Days Inn Torrance in Torrance

Als je een plek nodig hebt om gewoon lekker te slapen, en je wilt ook een magnetron en koelkast in de kamer, dan is dit motel perfect. Voor de attracties in LA zul je wel een stukje moeten rijden, wat soms vervelend kan zijn in het drukke verkeer.

Well we did not expect much and we were still disappointed when we arrived. The location is some 5 miles from the highway to airport and we had to navigated through busy local streets to get there. The staffs were ok but the environment is not so good. There were unknown sticky stuff on the hotel ground just outside our room. There is not elevator and […] we had to climb 3 floors to our room. this is an older hotel that is a bargain for the area. We stay here about 5-6 times /year as it is comfortable and you can't beat the price. the continental breakfast is also good.

Consdiering the price I got on the room, I think I had an exceptional stay at the Days Inn. Building is old but the room I had was not outdated. Very clean and comfortable. Also considering I was within an easy drive to Long Beach, Redondo Beach and LA, I will definitely consider staying here again on my next visit.

The people were nice but the room was terrible, the door was scratched up, paint chipped off the door in the bathroom and the front door, the chain on the door was weak, the table the tv was on had a large cup ring on it, the breakfast was just cereal and bread. the sink stopper was stuck in the sink and the push in pole to pop it up was missing.

The people were fantastic but the room was horrible, chipped paint on the bathroom door as well as the front door, the chain on the door was super skinny, other doors had the bolt, there were worn out paint rings around the tv stand, the stopper in the sink didn't work, the carpet was gross and there breakfast was just cereal and toast.

Reasonable prices, quiet and a great location with convenient bus service. The attached Indian restaurant is fantastic.

This motel has stuffy rooms and pretty bad breakfast choices (donuts or apples). The Wi-Fi had average signal strength, but no bandwidth to the internet, rendering it useless. The hot and cold water were plumbed backwards in the shower (dangerous). There are better buys in the area for the same or less money. Not recommended.

The hotel room was dirty gross. Bathroom was dirty mold falling apart. Beds dirty. Sheets and pillows stained. Beds are so uncomfortable. Hard as a rock. Very thin walls lots of noise all night.

this hotel is an excellent stay for the money. we stay there everytime we visit family in the area

My family of 3 stayed here in a suite while our house was being fumigated. It had a very reasonable rate, a very spacious room and a very friendly front desk staff, but that doesn't make up for how filthy the hotel is. When I arrived, the housekeeping lady was THROWING towels from the 3rd floor down to a cart on the 1st floor. The in-wall air conditioner […] was falling apart, the kitchenette had very poor construction (crooked, broken and uneven tiles, dirty grout). The bedspreads were very old, faded, dirty looking and sheets had stains on them. The worst part of the room was the ABSOLUTELY FILTHY CARPET. Within a few steps, the bottom of my feet were black, there are stains everywhere and when I bent to pick up something that fell on the floor, I saw a bunch of TRASH under the bed (glass bottles, etc)! DISGUSTING! As I said before, the front desk staff was so nice, that I almost hate to write this review, but please, do not stay here, it is extremely dirty. Everything was great except the fact that we are senior citizens and we were told no room on the first floor was available, which was an inconvenience after ten days out of the country, with no help in getting our luggage to our room.

Very poor customer reception and handling. I asked manager to book a room for an extra night and also added that I would confirm it in morning before checkout. He agreed to it. But on the other day they got totally changed and said you cannot cancel your booking (for the additional night). Please do not rely on them, all they want is money without any […] ethical conduct. the hotel is old with moldy carpets and bathroom fixtures. we stayed here only because of the jacuzzi room and the fact that they allow dogs. the neighborhood is convenient to the torrance/redondo beach area. management is pleasant enough but boy they need to upgrade the rooms.

My husband and I stay her often. The staff is amazing. Close to beach, shopping, and surrounding areas. The hotel has an AWESOME Indian resturant too! Would recommend for a convenient hotel with a great price.

Value for money. Do not expect more than some pies and a juice for breakfast though

The motel is well located in the Southbay area of Los Angeles. Unfortunately, it is an older facility that badly needs updating. Our first impression was not good. The entire place seemed to exude the odor of marijuana and on our way to our room we were met by several bleary eyed patrons. The room was OK, but certainly nothing special. Shortly after […] getting settled, the lights in the room went out when we attempted to plug in a laptop. Staff was responsive and a repairwoman showed up after about twenty minutes. When she moved away the furniture to get at the wiring we noticed that the problem was a "short" in the wiring. The wiring had been patched together and loosely wrapped with pink electrical tape. This did not inspire confidence. Basically, the facility is older and badly in need of updating. One gets the feeling that the staff is earnestly trying--but there are just too many obstacles to overcome. Things went well, a little noise next door one evening

Short notice reservation worked out perfect. Location was convenient to our family, rooms were adequate for our needs as they allowed small pets, as a joke i mentioned we had a donkey and the manager said that was fine as long as it remained outside on the lawn. This hotel was disgusting. You walk on the floor and your feet stick too it. My kids and my feet were black within minutes. I made everybody where shoes the entire time and my crawler had to stay in her play yard the entire time unless we were holding her. They tried to put us in a smoking room since we had dogs but I was never told that while making […] a reservation and refused it. They were worried about my dogs being too dirty but once I got in the room I would not even let my dogs lay on the floor. They had to be up on a bed or sofa. I would never recommend this hotel and I will obviously never stay at a Days Inn again. I could not believe their rooms were even allowed to be that bad. Certainly a reasonable rate, but the hotel is in need of renovation. Rooms were small and obviously of 1970's vintage since the last remodel. Light bulbs were burnt out, TV remote didn't work, and lots of noise transmitted from adjoining rooms. For the price, there's nothing comparable in the area, but I think I'd move up a level next time.

Where should I start...Soiled sheets, crawling ANTS all over the sink, dirty shower curtins, ordors ...After a long day we got to the room immediately having to spray a deodorizer because of the smell (they said it was fresh paint), pulled the covers back only to see dirty/soiled sheets...The front receptionist did change outr rooms. i stay here often when visiting family in area. it is inexpensive and comforttable and clean, the staff is accommodating and the continental brkfst good. we just need a place to sleep.

i enjoyed my stay everything was nice n done up and the room looked nice the balcony was beautiful was nice to sit out there. i was very comfortable i got to every place i needed to be at everything was close by.

The place is in dire need of updating, but is clean and usable if you need a place to crash. You can't beat it for the money and the neighborhood is good and close to shopping. The service was very good.

The mattress seems like it has not been changed in 30 years! The rooms were so small that the bed was blocking the door to exit the room. free breakfast which was ok. However, the milk from the refrigerator was frozen. The garbage bins on the property were filled to overflowing. I have stayed in numerous Days Inn. This has got to be the worse one. Behind the bathroom door the wall was gross. Didn't say anything, wanted to see if it would be cleaned. It wasn't!! Water in shower would fluctuate often, to the point of almost scalding you. On faucet of the shower, showed hot to the left, but was really to the right. Key to the room was changed twice before 9:00 am, and we had to get a different key. […] Check out is 12:00!!! having recently stayed at this location for several weeks, we would have to say it was excellent value (booked at a good late rate with hotels.com). we had a room by the pool which provided a nice view and great access to the lobby where a better than expected breakfast was available daily. the reception staff were always helpful to us and we will certainly […] be staying there again. This hotel was HORRIBLE....to say the least!! The rooms we got were in pathetic condition - the toilets were not functioning and they were reeking of smoke - despite the fact that we asked for non-smoking rooms. When we requested for a maintenance correction, the receptionist gave us the equipment and told us to fix the bathroom ourselves!!! All this […] is despite the fact that we booked the hotel almost a month back! In the morning, the receptionist was extremely rude and mentioned that he had no maintenance personnel and could not fix the solution - so we could either deal with it or NOT!! He also mentioned the hotel was sold out - and so I guess they frankly speakign did not "care". In fact, he kept on speaking and wuld not let me talk. All in all - it was a horrible experience. I will never recommend this hotel to anyone else. When there is no respect or courtesy towards the very guests who dole out the money towards your services, then such services are of no use! Beds were very uncomfortable, the rooms are very small, and very old needs a renovations badly. Bad advertisement the pics don't look nothing at all llike the hotel. i would seriously not recommend this hotel to anyone. oh and did i forget to mention good luck trying to find a parking there also.
