La Quinta Inn Denton in Denton

Neighborhood is scary and gross, do not come and go after dark!

We reserved 2 rooms for 3 nights. Upon arrival on day one at 5:00 PM we checked into 2 rooms that had not been cleaned. The hotel moved us to two different rooms one of which still had dirty towels in the bathroom. The 24/7 fast food place next door was quite lively at 2:30 AM on day two. We were gone before 9:00 AM on day three and returned at 4:00 […] PM to find that our rooms had not been cleaned. We were told the cleaning staff makes one round first thing in the morning to check rooms and were done for the day. Evidently they never check a second time. There were no rooms to be moved to this time and we had to ask at the desk for towels. Won't be staying here next time we have a weekend getaway in Denton. Lees meer

Very easily located. Easy access to and from the interstate. Staff was extremelly courteous. Room was very clean and comfortable Would recomment to anyone, whether overnight or for several days.

The place is okay, but we'll look elsewhere in the future.

well did not sleep at all people drinking makeing all kinds of noise running up and down belcony all night ,room was not ready at 5:00 pm check in was 3:00 pm

We just needed a cheap place to stay to break up a 10th hour drive. This place did that job. Door didn't fully seal. A few dents in the wall. One of the light fixtures was buzzing and popping as you turned it on. Wasn't too impressed with the floor of the tub. Looked grody. But the bed was pretty comfy. Was easy to get to. All in all it was a good stay.

Marginal hotel, older property, sketchy neighborhood, rooms need to be remodeled, free breakfast advertised but not available, would not recommend.

Surrounding neighbors would not be quiet! Went out at 11:30 to ask them to be quiet. Called front desk asked them to take of it at 12:30, then at 1:30, then at 2:30 I called the front desk and nobody answered. Called 5 more times they finally answered the phone!!! Told them I was very disappointed and that they needed to do something about the neighbors. […] We only got 2 hours of sleep and my daughter had to dance 14 dances at Nationals. Also the room smelled like someone had smoked in it and we both are allergic to smoke. So stuffed up by the time we left. Had asked for non smoking! Walked out of room early that night and the room next to us was smoking! So no, I will not recommend this hotel! Lees meer

Feels more like a motel but nice breakfast

Our first room wasn't ready. Messy bed, taco bell trash, random earring, pennies and used towels awaited us. Second room was clean, but electronic lock was useless (we realized this on the way out to breakfast the next morning). We slept in/left our belongings in a room you could just walk into. Maintenance "fixed" it. Then it wouldn't unlock. After […] several attempts to reprogram our card keys we got to watch maint. man break into our window (glass broken) to let us in. We declined switching to a new room and requested a full refund which they were quick to agree to. Maybe it was a fluke experience, but we won't be back again. Lees meer

Hotel was very clean and well kept. Breakfast was pretty sad but the restaurant next door made up for it. Would definately stay there again.

Older hotel but very clean and comfortable. Convenient location to I35 and Denton area.

So when you drive up a small bit of concern might cross your mind. It is definitely an older hotel, with a very bad yellow paint job. But the staff, rooms, and free breakfast were all amazing. And the rate compared to surrounding places was a steal. Would definitely stay here again.

This La Quinta was an obviously older property, however, it seemed well maintained and clean. One drawback was the access from I-35. Pretty crowded intersection and the neighborhood was in decline. All in all, I would stay here again as the rates were quite competetive with others in Denton. Thanks,

Very convenient location with the standard amenities seen in most roadside hotels. Very clean rooms and helpful staff.

This hotel is just off I-35, but close to UNT and downtown. It isn't anything fancy, but it;s clean and comfortable.

This hotel is nothing fancy, but it's convenient, clean and the service is good.

Comfortable and clean.

We stayed here one night for an event at UNT. The location was super easy, and very quick access to UNT. The hotel is a drive-up (with exterior doors), but we had no concerns with safety or anything else. The hotel staff was extremely nice and accomodating, and the breakfast was good.

I have to travel to Denton several times a year--and this is my new favorite place to stay. Quiet, courteous staff, clean room, generous breakfast. Super close to UNT, etc. Great value!!

Customer service was great and next day, morning breakfast was great. But...only complaint, when my son pulled down the his bed, you can tell someone has slept there. Overall, mission accomplished because it was 2 minutes away from the college. Will stay again on our next trip.

Great place for an overnight stay.

This hotel was really easy to find, near many restaurants, and is less than 5 minutes to UNT's campus.

This is a drive up motel (which was not revealed in the reservation notes). Excellent location to UNT campus. Outside area of hotel was not in good condition. We couldn't figure out how to turn on the shower and our TV did not work. They tried to call maintanence but it never got fixed. Towels were almost transparent. We left a note to get extra towels […] and that the TV was broken but I guess the notes never got read. I would not recommend this motel unless there were no other rooms available in the area. Very well maintained hotel. The rooms were clean and the beds extremely comfortable. Close to nice restaraunts. Will make this the place we stay when traveling to Denton again.

I am giving the La Quinta Denton 5 stars for their outstanding quality to price ratio. This is one of the best hotel stays I have had recently among several places in the same price range (+/- $10). When I got to my room I was quite surprised at the cleanliness and in room amenities. The bed was very comfortable. The décor of the room was pleasant. Updated HD TV was nice, too. It was relatively close to the football stadium. When we got to the hotel, the room they gave us reeked of cigarette smoke and the room was not ready, so we had to change rooms. The 2nd room was ready and smelled better. It was decent for the price, but I probably won't stay here again.

The hotel was close to the college and convenient for the purpose of taking a kid to college. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good.

We reserved a room with two doubles, but got a room with one Kng sized bed for the three of us. The clerk was very happy to quickly switch us to another room, even though he told us the hotel was full...BUT in the new room we found a dirty towel hanging behind the door, a dirty washcloth draped over an ice bucket full of ice, hair on the bathroom floor, […] and a used bar of soap at the sink... When we requested clean towels, they quickly brought us 5, but they were all thin hand towels. I have stayed at other La Quintas before and never had issues. This was gross! Lees meer

The hotel was slightly older but made up for age with an extremely courteous and helpful staff, clean room, clean pool area, nice big flatscreen and oh so comfy bed.

The only place we could get WiFi was intermittently in the middle of one of the beds. Not at all useful. Toilet did not flush well and bathtub did not drain well

Our stay started in a room with a television you could not increase volume and room was extremely hot. We changed rooms. Second room was okay. i left a couple of items in the room and called the hotel three times because the cleaning crew had left for the day and apparently was not told to return phone calls until after the third call. We made arrangements […] to stop by hotel on our return trip and gave them a specific time we would be at hotel. Needless to say, the items were not located at the front desk and could not be retrieved because the only person who could access ANYTHING was the person in charge of housekeeping. So now they are saying they will call me and then have items mailed to me. Unsure if that is true or not. Lees meer

I should have reserved a room with a queen bed. The double was too small.

I was really pleased with the room. The beds were comfortable and the room was really clean. The front desk staff were really friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay there again.

the hotel was clean but old. carpet, furniture, etc. was below my standard fro a 2-3 star hotel.
