotless with room darkening curtains and really good a/c that did not noisily turn on and off all night […] like many hotels. The room had plush linens and really nice toiletries (including coton balls and q-tips), 2 desks with free internet and 3 phones. We were there for 1 night for a nearby family event but I would return for an easy weekend getaway. The hotel has very well maintained tennis courts, gold course and a mdoern well-equipped full service gym. The only things missing were a fridge in the room and a spa. We got a great price on Hotels.com. For the value, you can't do much better for a NYC area hotel. Solid 4+ stars! Lees meer

"The Doral Arrowwood Resort"
The resort was very nice with all the amenities and if you like to play golf if is definitely worth the visit.. The only issue we had was that the room temp was comfortable for me but my wife was a little chilly and we couldn't adjust the thermostat. It took until the next day for them to offer a space heater.
