Red Roof Inn Philadelphia - Trevose in Trevose

The hotel lost power somewhere around midnight. I arrived at the hotel at 1 AM. Could not see anything of course. Then got woken up at 3 Am when power was restored and all the lights came on in my room.

Was close enough to Philadelphia for us. The room wasn't extravagant but, perfect for sleeping & showering before exploring the area. We plan on staying there again.

I thought that room and location were good for what I needed. The hotel was close to food, and shopping and also not far from downtown area.

Great room and comfort. Room was flawlessly clean and well maintained. Fair neighborhood, but that's where we needed to be for the night. Allowed us to check out late, without extra charge. Great deal, overall.

when I made the reservations to stay at the red roof, I wish they would have let us know that there wasn't anything available on the first floor. we get there and I got a room with a king bed but we had to go to the 2nd. floor. I asked if there was anything available on the first floor and they said no, they are renovating the first floor. well, if […] I would have known that, we would have stayed somewhere else, to stay on the first floor or a place that had an elevator. what did they do, if there was a handicapped person that came to stay there. my wife is slightly handicap and the steps were a little hard for her. they need to let customers know what is going on when things like a renovation is happening. The hotel is conveniently located on the southbound side of US 1 just past the PA Turnpike interchange and right at the Street Rd. exit. The tricky part is that the driveway into the hotel in on US 1 and not on the exit, and US 1 is an expressway. Since I saw the driveway too late, I went on to the Casino & came back later. Not being totally sure about […] how to get back without going north and coming back south on US 1, I took the US 1 South exit from Street Rd. going back and the ramp actually encircles the hotel property so when you arrive at US 1 South, you can go on the expressway or turn right into the parking lot of Red Roof Inn making it a very easy in-out, on-off situation. The hotel was under renovation in the lobby, but I found the rooms were done over when I was checked in. Compared to a Red Roof I stayed in several years ago, the improvement is phenominal. Hard wood floods with simple rugs for easy clean. A large desk and work area in a business king. New furniture and bedding, plus all the plugs you need convenient to the bed for your laptop, etc. The open wash basin area and un-closeted hang-up bar remain, with just a tub & toidy in the private room. New fixtures all around. Tub had some challenges, but the room was clean, non-smoking, no mildew odor. I was very pleased, especially just for a place to crash. I would go there again. Lees meer

I booked it because it was the most affordable option in the vicinity of the Philadelphia area, and as I pulled up I thought regretfully it would be just another roadside inn that wreaks of smoke. But it was in fact significantly nicer than any other Red Roof Inn I've stayed in and is 100% smoke free. They are currently under construction of the lobby […] and the second half of their rooms and I would certainly stay here again. The only drawback is the sound of traffic on the adjacent highway. Our stay was fine. The room was good. It was clean and well stocked. The hotel staff was poor. Booked the superior room and when I went to watch a movie (pay) I couldn't access it because I prepaid the room!! Had to walk out in the rain to the office to give $50 deposit. To get to this hotel there is just a driveway right off the highway. When looking at the map of this area I chose it because there were restaurants nearby, but they were difficult to get to because of the location of the hotel. We were disappointed -- no hair dryer, very few towels, tacky decor. Noisy. Although the staff was very friendly, there were few if an amenities in the room. It was no more than a place to sleep.

For the price it was an excellent hotel. The room was clean and well kept. It had a microwave, refridgerator, safe and good TV. The shower water was hot. If I would be in the area again, I would not hesitate to stay here again. It is within a mile or two of nearly every eating and retail establishment you could want.

For the price and location, it was what I expected. Front Desk service was great and the room was clean which is what matters.

My last (2) stays, I had a lot of problems with the in-room safe. My last two stays, they switched my room a total of (5) times. I always stay that this hotel, but in the future, I may begin staying some place else.

Not up to the mark. Most rooms doesn't have even micro-oven. I had to do to office, taking my food to get the food warmed. Room service is poor. Rooms not cleaned regularly. Not happy at all.

at first, it was a nice location and ordering food was not a problem. into the night, the air conditioner started to make a scary loud noise as if a car was going through the wall. when the noise stopped, we rested for another 2 hours before the alarm automatically went off at 6am even though we did not set it for 6am. the air of the room was extremely […] dry and wasn't warm, despite adjusting the heat. when it was time to check out, the teenager at the front didn't even ask if we had a nice stay or invited us to come back, all he desired to say was "ok, you're checked out." The bed was horrible. Felt like I was sleeping on a brick. My husband and I did not have a good sleep because of it. Other than that the hotel was good. The bed is the only complaint I have.

It was a good stay hotel was clean and smelled fresh there was more then enough space. Only bad thing I passed it several times but once I got there I was fine. The guy at the desk both night and day were friendly. Even though it was close to the highway traffic noise wasn't a problem.
