enjoy the hotel and the city

Very conveninently located. Room clean and confortable. Hotel old and dated but met all my requirments for a place to spend the night. People were very friendly.

I have stayed in Nassau many times and this was a very relaxed, comfortable hotel. The staff were great, the owner who has had the hotel since 1977 was very hands on and attentive to guests needs. It was a great atmosphere and I will always stay there from now on. Adam L

location of this hotel is very good. it is walking distance to Bay Street where shopping is located, can walk to junkanoo beach for lunch party, very near to mcdonald, dunkin donuts.. my complains: room 47 1. breakfast food should be upgraded 2. shower drain needs repair, clogged and unsanitary

The hotel was close to downtown, straw market, boat ride to paradise island, and Senor Frog. Walking distance to most things. Also close to McDonalds and supermarket. Hotel was very clean overall but the pool could of been a bit cleaner, leaves and stuff like that in the water. Patio by pool could do with a good power washing. a clean neat hotel that is a good base to explore downtown nassau. if you want a comfortable bed and clean but simple room this is a good value.

Great rate and great location. The front desk was friendly and helpful. AC was real poor and hot water was in very short supply. I stayed here for the location where you can walk to all the downtown sites. You get what you pay for. If I visited the city again and wanted to pay the low rate for Nassau, I would stay there again.

The hotel is not really 7 miles from the airport. Perhaps that is a straight line. And I was charged an additional $18 upon checking in, despite the fact that your website did not say there would be resort charges or any additional fees.

Walk less than 10 min to US embassy, perfect hotel for people like me need stay one night and get up early to my appointment. Hotel room very basic, Need new mattress and new towel. No bathtub and drainage not so good. When I taking shower my feet are taking bath! Same as the sink after I brush my teeth I need wait till the water drain and wash my face! […] The bed was not comfortable at all; I couldn’t sleep almost all night. Good news are toile flush, TV crystal clear and AC working, make a lots noise but works! This hotel in good location, close to almost everything. My appointment so early in the morning I don’t have the time wait for hotel’s complimentary breakfast but luckily McDonalds is next to the Embassy so I didn't go hungry. Another thing, I book this hotel on line, but when I show up at the door, front disk couldn’t found my reservation, even I show her the Confirmation No. luckily she have room available for me but I need pay the walk in rate. Be sure double checks your booking, or better just give them a call! In the end I recommended this hotel for people who need to get US visa, just need a room stay for a night or people who need do a little bit shopping down town Nassau this hotel will be perfect. I've just returned from a great weeks stay in the Towne Hotel. If you're looknig for your all inclusive, lounge around the pool sipping on cocktails vacation then forget. If on the other had your days will be spent seeing all that the Bahamas have to offer and are just looking for a roof over your head then it's spot on. It's clean, tidy and more than […] comfortable. The Towne Hotel in the centre of Nassau falls below par. The bathroom is not overly clean, and the decor in the room is also poor. Ok, the price is relatively fair, for Nassau, but be aware that the price you pay upfront will not be the final price...taxes and other fees are added when you check in (have not experienced with any other hotel booked through […] hotels.com). The breakfast, although included (complimentary) was bad, would rather eat out. On a positive note the staff were friendly, the location is pretty good, close to the coast and the fish-fry (recommend) and the power of the shower was great (although the plug was semi blocked causing the bath to fill). I see this hotel as more of a back-packers hostel, and if you can, would spend a little more and go to a different hotel. Lees meer

MY daughter stayed in your hotel and all was fine other than she felt she needed to clean the bathroom before she used it - particularly the bath area. The sheets were clean and she treated right.

This is a small hotel downtown Nassau. For a hostal it was acceptable, although the room left a lot to wish for as for cleanless and comfort. Hotel staff was friendly, polite and helpful, which was very positive. Hotels in Nassau are very expensive, so all in all I think this is a good option if you don't want to spend a lot of time and money on the […] big resorts. Lees meer

We didnt have any problem at this hotel. It is well located in downtown nassau near the cruise ship dock, 2 blocks from straw market (Hard Rock Cafe, souvenirs stores, Harley Davidson store,, 4 blocks away of Junkanoo beach (this is one the best beaches in Nassau near downtown, if you want to drink and have a nice time go to senor Frogs which is 2 block […] away from the hotel, Also there is a food store 3 blocks away they just take only cash they have affordable prices,,,just becarefull to go out alone after 7 p.m because downtown gets lonely after the cruise ships departs from dock and all businesses close ( It looks like a ghost town after 7 p.m,,,take a taxi) buses until 7 p.m,, for fun take bus number 10 one block away of hotel this bus take you for $1,25 dollar around the tourist shore line (Bay Street) to visit fish frys, cable beach (Breezes hotel, Cable beach resort, Sandals hotel, cristal palace casino near sheraton hotel,,in front of Sheraton hotel there is a nice place to buy souvenirs, this bus on the way back to downtown make the same stops for another $1,25 dollars. dont forget to visit Paradise Island it takes 10 minutes from the cruiser dock, on this area take a water taxi (big boat) it is secure right now the cost is 8 dollars round trip per person from 9 a.m until 6 p.m,,, on Paridise Island will find the Atlantis Resort getting into the casino area and shopping stores are free, dont miss the Aqurium, Predetor tunell, walk around the resort visit the manta ray lagoons, sharks lagoons All these package cost $39 dollars per person it is a good invesment buy the tickets inside the casino area they accept credit cards (remember for this value you are NOT allowed to use the pools or beach if you want to use them,,,it will cost more than $120 dollars , and if you have time go to Cabagge beach which is a beach next to the Atlantis beach this beach is public no cost, beatifull beach,,, from the ferry dock at paradise island get to paridise isliand drive and w Lees meer

O hotel eh velho e tem um fedor horrível. Os quartos sao piores ainda. Há ratos nas partes internas do hotel. A única coisa boa eh q a recepcionista eh um amor de pessoa. Me tratou muito bem.

Hotel bien situé dans le centre de nassau. petit dej continantal correct, par contre ne sert plus de diner après 18 h. et en plus ce n' est pas de bonne qualité.

Hotel tres bien situer mais tres bruyant, des travaux de voiries etaient effectuer devant l'hotel pendant la nuit, la clim fait un bruit assourdissant, il faut faire couler l'eau 10min avant d'avoir de l'eau chaude, la propreter de la salle de bain est a revoir. le petit déjeuner n'est pas super. Et le pire 51$ à rajouter pour 2 nuit/2 personnes pour […] les " taxes d'hotel " Sinon bien situer, juste au dessus du musée des pirates et du centre ville autrement personnel sympathique, idéal pour passer une nuit ou deux mais pas plus. ne pensez pas allez à paradise Island à pieds, c'est beaucoup trop loin ;) Lees meer

Hotellet ligger meget centralt så man kan gå til alt, bybusserne holder lidt nede af gaden så bil er unødvendig. Meget venlig og hjælpsom hotelpersonale.

Hotel bien situé mais très bruyant et le confort assez sommaire. La propreté est limite, mais le personnel est courtois et accueillant.

Dies war schon der zweite Aufenthalt im Towne Hotel und ich komme gerne wieder! Die karibische Atmosphäre und die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter sind so sympathisch,dass dieses Hotel nicht in Vergessenheit gerät.

We don´t think, that Nassau is the best place to spend the holidays. But we stayed there during the low season, that means in the evening was very little to do,because most of the people were back on their ships.
