Novotel Melbourne On Collins in Melbourne

My friend and I had a great time. Location was great for shopping. theatreand great resturants in the area. Hotel was clean and staff very helpful and friendly. Would stay there again.

Very dark room overlooking mall. Needed to have lights on all the time. Newly renovated Premier room. Only had blinds, no curtains and had to lower blinds as felt a bit on show which made you feel very enclosed. No drawers to store clothes. Large shower but would have preferred a bath. Very helpful staff, wonderful breakfast, amazing location (across the road from Tiffanys), will certainly be staying at Novotel on Collins again. And the shopping was incredible.

the location was great, perfect for shopping and eating out. Staff were helpful and friendly, great buffet breakfast. Cosy bar area to enjoy a pre dinner drink, overall a great venue for a break away and great value too.

We loved everything about this hotel - location, staff and especially breakfast. We voted it the best breakfast in all the hotels we stayed in during our family tour of Australia. Just wished we'd stayed for longer!

Excellent location for short stays in Melbourne. Walking distance to everything and close to all public transport. Excellent restaurants and shops very close by. Would stay there again.

the staff are very friendly and helpful. the lcoation is just great as it is so close to everything. breakfast was good. bathrooms are abit tired but are clean and enough space in the rooms.didnt like the pillows though.we would stay there again.

Very friendly staff,very good location,walking distance to all shops and entertainment venues.Only one gripe, the tv in the bar area needs to have more channel selection,rather than just sports.Over all a very enjoyable stay. Will stay here again.

Hotel is excellent & on upper floors of boutique shopping arcade. Concierge at bottom & lift up one floor to reception. Room we had was very good size & nice & airy. Being on a high floor we overlooked the city rooftops (in fact we were facing Tiffany's). Bed was of high quality & really comfortable. Our deal included a buffet breakfast & it was […] great with a very big choice...the poached eggs are a must. It was brill value as otherwise costs $29 a head! The staff were so pleasant & helpful. Changed traveller's cheques several times here FOC. That might seem unusual, but a lot of hotels don't have that facility & banks charge around $8 per transaction. Being in the heart of the CBD everything was practically on our doorstep. Tram runs past the hotel & middle of two stops....Elizabeth St 100yds to the right as you leave the hotel. Town Hall stop slightly more to the left. We went left most times as this leads to Swanston St which becomes St Kilda Road with bridge over Yarra River. Several tram lines run down here.Loads of restaurants & gift shops around this area. A couple of hundred yards down Swanston St takes you to Flinders Station on the right & art centre further on, whilst just past that on the left is Federation Square with bars, cafes & large outdoor screen. The Tennis Courts where Australian Open is held are a ten minute walk from there & beyond that MDC. All in all definitely recommend if you want to be in the heart of the action Lees meer

Great hotel staff friendly room clean great views. Breakfast great will recommend to stay there.

My wife and I stay here only for one night but it was a pleasure doing so, the breakfast was great, the service was great and overall just a great night will do again soon.

NIce hotel, television very small need muchbigger but they upgraded me with a room with a bigger tv not good service on channel 10 but I belive they arefixing the problem. I would def stay again.

Nice location, good quality of room and good services. Moderate room price is valuable. But quality of food is poor. 　

upgraded our room to Premium but very disappointed with view. On 14th level and had view of the arcade roof. Swimming pool far too small for size of Hotel. Besides my husband and myself there were 3 others in the pool and we kept running into each other because too cramped. Took 45 minutes to retrieve our car so thought car parking was so very overpriced. […] Could not get all stations on the TV and others were quite blury. Was disappointed there was no bath especially as we upgraded our room. Location was fantastic. For the price we have stayed in a lot more upmarket. Lees meer

We stayed at this hotel with our 4 year old for the Aussie Open tennis. We spent more time at the tennis than the hotel but it was very comfortable for the 3 of us in the room and well located to walk to the tennis. The walk takes 15-20 mins. The location was also good as far it is a short walk to Flinders Train station (5 mins) and less than that to […] great shopping options and restaurants. The restaurants on Southbank are about a 10 min walk. The staff were courteous and helpful during our stay and helped us with our luggage both on our way in and out of room even though we did not ask for it. A staff member stopped what they were doing both times to assist us as we were a little overloaded. The room itself was clean and comfortable even if the television was a little small. Fortunately we were not in our room very much and that didn't matter. All in all this a good hotel and would stay here again. Lees meer

Really good location in the city. Close to train station and trams which makes it easy to get around. Furnishings, linen, decorations are fairly recent and 'newish'. TV is a little old and small.

You had to pay for Internet in your room

Nice hotel, spacious rooms, large pool, perfect location, in house parking. High,y recommendable.

Great hotel overall. I did not like the fact that the room that we got was too dark, as it was facing a shopping mall. Also, for family use, the pool is too cold. But overall, the hotel is in a great location, and service, food and others are nice

Everything about our stay here was excellent. The location is fantastic, the breakfast was to die for and the service faultless. My only complaint was that the beds had very little support and were quite soft and bouncy. My husband and I kept rolling into the middle and due to this we didn't sleep very well. Great service from the staff, especially receptionist and conceirge.

Very nice location and very friendly staff. The room cleaning is not always up to international standard. We had to request for our room to be vacuumed twice. Even though we opted for the sheets not to be changed daily, they could have made the bed nicely...it looked as it was made in a rush.... The bathroom towels are nice big and soft...The first […] room we stayed (719) was a little small but the second one (1113) was better with a bigger bed. If free wifi can be offered, it would be more convenient for my stay in Mel.

Our stay at the Novotel on Collins was fabulous. The location was ideal for access to the wonderful laneways of the Melbourne and the trams and trains. The staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel does not justify its 4.5 star rating. Our room was small for a family of four and the bathroom facilities only included a shower over the bath and fairly ordinary fittings. In addition, the wall mounted TV was quite small which limited the amount of enjoyment from the good selection of movies available on demand. The hotel is very nice with a very friendly and helpful staff, in a great location with shops and restaurants, next to Mall and foodcourt and at a reasonable cost! What more can you ask for?

Our stay was good and bad: It was good because it was very convenient to getting around the city and it was a clean room. The bad was that the room was very noisy, so much so we had to move from the 7th floor to the 10th. But we still heard a bit of noise when we got moved.

Very friendly,helpful service and great location. Bathrooms need an upgrade.shower over bath that leaked.apart from that we were well looked after and service was great.

Brilliant location for Regent Theatre and Shopping. Swimming Pool/Work out area was super! Room was very warm during sleepingt and even though we adjusted the airconditioner, it was still too warm to sleep. Suggest airconditoners may need servicing. I understand the Novotel has a pillow menu which we should have had offered on arrival. The existing […] pillows were not very comfortable...flat feather pillows. Suggest that have a more comfortable/standard pillow in room on arrival. Breakfast options were limited with either a full continental and/or buffet. Buyer beware. A cheap rate means you will get a leaking room with no street view. Will certainly not book this hotel again.

The hotel is located at great location, easy to access everywhere in the downtown. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Room is big. Except the beddings not clean enough and the housekeeping services not really up to standard.

We had a wonderful Easter weekend in Melbourne, starting with the upgrade we received on arrival at the Novotel on Collins. The brand new King room was not only comfortable, but luxurious. The location of the hotel is in the middle of everything and we had only a short walk to great restaurants, the theatre and the best shopping. We will be back!!
