The Contental Breakfast is what brings me back to this hotel every year.

Good hotel in great location close to Bourbon Street but away from noise.

I chose the Dauphine for a business trip because I wanted to also experience the ambience of New Orleans and I did not want to stay in a 'chain' hotel. I also wanted a hotel that served breakfast. The staff was great, the room was clean and spacious, I really have no negative comments about the staff or the room. The free breakfast had a great variety […] of food and was well organized and the area was kept clean as guests left their tables. I only wish there was a place nearby to get a light supper because the area is surrounded by restaurants catering more to tourists or those who want a fabulous dinner, and after a day of working, I wanted something more low key. But I really enjoyed my stay at the Dauphine and would highly recommend it. Lees meer

We were upgraded to a larger room but it required climbing a narrow stairway which was not explained at check in. My wife was not pleased,

The hotel was very clean and comfy. The staff could not have been more professional and friendly. Our stay exceeded all of our expectations, and would come back in a heartbeat!

This hotel had history. The rooms were smaller than I would have liked, but they made up for it with service. The breakfast bar was very nice along with the beautiful courtyard area. I would love to come back when it's warm enough to use the pool! Being so close to Bourbon St. was also a plus if you wish to have some fun.

We loved the Dauphine Orleans. The rooms were very clean and comfortable - hotel staff were friendly and accomodating. The only minor complaint was our room's double french doors looked out on an alley and the air conditioning unit of the neighboring building. Very "New Orleans".

Great location...best hotel bed I ever slept in.......awesome staff

The Dauphine Orleans has been tastefully renovated and has friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are a comfortable size with comfortable beds. It has a beautiful patio area, valet parking, an exercise room, etc. The best part is the feeling that you're experiencing the culture of New Orleans instead of just one more hotel.

Loved Alysa (think that was her name, the gal from DC) who works the front desk. She is fantastic. Check-in was fast and easy. We even got complimentary drinks at the bar plus breakfast the next morning. Our room was fine- clean and comfy. Just a good value in a typical French Quarter accomodation. I would stay here again.

Safe place to stay in the French Quarter. Service was excellent and very helpful. Private parking was a plus as there is limited parking in the Quarter. Room was very clean and comfortable. Easy walking access to all areas! Enjoyed our stay very much.

Nice hotel close to everything in the French Quarter. Clean, well maintained rooms with a nice continental breakfast. The only downside was the $32 / day charge for parking. Would definitely stay there again.

We had a very nice stay at the Dauphine Orleans. The staff was competent and friendly. Very adequate breakfast and a pleasant bar. Remember that parking is quite high when tax is included. Safe walking distance for all the Quarter.

Very convenient to Bourbon Street. Super comfortable beds. Not quite as much charm as some others in the French quarter but overall very nice.

The Dauphine is a nice older hotel in the French Quarter. The location is a little closer to the sketchy side of town, but overall it was a great experience and was very convenient to activities in the French Quarter during Mardi Gras. The staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay.

During Mardi Gras (first week) I would have thought this hotel would have been noisy (one block off of Bourbon St.) but it absolutely was not! Overall it was quiet, boutique feel and very clean/modern. The rooms are NYC size, compact, and give the feel of a W hotel. The bar was cozy and the free breakfast was adequat. I highly recommend this hotel for the great location and excellent helpful staff.

Our room was clean and comfortable. We could walk to, literally, everything we wanted to see/do in New Orleans. Continental Breakfast was amazing! We loved this hotel!! Only cons would be: no in-room fridge.

The Dauphine Orleans Hotel was nice and very clean. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

I was in NOLA for business. The hotel was just blocks away from the conference hotel. My room was clean and quiet the entire week. My only problem was a slow bathtub drain.

Room was nice and so was the staff. Off season price really helped me stay in budget at a good value. Originally, I receive a room right next to the elevator, but upon request was given a more quiet location.

Really loved our stay here. Great staff, great room and great location. Also has a great little bar for a quiet drink to start or finish off a long night out in the French Quarter. I will be telling my friends about this place!

The location of this hotel is something that sells it in itself. Located on the corner of Dauphine and Conti, one block back from Bourbon, it's close to the action but without all of the noise that comes with it. This is the second time we've stayed at the Dauphine. First time, we were in the back building, fourth floor, and a king room. HUGE room for […] the price (and we got a good price). This was during August, and it was HOT, the A/C didn't go down as far as I would have liked, but it was still comfortable. This time, we stay in the front main house, fourth floor, double room with a view of Dauphine St. We had no issues with noise from Bourbon St. at night, which I assumed we would have. The room was the same as the long, although a lot smaller. The bathroom needed some serious work... The water dripped constantly and the door and walls needed some paint work... Kind of seemed a little dingy (which was a surprise because of the condition of the other room). The mattresses are Tempurpedic and amazing after a day of walking in the Quarter. The valet attendants are almost as helpful as the front desk clerks, so if you're on your way out and need some fast advice, ask them. Check-in/out was a breeze-- lasting less than 5 minutes each time. Parking in the Quarter is hard to find, so the garage parking is a nice bonus. If this is your first time in New Orleans, go to the Dauphine. It's a wonderful, easy introduction to French Quarter hotels. You can go adventure out into boutique hotels later! It's a bit pricey in some instances, so I can't say for sure we'll be back (especially from the seemingly inconsistent condition of the rooms). But, I've enjoyed each stay I've had there for the location alone. Wherever you stay, be sure to check out the little bookstore across the street from this hotel and Jagerhaus on Conti between Dauphine and Bourbon... AMAZING German food and close to this hotel. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff made us feel at home. It is a nice sized hotel, not too big and not too small. The continental breakfast was very good and had plenty of choices. Room was nice and comfortable.

Great stay all-around (except for the game). Thought it might be a little too close to the noisy activities on Bourbon Street (hotel is one block north); however, it was not an issue. Would definitely recommend and we'll stay nere again next opportunity we have to visit New Orleans.

The room had all the amenities; the bed was super comfortable; the staff was friendly and helpful; the location couldn't be beat--it was so quiet, you almost couldn't believe you were only a block away from the mayhem of Bourbon Street.

This hotel was really nice and I would have loved staying there had we not been right above the parking area. All night long the parking attendants were very loud..honking horns.. slamming doors etc. There is NO SLEEP if you are located in this area. We were in room 207 and I would highly recommend not staying anywhere close to this area. If we would […] have had a room on the side of the pool our stay would have been more pleasant. Pretty much couldn't wait to leave and contemplated trying to find another hotel while we were there. Was sooo glad to leave and go home! On another note the staff was very friendly and courteous but did not make up for the fact that the room we had was terribly noisy!! Will not stay there again!! Lees meer

I hope to be able to stay again. Everything was great! My only complaint was that the wireless Internet was a little slow; but compared to everything else, it's still a terrific place to stay.

A friend recommended this hotel to me, so I had high hopes. It's clean enough for the price I paid, but they could use new carpeting in the rooms. I felt the need to really walk around with socks on just to make myself feel comfortable in the room. The late afternoon/evening staff could also use a refresh on customer service, as their friendliness […] and responsiveness to fairly simple questions made me feel like I was inconveniencing them. And bickering over the problems they're having with other employees in front of me doesn't bode well for the reputation of the hotel overall. I'll likely try to find another hotel in the neighborhood on my next visit (there are plenty), that represents the true charm of the area. Lees meer

Upon check in, we were told that the double beds we requested when reserving the room three months prior was not available. We elected to take a room with one King Bed. Thirty minutes after we got into our room, another couple walked right in with a key. When I went to the front desk to find out what was going on (and to have my card key re-activated), […] I was told that the double beds became available right after we checked in, but no one called us. The floor in front of the mini-fridge was soaking wet. The room, otherwise was very nice and the bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The staff was efficient and courteous. Loved the location of this hotel just a block off Bourbon Street. We had no noise issues - got a quiet room at the back, (201), with own bathroom away from the lifts. Breakfast was good. Desk staff were very good.

Rates are high during cruise or conventions then on Monday prices were slashed when returning from cruise. Seattle
