Best Western Hotel Villa De Barajas in Madrid

I liked my overnight here. It's quirky but not charmless. Called for a complimentary pickup from the roadway just outside MAD Term 2 using my mobile (Americans: make sure your phone is enabled for intl calling BEFORE you depart the U.S.). A van was dispatched and arrived quickly. The check-in counter inside the tiny reception area feels rather like a car rental kiosk. Check-in was quick and my questions were answered efficiently. I found the room to be smallish but very clean and the bed firm, as I desire. The bathroom, also small, was nevertheless a standout: spotlessly clean, modern and with good shower water pressure. There were a few English-speaking tv channels, as I recall, but when I landed on CNBC Intl (financial news) my wish had come true. I had takeout from the Chinese restaurant across the road, pretty good. Overhead halogen lights above the bed in Rm 204 could possibly sear your retinas. I didn't have breakfast in the room adjacent to the lobby but complimentary freshly brewed coffee dispensed from the machine in the bar was excellent. I'd stay again. Lees meer

We thought that the name Best Western would assure a minimum level of comfort and reliability. But the hotel is poorly constructed and noisy; we heard running water, flushing toilets, and showers from other rooms. Since this is a hotel used by people between flights at Barajas, the inconvenience continued all night. We had a morning flight so needed to be close to the airport. The hotel is close to the metro, so it was an easy journey there from Chamartin train station. The hotel shuttle bus goes to the airport every half hour so getting to the airport was easy. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff were helpful and the breakfast buffet was good. Convenient to the airport for an overnight stay, clean comfortable rooms and pleasant staff.

Clean rooms. Very good breakfast in the morning. Convenient (5 minutes) to the airport by hotel van. Nice sidewalk cafes in the same block as the hotel.

Although the room was very clean, it was extremely tiny. The single bed bedroom was almost as big as the bathroom.

Tip: Make sure you know that it is called Villa de Barajas and not just Best Western. The cab driver didn't know Best Western. Perfectly acceptable hotel for an airport overnight. I don't know who wrote the other reviews, but other than being close to the airport, this hotel was terrible! The room was tiny and noisy, the staff very rude, and the internet hardly worked. Very convenient, 10 min from airport, in the village of Barajas, they offer free shuttle and free wifi. decent neighborhood with several food outlets.

The room was cramped and the bed was a lot to desire (not comfortable). The bathtub was high and not easy to get in or out. Breakfast (scrambled eggs) were ice cold. Facilities to make coffee/tea in room would be much more convienent then to have to come downstairs. The lift was the smallest I've ever seen. The walls were paper thin.

Close to airport and airport shuttle included in room price. Delightful breakfast, nice room, fast and complementary internet. I would definitely recommend it!

Excellent location if you need to stay arounf Trade Shows and commercial area of the airport. Friendly Staff and Subway station just 2 blcks from the hotel I found a very good balance quality and price

It is very convenient to stay in a nice area close to the airport. The room is small, but for one night is fine. The hotel is clean and looks nice.

Great location near the airport and metro station. They have free airport shuttle. Cozy, clean and easygoing staff. They were flexible with my luggage and other requests. Airport shuttle works from 6 am to midnight and taxi cost about 20 euros to the airport. I took a wrong shuttle Best Western Atlantic that cost me about 2 hours and 16 euros. I guess […] the driver knew about my mistake before boarding and decided to take advantage out of it. Another mistake I made was not including breakfast with the room reservation as it is much more expensive when you pay on the spot. I paid 21 euros for two people for one breakfast while I had the option to pay only $7 extra per day to include breakfast with the room. One last thing, beds were not stable on the floor. When I sit and lean on the wall, I find the bed moving under me. I reported that to the front desk and they said they would take care of it. I would definitely go back to stay in that hotel. it was excellent for what i needed

We thought the location was ideal. It was a block from the Metro, a quick, easy ride to the city center for tourists like us. Plus only a 5 minute shuttle ride to the airport for an early flight home.

This hotel is not in the best neighborhood. If you would like an airport hotel, then this is good. If you want to visit Madrid city center and touristic areas, it is far. It is two minutes walk from Metro station( which is convenient for traveling purposes). the hotel is very convenient to the airport. Rooms are air conditioned and breakfast was adequate. We had no trouble getting the free shuttle to the airport.

A 2 min walk from the Barajas metro stop with a shuttle to the airport. Very convenient location. Small but clean rooms.

Situated in the main street, it has a bar a few doors away, a Spanish restaurant across the road with a Chinese restaurant a few doors away from that. There is also a nearby Tapas bar and a Burger King if you're into that. The only slight drawback is that the hotel only has a vending machine to dispense beer, soft drinks and snacks in the evening, but […] this is more than compensated for by the close proximity of some many other places to eat and drink. reception staf were a bit surly and reluctant to help but everything was as expected regarding paperwork etc. The room was small but very clean and the breakfast included was perfectly fine. The local area is nothing spectacular but plenty of cheap local bars and shops - very pleasant couple of hours. Next morning the shuttle bus went all over the place […] at Madrid's spaced out airport so we were 30 mins late at our terminal and almost missed the flight - Overall I would use the hotel again. transport a partir de l’aéroport très pratique lors de notre arrivée( les numéros des différents hôtels aéroport sont affichés a l’arrêt des bus hôtel). le personnel est agréable et petit déjeuné est standard. chambre un peu petite pour 3 adultes mais la qualité best western est respectée.

Helt greit hotell hvis det er kun for en overnatting. Meget god beliggenhet i forhold til flyplassen.

Jos pitää yöpyä Madridissa esim. koneen vaihdon takia, suosittelen lämpimästi tätä hotellia. Hinta oli mielestäni erittäin kilpailukykyinen ja sille sai vastinetta. Hotellilla on mm. aamiainen ja ilmainen lentokenttäkuljetus, joka tuli lentokentälle noin 10 minuutissa soitosta. Luultavasti shuttlebussi olisi ollut valmiina, jos olisimme ilmoittaneet […] tuloajan etukäteen. Aamulla taas shuttle lähti kentälle puolen tunnin välein. Matka kesti alle 10 minuuttia, mutta lentokentän läheisyys ei tehnyt hotelista meluisaa. Parin korttelin päässä on metroasema, joten lyhyelläkin pysähdyksellä ehtii käydä keskustassa. Metromatka tosin vaatii pari vaihtoa ja kestää aika kauan. Aivan hotellin ympäristössä on myös ravintoloita, jollei halua keskustaan. Buen servicio, personal muy agradable, internet gratis, el desayuno bueno, y servicio al aeropuerto cada 15 minutos. Muy recomendable.

Trabajan muy bien el tema de los traslados a la feria, al aeropuerto también. Las habitaciones cómodas y límpias. Lo único que falta es un enchufe para el portatil en la mesa escritorio. Internet va muy bien

Tulimme Madridiin illalla. Hotellin hintaan sisältyi ja meille aiemmin hotelliin soittaessani luvattiin ilmainen kuljetus kentältä hotelliin. Kun soitin kentältä hotelliin, sanottiin, että kuljetus on vain klo 21 saakka, koska on uuden vuoden aatto. Soittaessani klo oli vähän vaille 21. Jouduimme siis menemään metrolla ja sitten raahaamaan matkatavaramme […] hotelliin. Hotellin tiedoissa luvattiin, että siellä on saatavana ruokaa ja juomia koko vuorokauden. Kahvila oli suljettu ja juomia sai vain automaatista. Hotellissa piti olla ilmainen internet-yhteys, mutta se ei toiminut. Lees meer

Lo mejor: Ideal si estas de paso por Madrid y tienes que estar muy cerca del aeropuerto. Hay estación del metro a poca distancia, lo que facilita hacer una visita rápida a la ciudad. Lo peor: Terrible la actitud de los empleados, los de la recepción en absoluto amigables. Fue nuestra primera y única experiencia en españa y nos dejó con la impresión […] de que muy poco les importa los vistantes. Desayuno de mala calidad e igual, la encargada solo se dirigió a nosotros para pedirnos los tiquetes sin mediar nunca un saludo. Reitero, quedamos muy mal impresionados con la falta total de amabilidad. Es un Pequeño hotel muy bien ubicado lo recomiendo solo para estar una noche para viajeros que necesitan dormir una noche por la espera de otro vuelo, limpio y ordenado. Hotel en perfecto estado, muy bien situado cerca del aeropuerto y del metro que lo conecta con IFEMA y el centro. Servicio excelente, incluyendo traslados gratuitos al aeropuerto.

Das Hotel eignet sich gut als Zwischenstopp wenn man am naechten Tag weiterfliegt, der Shuttle Srvice funktioniert gut, das Fruehstueck war ausgezeichnet. Das Zimmer was sehr klein, aber um den Preis habe ich mir auch nichts anderes erwartet, allerdings waren Vorhaenge und Waende dreckig, nachdem das Bett und das Bad jedoch sauber waren, war es halbwegs […] okay. 地方からの乗り継ぎにマドリッドで１泊することになりましたが、空港から近くシャトルバスも予約が必要ですが、利用することができ便利。部屋も清潔で少し狭いので大きいスーツケースだと広げにくいですが朝食もついてこの値段で大満足です。
