Het hotel is wat ouder maar voldoet aan de eisen, kan langzaam aan renovatie gaan denken.

Goed hotel. Kamers zijn ruim en vooral de kamers met balkon zijn plezierig. Restaurant en bar stellen niet veel voor. Echter op loop afstand is er een ruim aanbod aan bars en restaurants.
Ligging.
Travelodge Florida City ligt in Hoeve in Florida City, dicht bij Prime Outlets Florida City en Homestead Sports Center. Een andere bezienswaardigheid in de buurt is Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Accommodatievoorzieningen.
Gasten krijgen elke ochtend een gratis ontbijt. Naast een buitenzwembad en een wasserij heeft Travelodge Florida City voorzieningen als gratis kranten in de foyer. In openbare ruimtes is een gratis snelle internetverbinding (draadloos en via kabel) beschikbaar. Parkeren op locatie is gratis.
Hotelkamers.
Bij Travelodge Florida City zijn kamers met airconditioning voorzien van onder andere een kluisje op de kamer en een waterkoker/koffiezetapparaat. Elke televisie heeft premiumkanalen via kabel/satelliet. Elke kamer is voorzien van een draadloze internetverbinding. Elke kamer heeft een magnetron en een koelkast. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een haardroger en een strijkplank/strijkijzer.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag worden aangerekend.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een borgsom in contanten of creditcard voor te leggen.

"aanrader"
Als je op doorreis bent naar key west is dit een mooie tussenstop. Kamers zijn ruim en de douche is goed en je auto staat voor de deur. Het ontbijt is eenvoudig. De staf is vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Wij zijn met 5 mensen rondgereisd door Florida en dit hotel was goed genoeg voor ons omdat wij er alleen maar sliepen en gebruik maakten van de douche. Het ontbijt was ook goed genoeg. Ik zou dit hotel wel kunnen aanraden voor een tripje door Florida.

"Goed"
het was zeker goed voor een overnachting niet geschikt voor een complete vakantie. Het ontbijt is niet echt maar je krijg een coupon van 20% korting bij Denny's en daar kun je goed eten. En niet duur. Wij hebben er s'avonds bij aankomst gegegeten en s'morgens hebben we daar een breakfast genuttigd.

Een zeer goed onderhouden motel, heel schoon, mooie tuin met veel planten, bomen en bloemen. Vriendelijke, behulpzame mensen aan de balie. Heel goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding.

Though this was our cheapest hotel during our stay in Florida, it was a pleasant surprise. The hotel is conveniently located, when driving to or from the Florida Keys, Miami or the Tamiami Trail toward the Everglades.

Dit is echt een goed hotel. Het hotel wordt goed schoongehouden en het personeel is zeer behulpzaam. We hebben veel hotels bezocht tijdens onze reis door Florida en dit was zeker een van de beste hotels. Prima ontbijt en goede bedden.

In eerste instantie zouden we hier één nacht verblijven, maar de prijs/kwaliteit verhouding was dusdanig goed dat we besloten hebben om hier op de terugweg nogmaals te verblijven. De locatie is op zich wat eigenaardig, achter de McDonalds en een tankstation, maar verder perfect gelegen, goed bereikbaar van de Everglades, eetgelegenheden en diverse shops. "Better than expected"
We stayed here on our way out of the keys. It was conveniently located, reasonably priced, clean and well maintained. They had a half page handout/map that showed many local attractions, shopping and resturants that was very helpful for finding your way around.

We selected this hotel because of the other reviews on line. Not knowing with the area, we were concerned. We found the hotel to be very clean, not just the room, but also the grounds. This Travelodge is "Old Florida" at its best. For an economy hotel, it was every bit as nice as a typical higher star hotel. Chiki huts to sit around, spotless rooms with clean laminate wood flooring, good air conditioning, very friendly staff. This is completely reminiscent of the day when there were multiple mom and pop hotel chains all over south […] florida and Keys before the big chains took over. We stayed here after we had been in the keys, before a flight from Miami the next morning. It's a good location if you are flying out or in, rooms are great, pool was nice and staff were friendly.

"Staying overnight for an Everglades tour."
This hotel was clean, comfortable and well located for our trip to the Everglades. We we only 0.5 miles from our Everglades tour company location. Numerous restaurants are within minutes of the hotel.

The motel has a 60s or 70s look from the outside, but once inside one moves into the present. The place is very clean and well maintained and all the basic needs are there.

Room was clean and bedding was very good. Facility is older and a bit frayed, but seems to be maintained well and is good value compared to others in the area. Lots of eats and shopping nearby and a convenient jumping off point to visit Everglades and Keys.

Good clean place to stay just a night or two. Place was clean and all needs were taken care of. Breakfast is a bit of a frenzy, lot of oversea visitors staying.

"Nice stopover hotel before the Keys"
This hotel is conveniently located at the entrance to the Florida Keys. No frills hotel...if you want a good night sleep before driving to the Keys, this hotel is for you. It is also close to all the strip malls. Reasonably clean, on occasion I saw a few small insects in the room.
Negative as well as positive reviews motivate us to do better at the Travelodge Florida City-Homestead. Your comment about insects is noted and we will definitley get our house maids to improve their efforts, as well as alert our pest contractor to be more vigilant. Staff very helpful on the phone giving directions. We had a dog and that worked out well. Liked the wooden floors and the outdoor tables for eating breakfast.

Exceptional cleanliness in our view, good staff service and a great location for visting the Everglades and Florida Keys.

This hotell was more motell style in our opinion. It was nice enough and the breakfeast included was good. The kids enjoyed the pool and the laundry facilities were also fine. Some nice restaurants around and helpful staff.

Check-in was really, really attentive. The manager explained the hotel, the area, and nearby restaurants (many of which offering discounts if you show them your room key) without even having to ask. And we also received a little snack (microwave pop corn). Our 1 queen room was basic and a little bit worn, but well looked after and clean. They have […] free wifi and 2 computers to use. Printing of boarding passes is free, but if you ask they let you print other documents for free too. The breakfast was good, it was busy at times, but there was someone replenishing continously. Hotel looks just so-so from outside, BUT is very clean and comfortable inside! This is my second stay in a travelodge hotel, and both were very nice! Room was maintained very well and room amendities are new. Will recommend travelodge to anyone seeking for an acceptable price and good value!

I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of our room and the upkeep of the grounds! Kudos to ur cleaning staff!!! I also liked the medium sized fridge and microwave that came with our standard room. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
