Hampton Inn Minneapolis NW Maple Grove in Maple Grove

I was extremely disappointed with the loudness of the highway nearby... all night long! I addition, I was able to hear the floor creak every time the person in the room above me moved. Then there was the construction in the lobby area.... I don't mind dealing with a mess if I am aware of it in advance and/or of the hotel makes accomodations, but to […] pay full price and deal with these inconveniences was very disappointing. The hotel was under major construction. The whole lobby and and breakfast area was a mess as construction goes. The re-located breakfast eating area was way too small. To get to the front desk was a mess. The service people were very very nice and comforting--not a problem there. The construction was in process the whole 6 days I stayed there as I paid […] in advance or I would have moved. If I knew what was going to be involved, I would not have stayed there if I had known. All I got was a sign in the lobby saying " excuse our construction". Not Happy!!! The super mentioned that Hamption Inns is doing re-construction nation wide. Remodeling...there are ways to maintain ambience and appearance while remodeling, the contractor and management seem to have missed that course, consider temporary partitions, screen walls, etc, it would have been nice if Hotels.com would have noted the hotel condition on the booking page

Everything was fine. Breakfast was good, had a variety. I wasn't aware that at time of check in they would actually take a deposit off your credit card and then return to you in two days or so, and that was because of booking through Hotels.com. We have stayed at this particular Inn since it was opened approximately 15 years ago. We are impressed with its long term interest in maintaining a high standard for the traveler. Great job!!

We have stayed at the Maple Grove Hampton quite a few times over the years. ALways have felt good about our stay... There were a lot of young families there this past time. Seemed to be enjoying.

It was a nice get-a-way for us for the weekend. The hotel is close to many places we wanted to go to. A little disapointed we didn't get to use the pool and such but we didn't have the time. Oh well, maybe next time. It's a nice place to stay, no complaints, we'd stay again.

Great breakfast which included hot/cold cereals, cooked/boiled eggs, meats, pastries, and beverages. Great area for shopping which includes many, many shops and restaurants. Room was clean but detailing overlooked in room and throughout hotel. Obvious drip under sink hasn't been scrubbed in weeks. Good size pool, small exercise room. Upon leaving, took […] key from me and said "okay"; didn't even care to ask how everything was or if my stay was good or if there were any problems. All things considered, would only stay if needed. Worst thing is you can't get any sleep because poorly sealed windows let through large amount of highway noise from the extreme busy highway. You can ask for room away from highway, but you won't be able to get away from thin walls which forced us to hear next rooms and floor above voices, t.v.'s, and snoring throughout the night. There was a baby in the housekeeping room. The housekeeping staff were pleasant but not in uniforms or even name badges. Felt very awkward . Housekeeping needs to inspect the bathrooms top to bottom. Very helpful desk clerk.

This is one of the nicest Hampton Inn's we have stayed at. It was clean and up to date and the breakfast in the mornings is awesome!! There are a ton of restaurants and shops within walking distance and downtown/airport/mall of America were only 20-30 minutes drive depending on traffic.

In general, a pretty good motel. The bathroom fan was useless which turned the room into a bit of a sauna after 2 showers, but other than that, it was pretty comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful. The issue was the "smoke smell" immediately upon arrival in the room late at night . . .too late for us to ask for another room. This odor did NOT dissipate with the A/C on . I told the front desk person and he said "all our rooms are non-smoking"; welllll, something stinks in that room (406).

Hotel was very quiet. Very little hallway noise. The only thing I would liked better was if the beds were queen sized rather than just double beds. I am used to sleeping in a king sized bed so this was quite a change and queen would have been more comfortable for me.

We were in the area for a graduation party and selected this hotel for the proximty to the party. We were pleasantly surprised at the selection of restaurants in the area and surprised at the shopping nearby. Great location to get away with plenty to do in a weekend.

We really enjoyed our stay. We were in Minneapolis for the Back to the 50s Car Show. It was nice to come back to a beautiful hotel. We also loved the great breakfast in the morning before heading out for a long day at the show.

It started at "check-in", we had a couple of requests that were handled at check-in, NO questions, NO hassle, just met our requests. I asked about an upgrade to a suite also, and they said if one comes available we will call you immediately. I said that isn't necessary if we are already checked-in and every thing was fine. This hotel was in a very nice location close to all the shopping. The room had a slight smell of smoke which was disappointing. Room itself was very clean and comfortable. Very quiet too. Had a very nice coat closet with a door but due to the door being there we forgot our coats in the closet. Didn't realize it until 24 hours later. Called the hotel […] and thankfully they had them in their lost and found. They were so willing to ship me the coats and had them within two days. That is going over and above that's for sure. The breakfast area was very cramped in the morning. No place to sit anywhere. Very small area compared to many other Hampton Inns we have stayed at. The food also was not worth waiting for. Who ever heard of pancakes wrapped in apple filling. Just not satisfied with the free breakfast option there at all. I stay here everytime I go down to Maple Grove and would never think of staying anywhere else. Everyone is so polite and helpful and the hotel is gorgeous.

It was okay. I felt the front desk person was not friendly, nor did he are that I was about to stay there. He had a "whatever" attitude towards us when we checked in. Our room was cold and the heat never got any warmer. There were Yellowed stains (YES- You know what kind I mean) on the edge of the White comforter on the bed as if someone had sat down […] on that spot after certain types of personal relations, so it tells me that they do not pay attention to detail when cleaning, or they just did not change the bedding before my stay. I felt that the staff ignored us as we walked throughout the hotel, even when we ate breakfast in the dining area, or when we went swimming. They were sure quick to let us know however that it was 10:45am the day of check out. WOW! I guess someone noticed that we were there after all. Rude, Cold, Nasty and Unsatisfied...
