Eaton hotel is een goed verzorgd hotel met goede faciliteiten. De ligging in Kowloon is zeer goed om vanaf daar per metro Hongkong en omliggende gebieden te verkennen. Kowloon zelf is absoluut waard om de kleine steegjes met kraampjes te verkennen. De volgende keer ben ik van mening om weer voor Eaton hotel te kiezen.

Afgelopen maart (2012) heb ik met mijn zoon in het Harbor Plaza Resort City geslapen. Het is een prima en schoon hotel. De afstand naar het centrum is een dik half uur. Maar het hotel heeft een shuttle bus. De kosten hiervan zijn ca. 2,50 voor een enkel ritje. Ook vanaf de luchthaven kun je met een shuttle bus van het hotel naar het hotel komen. Kosten hiervan zijn 10,00 euro. Duurt ca. 3 kwartier. Prima geregeld dus. De kamer is schoon en de grootte viel me niet tegen. Goede badkamer met ligbad en douche in het bad. De bedden zijn wel kei hard. Dit hotel is aan te raden maar let wel op de afstand naar het centrum toe. Je gaat niet even snel vanuit het centrum terug naar je hotel en dan weer naar het centrum toe. We kunnen het hotel niet vergelijken, aangezien we voor de eerste maal in Hong Kongen op bezoek gingen; alleszins adembenemend zicht op de haven vanaf onze kamer op de 62e verdieping (hadden gevraagd zo hoog mogelijk te liggen) Ligging in de New Territories, doch wegens aanwezigheid van de werkelijk sublieme metro-lijnen en de goedkope taxi-service geen enkel probleem om alle interessante plaatsen in Hong Kong en Kowloon snel te bereiken; ontbijt nogal Engels-Aziatisch maar dat is begrijpelijk natuurlijk; mooi-ogend design in de badkamer niet altijd praktisch maar voor de rest prima kamer met kluis

goed hotel, eenvoudig te bereiken vanaf vliegveld met shuttle, spreken goed Engels, internet in lobby is snel en gratis, op kamer is wireless voor klein bedrag ook erg goed. Kamers zijn wat klein, maar voorzien van een heerlijke douche.

Het ligging van het hotel is wel afgelegen maar met openbaar vervoer is goed te doen. Het Tsing Yi shopping mall is niet zo ver van de hotel met de mini bus kom je in 5 min. bij de shopping mall.
Ligging.
The Mira Hong Kong Hotel ligt in het centrum van Kowloon, op loopafstand van Miramar Shopping Centre en Nathan Road. In de buurt bevinden zich ook Wetenschappelijk museum van Hong Kong en Temple Street Night Market.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
The Mira Hong Kong Hotel jheeft een volledig uitgeruste spa, een healthclub en een binnenzwembad. In openbare ruimtes wordt een gratis snelle internetverbinding (draadloos en via kabel) aangeboden. Dit hotel met met 5 sterren beschikt over zakelijke voorzieningen waaronder een businesscentrum, een vergader-/conferentieruimte en een limousine- of autoservice. Dit hotel biedt diverse eetgelegenheden, zoals 3 restaurants plus een koffietentje/café en een bar/lounge. Het personeel kan op verzoek een conciërgeservice, hulp bij excursies/tickets en een huwelijksservice regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een spa, een fitnesscentrum en een sauna. Parkeren op locatie is mogelijk tegen betaling. De accommodatie beschikt over speciaal daarvoor bestemde rookruimtes. De algehele renovatie van deze accommodatie is in september 2009 voltooid.

The Mira Hong Kong Hotel heeft 492 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van kluisjes in de kamer (ook geschikt voor laptops) en een minibar. Elke televisie heeft premiumkanalen via kabel/satelliet, een internetverbinding via tv (toeslag) en betaalfilms. Alle kamers beschikken over een bureau, een kluisje op de kamer en een telefoon met voicemail. gratis lokale gesprekken (hiervoor kunnen beperkingen gelden). Gasten hebben gratis draadloos internet op de kamer. Elke badkamer is voorzien van make-up-/scheerspiegels, een haardroger, pantoffels en gratis toiletartikelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een gratis krant en een waterkoker/koffiezetapparaat. Daarnaast zijn op verzoek voorzieningen beschikbaar zoals massagebehandelingen op de kamer, een strijkplank/strijkijzer en hypo-allergeen beddengoed. Een turndownservice is elke avond beschikbaar en een huishoudservice dagelijks. In The Mira Hong Kong Hotel mag niet op de kamers worden gerookt.

The gym, pool and zen like sauna and steam rooms at the Mira hotel were worth the say alone. We've been staying at the same hotel, in Kowloon, for the last 10 years purely because I am a creature of habit. This hotel (fortunately) was not available on this last trip, so we booked the Mira Hotel instead as it was in the vicinity of where we wanted to be. What a pleasurable experience that turned out to be! We had an excellent room, superb linen, […] excellent service, a brilliant location, not even 300m to the MTR (the underground) in Tsim Tsa Tsui and an easy walk to the Star Ferry for the trip to Hong Kong island. I travel to HK for business regularly, and this is the first time I've ever stayed here, only because I usually stick to the regular starwood/priority club/etc hotels where I can recieve points. However, this hotel is a gem, right in the heart of the shopping off Nathan Road, Connected to the Miramar shopping center, and close to many restaurants as […] well as the great ones they have inside. The rooms were updated, clean, comfortable, and I have to say-very sheek. I LOVE the decor of this hotel. Definitely boutique style, not your usual Hilton. If you want to try something new and branch out, this is the place. The service was perfect and everyone was very friendly. Easy/quick check in and out, and very convenient to the MTR as well. "Great Location - dimly lit"
Excellent location and very comfortable Hotel. Has some of the best restaurants in Kowloon. The view from the windows is poor and the Hotel / Rooms are dimly lit - not enough light which some people may like but should have options for better lighting.

Had a great stay in HK The Mira. The other thing i am not happy will be the shuttle bus have been removed. Its quite a problem to travel to yr hotel. By taxi or other kind of transport will be very troublesome. Thanks
"Poor location not compensated for by amenities"
It is trying to be a trendy hotel - perhaps to make up for the nondescript location, but the reception area was dark, too cold, and background music rather creepy. The rooms had everything, but furniture crammed together, colours clashing, and had to keep curtains closed day and night for privacy. Came to the hotel intrigued by the Michelin 2 star rating […] of the restaurant, but thought it was nothing special - wonder whether Michelin reviewers really understand Chinese food; you can get gourmet offerings on the streets if you know where to go. "Mira Hotel - Near the Golden Mile"
Hotel is excellently located. The room although small is very appointed. Couple of points to note: No iron in the room. Had to ask for one and one was brought quite quickly. However if running short of time and do not notice until look for an iron, might cause problems. For some reason most taxis dropped us off on Nathan Road. Only issue we had is one night they decided to commence renovations on the floor above us at 2am. Otherwise all else was excellent.
Wonderful hotel and service from top to bottom was excellent. Communication was easy with the staff. Hotel is close to everything. I will definitely be back next year when I travel thru Hong Kong/Kowloon.

The hotel room has state of art technology that other hotels do not have, at least I haven't come across. I like the the way they had done up the switches for the lighting and the blinds for the toilet glass panel. Bed was comfortable and the hotel has complimentary wifi. The choc was a nice touch but wished they hadn't put the 2 bottles of complimentary […] drinking water in the toilet. Overall the room was clean except that a baby cockroach greeted me when I checked out the toilet after entering the room. It was definitely a relief that I didn't find any others. I wish the room rate had been cheaper and the staff more helpful when I inquired on the nearest location to take the airport express shuttle. The only reply I got was the hotel doesn't have it. "FLAWLESS"
The hotel was absolutley perfection! I have been to HK many times and usually stay in Central. This location was so perfect and close to the MTR for easy access to Centntral and other locations in HK. The hotel was a beautiful and the staff was fantatstic. i stayed on the club floor that gave me breakfast in the morning and used the light fare for dinner […] many nights after long days of work. The room was spacious and contemporary and very clean. They even gve you a cell phone to use locally in HK while you are there at no additional fee for local calls. What a convenience and money saver. The staff on the club flore could not have been more graciuos and warm. They were able to help with all my requests and even walked me through getting lost on the phone while in Wan Chan. Just an overall great time and wonderful experience. At registration, the Hotel receptionists seemed confused like they were unaware of the check-in procedures, one kept looking at the computer screen and unsure which key to enter next on his keyboard, the other kept asking her superior, so checking-in was painfully slow for us, and the two couples in front of us. After that, however, everything was great […] especially on the Club Floor where we were staying, the personnel there seemed better trained compared to those on the ground floor. Room has great facilities. Breakfasts offered good selections and the Club Lounge has free drinks all day. And the location of this hotel cannot be faulted. Cannot seal highly enough of this hotel. We were traveling with our infant son and my mother. Hotel staff incredibly helpful and forthcoming, everything from advice, maps, bookings, recommebdations. In hotel dining excellent: great buffet breakfast, funky cocktail bar, GREAT cakes at Coco (the coffee shop in lobby) and Michelin starred dining at Cuisine […] Cuisine. Pool/spa a highlight - 2 heated pools, spa- they even offered to watch my son so I could take a sauna! Will absolutely stay here on future trips and have told all our friends. I am a frequent traveler to Hong Kong and normally pick a new hotel to stay at every six months! I liked this hotel so much that I will continue to try and book a room here. The staff are so friendly, helpful and almost Texas hospitality like! I have recommended the hotel to several friends already!

Excellent people and facilities right in the Heart of Kowloon and Tim Sha Tsiu district. Pool in the middle of kowloon is rare and great after a long day. Great value all round
