Americas Best Value Inn in Brownsville

Horrible experience. First time ever this happens to me. Bathtub was disgusting, sheets and pillows did not smell clean. Tv volume kept goin in and out. Remote did not work. You could hear everything going out In Hallway and when asked if I could move to downstairs they lady told me no that I had been there already (25 mins) .

The hotel feels old. While everything is clean, maintenance is not up to speed. The parking loot had weeds, the main runner in the hall was wrinkled like it had been soaked. Staff seemed friendly. We stayed 2 nights. The last night, the air conditioner was not working. We returned to the hotel at 11:00 pm and was greeted by the front desk clerk. When we went in the room we noticed the air conditioner was turned on low which was still comfortable but during the night it started to get warm and stuffy. We called the front […] desk the next morning and told them about the air conditioner not working only to find out they just had to flip a switch and it turned back on! Now, did they purposely turn the air conditioner off? and if so, why? and why didn't they leave a note in the room for us to inquire about it! We didn't say in the room during the day. But when we stay at a hotel, we expect to be comfortable....and this was not the case. We do not usually complain but we feel this time maybe they need to look into this siituation to prevent another customer from having an uncomfortable night. Lees meer

Updates needed-color scheme for bed linens. Looks like something out of the 70's. Shower head-pressure was good, quantity of water received, not good at all. Bath tub stopped up. No iron or ironing board in room. No coffee maker in room. Disinfectant or air freshener used was overpowering upon entering the room. Mini fridge in room contained no shelving […] of any kind and was turned off, not just set to low. Light on work table not working. Lighting in restroom was not all working. Hand soap was available but in the form of a wall dispenser like something you would find in a public restroom. Same for the shampoo in the shower. Bed and linens and pillows not comfortable. woke up both mornings with sore neck. AC worked great. Great tasting coffee in restaurant. Friendly. Great location for my business. Ample parking. Manager and hotel clerks were very friendly. Bathroom had some plumbing problems. Nothing major. Manager was told about it and would have gotten it fixed but we did not want our stay to be interrpted so we bore with it. Otherwise the hotel was close to many shopping areas and close to downtown. Will stay again. Price of hotel was good

En general las instalaciones del hotel estan muy bien, los unicos detalles que tuvimos fueron que las tarjetas (llaves) para entrar al cuarto fallaban seguido y la alberca estuvo en mantenimiento por 2 dias. De ahi en fuera todo bien.

Muy bien me parecio excelente este hotel, sobre todo porque esta cerca de las tiendas y del centro de Brownsville... la verdad lo recomiendo ampliamente
