Pluspunten: Mooie kamer. Gratis internet maar slecht bereik. Leuk restaurant naast het hotel. Minpunten: helaas geen strand en het gratis ontbijt was erg karig.

Ik heb al veel hotels bezocht ook in de VS en Florida maar dit was veruit het slechtste wat ik heb bezocht als je geld over hebt om naar florida te gaan geef dan een paar dollar meer uit voor een beter hotel en laat je echt niet misleiden door een paar mooie foto's op hun site. voor mij NOOIT MEER !!!

Hotel is oud, kamers ruiken niet lekker. Handdoeken zien er niet fris uit (alles trouwens niet). De "tropische tuin" (volgens de site) waar de meeste kamers op uit kijken is misschien wel tropisch, maar zeker geen tuin. Zwembad stelt niks voor. Zwemmen in de "baai" zouden we niet aanraden. Het extra bed waar we om verzocht hadden, was totaal niet geschikt […] om op te slapen. Je voelde overal de spiralen doorheen steken. Wel verzocht om een ander, maar die hadden ze niet. Ontbijt was niet veel soeps.(ook naar Amerikaanse maatstaven niet) Oorspronkelijk kregen we een kamer toegewezen die niet geschikt was om te verblijven, daar het tapijt schoon gemaakt werd en dat had 8 uur droogtijd nodig! Bij de incheck balie was dat niet bekend!! Gelukkig hadden we de koffers nog niet naar boven gesjouwd. Geloof de foto's op de website niet! Gratis internet in de lobby. Er zou een pakketje voor ons afgeleverd worden die dag of de volgende en meteen toen we later de middag de lobby inliepen lag het keurig klaar. Geven graag en prima info als je een vraag hebt. Was een klein probleem in de badkamer, binnen 10 minuten was t opgelost (op 31-12!). Grote flatscreen, fijn verwarmd zwembad met […] ligstoelen met dikke kussens, een strandje waar je kon zwemmen (wel spingen vanaf een vlonder) niet zo t water inlopen. Bij t strandje ook ligstoelen, mogelijkheid om te vissen. Vlak bij het hotel is een restaurant, Mrs Mac Kitchen waar je echt heeeeel erg goed en lekker kunt eten, home-made en niet heel erg prijzig. Genoeg snorkelmogelijkheden in de buurt. Ontbijt in het hotel is zoals in de meeste hotels, maar prima te doen. Wij hebben nog een nacht bijgeboekt tegen een schappelijk tarief. Helaas was de zee heel onrustig en zijn we niet gaan snorkelen maar John Pennekamp is dichtbij. Kamer werd goed schoongemaakt en voldoende handdoeken. Net voorbij het zwembad staat een picknicktafel met een bbq, waarvan je gratis gebruik mag maken. Vlak bij het hotel een Burger King, een supermarkt binnen 5 minuten rijden met de auto en een Wallgeens bijna aan de overkant van de straat. Lees meer

Nice location on the beach. Rooms are very and dirty ( very dusty room). The breakfast is very bad, there is no place to eat and the place is also not. clean. The price for the room is to high.

We have been there 5 times in the past 7 years. It has changed a bit and not for the better, I would maybe guess there are new owners. Dont get me wrong we love the place and location, We just didn.t get the at home feel that we remeber

The hotel was fine for sleeping and showering,only complaint,the ac worked poorly.When in the keys who wants to stay in the room any length of time regardless !The 2 closest restaurants were excellent,the japanese food on sight and right next door at snooks,Snooks was a bit pricey,28 bucks each for fresh local fish,dinner specials even !Amazing sunset […] view,if you want a beach in the back yard,this isnt the place for you,its about 10 feet wide! Our group reserved two island view rooms for one night before a week boat charter. We told them we'd arrive late after reception closed and they had our keys and papers waiting for us, so check in was a breeze. Rooms are standard and clean, beds were comfy, nice to have a frig in the room too. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We did not stay long […] enough enjoy the pool and beach which looked pretty nice nor did we eat at the Sushi Nami which also looked good (though small and easy to miss). The surrounding area is close to a busy highway but we did no hear any noise. We would stay again as it is a very affordable place and has lots to offer for families. Lees meer

Front desk lady was sleeping when i arrived at 3pm. She was not happy to be there. The room was disgusting. The shower rod was Broken, the 2 top sheets off the bed were stained. The sheets looked new. Floor was dirty with hair. The halls, elevator, and stairs were just in poor cleanliness. Just nasty the hotel was kept.

I thought the people were nice. My criticism would be that there only seemed to be one room cleaner. Didn't bother me, but I can see a problem. Nice beach and pool area and fun food next door. A good experience.

We spent one night while enroute from Key West to Ft. Lauderdale Airport. Room was very good; third floor but with elevator which was nice change. Hotel was a little difficult to find and road construction made for slow travel for several miles. Address of Hotel is on Hwy. 1 but actual drive is on Atlantic, which is confusing and not explained in "directions". […] Overall we were very satisfied. We could walk next door to restaurant or down "road"; no beach access, 5 - 6 doors to another restaurant. Beach is not worth talking about and pool is very small. Thankfully we only stayed for one night. The AC did not cool the room at all and the bed was full of sand under the bed spread. We arrived just before 9pm (when the front desk closes), so we were stuck by the time we discovered the mess. Needless to say, we will not be returning anytime soon.

Woman at the desk was rude and completely unaware.... Breakfast consists of a pagaged bagel... Room was clean. Only thing bad about room was the door did not lock and huge gap around door. Nice location. SNOOKS resturant is next door and made our stay Amazing! Over all not too bad. We enjoyed our self :)

Happy with the stay. Great place if you not looking for a big busy resort. Low key. Nice restaurant and bar next door that plays live music every night. You can lay by the pool or beach and listen to great music. Location was great. Walking distance from everything. Staff was helpful and friendly. Only thing is the pictures are misleading. The property is a little tired inside - didn't look like the sliding wardrobe door in our room had moved for years - in fact it was off the runners! The outdoor areas by the pool and beach were the high point. Breakfast was OK - typical for included of cereal, bagels, etc, plus coffee. Handy position for ride on the African Queen.

Located convieniently next to an outdoor shopping mall with cinema. The Staff was friendly and the breakfast was certainly above average. I would stay there again.

Great private beach where you could watch the sunsets and there was a resturant with outdoor waterfront dining right next door. Very convenient to just walk to if you wanted to.

The first night we arrived after the hotel registration closed. They left a note and a room key for us. The room we were assigned had not been thoroughly cleaned. The sheets on the beds had not been changed from the prior guests. Of course the next morning the staff was apologetic and moved us to a new room. The housekeeping practices are terrible. […] We had to go to the front desk and either request our room be cleaned or obtain more towels or coffee. At one point, we only received one clean bath towel because the hotel ran out of clean towels and were not laundering the dirty ones. The only thing about this hotel is the cheap price, and now I know why. They advertise a private beach (there is none) and a heated pool (so cold you could not get in past your knees). The only thing I found to be a positive about this place is that it was centrally located near all sorts of restaurants and attractions. Lees meer

The hotel was so dirty! pool bathrooms looked like they had not bee cleaned for months. No ice in ice maker on 2nd floor, Had to go to 3rd... when asking the staff for things, no one knew anything and did not help.

made reservations as an overnight stay on our way to Key West. Found out the inn is under new management and seems to be interested in making this a better place. Everything was cozy, but some things could stand to be updated. I'm sure that's in the future. We would definitely return again.

We arrived at Key Largo early afternoon and were told we cannot check in the room until 3pm. We asked whether we can store the luggage before we check in (because we rented a convertible) but they refuse to take them, citing lack of space. We decided to drive to Key West, and returned at 9:30pm only to find the office completely closed and locked. Nobody […] answers the phone but fortunately they left the room key in a mailbox and we were able to get into the room. Next day, after spending the day at the beach, we found the room not yet cleaned at 5pm. No new towels, no shampoo, no soaps. At 8:30pm they finally came to deliver the new towels, and the towels are still wet, the manager was unapologetic and said the towels will be dry next morning if we hang up the towels. Apparently the hotel staff does not care about hotel guests at all (at this time we already gave up the hope of having new and dry towels). Truly disappointed and regret completely that we stayed at this hotel. The location of this hotel is however excellent--it is close to the coral reef state park and the dolphin cove, two places we visited. Lees meer

Housekeeping and grounds keepers were fine; but, management and front desk leave a lot to be desired. Hotel needs some tender loving care, it is showing it's age. Mattress was there from opening it seemed. No view from windows.

Room was dirty, and insect in sink area. Pool area was very disappointing. Fabric on pool chairs dirty. Front desk person rude. We moved to another hotel and did not use 2 days of the reservation but they would not offer any type of refund.
