The room and staff were excellent. Food and room service were great. Pity about the construction site opposite the hotel as it did detract from the overall experience.

Deluxe room was nice enough. Biggest issue for me that ruined overshadowed anything that might have been good about the place was that they have the worst air conditioning of any hotel I have ever stayed in. It was close to 40 Degrees outside and I initially thought that it was broken in my room but the staff were treating it like it was normal. I went […] to three other floors and checked and all of them were the same as my room. No air comes from the vent and their system can't keep up with the heat. Other gripes are the water pressure was weak, they are building a stadium across the road from the place with work starting at 7am. I also asked to leave my bags after I checked out o Sunday and was told they would be left in the store room. When I returned 5 hours later they were in the same spot out in the open I left them. It was a different girl behind the counter and when I just walked over and grabbed my bag no one stopped me and checked if I had a bag tag for them. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. Lees meer

Easy walking distance to CBD, easy, yet longer walk to NIB stadium...central location, helpful, friendly staff, clean room, bathroom needs a refurb, but still useable and clean. needs free biscuits to go with your morning coffee! Pool nice and clean and warm...could not fault it for a one night stay in Perth!

I stayed at Citgate, and with a 3 night stay got a great rate. My room was spacious and well appointed, if a bit minimalist. The lobby was also nicely decorated, but smaller and less grandiose that the Duxton or Hyatt, for example. Service was first rate, with friendly and helpful staff that go the extra mile. The free internet in the business center […] was also very helpful. Overall, very nice and an outstanding value compared to the competition. If you need a gigantic opulent lobby, this isn't the place, but otherwise an excellent choice that I recommend. Lees meer

The Hotel was very good and the room rates were reasonable, the only thing which I feel could be improved is the menu for the evening meals, it was quite pricey, and very limited, only three choices for a main course, we only ate there on one evening, and didn't think it worth dining there again.

The lobby looks great and the rooms have obviously just been redone/renovated, but this hotel still has remnants of an older facility: -plumbing is questionable - water would spray and make weird noises when faucet was turned on -toilet did not flush well unless held down for a long time -fitness facilities are on the roof basically and it's a tiny […] room with 1 treadmill, 1 bike, 1 elliptical and a bench press... let me just say that one person was running on the treadmill and it sounded like the whole roof was going to cave in... that room should NOT be marketed as a fitness facility -pool is also on the roof (it was too cold to swim so I did not try) but it looked like a kiddie pool -drinks in lobby bar were tasty but the food that I tried was not good at all... didn't seem fresh (hotel is never great though) -received a wifi code that I paid for and it did not work... had to stay on the phone with their IT support to get me connected to the internet via WiFi for over 40 mins! Cable internet in the rooms worked fine... -The best thing about my hotel stay was the $4 coffee in the mornings (but then again, coffee in Australia is great! Starbucks better hide...) I will be going back to Perth again for work and will NOT stay at this hotel again. Lees meer

I checked in really late - the staff were lovely - I missed breakfast due to jetlag and so canot say much about the place really!

IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A HOTEL WITH A NICE VIEW THIS ISN'T FOR YOU DUE TO CONSTRUCTION GOING ON, HOWEVER CONSTRUCTION NOISE WAS NEVER A PROBLEM. I NEVER HEARD ANY LOUD BANGING OR ANYTHING. THE HOTEL LOCATION WAS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. JUST A SHORT WALK FROM THE CENTER OF DOWNTOWN, PERTH TRAIN STATION, SHOPPING PLAZAS, BARS AND RESTARAUNTS. THE INTERIOR […] OF THE HOTEL WAS VERY NICE. THERE IS A BAR/RESTARAUNT IN THE LOBBY. I DIDN'T VISIT THE GYM OR POOL AREA BUT FROM THE REST OF THE HOTEL I CAN IMAGINE IT WAS JUST FINE. THE HOTEL ROOM ITSELF WAS PRETTY SPACIOUS ALONG WITH A BIG BATHROOM. VERY COMFORTABLE BEDS. HOTEL STAFF WAS EXTREMELY POLITE AND HELPFUL WITH ALL PROBLEMS I HAD SUCH AS NAVIGATING AROUND TOWN OR TRYING TO LOCATE A SPECIFIC ITEM IN TOWN. I PURCHASED THE ROOM AT A DISCOUNTED RATE BUT WOULD HAVE PAID MUCH MORE FOR THE ROOM. THE FOOD AND DRINKS AT THE HOTEL WERE PRICEY BUT SO IS EVERYTHING IN AND AROUND PERTH, AUSTRALIA. Reported fridge was not working when we checked in mid afternoon, When we checked out 3 nights later fridge still wasn't working. Afriend left a message for us and it took reception 24 hours to let us know.
