Hotel Majestic in Rome

Had een 1 persoons kamer gebeolt die wel erg klein bleek en bovendien uitzicht had op een blinde muur. A/Cwas zeer gehorig en koelde nauwelijks. Locatie van het hotel echter prima, dichtbij de trevi fontein, spaanse trappen, metro en tal van leuke terasjes nabij de trevi fontein. Staf zeer vriendelijk. Ontbijt buffet netjes met de mogelijkheid om buiten […] op het terras (1e etage) te zitten. Al met al voor een keurig hotel in een grote stad is de prijs/kwaliteit in orde. De service in dit hotel is zeer goed, daarbij is het een prachtig oud pand, wat zeer goed gerestaureerd is. Bij het ontbijt heeft u de keuze om binnen of op het dakterras te eten. Heerlijke bedden!

Het is een prachtig hotel met veel ouderwetse details, zoals een mooi opgeknapte ouderwetse houten lift, houten lambrizeringen, prachtige eetzalen en een heel lekker buitenterras waar je kan ontbijten en dineren. De junior suites die wij hadden waren licht en ruim. Toen we de eerste nacht last bleken te hebben van het straatgeluid heeft men meteen geregeld […] dat wij de volgende nachten een kamer een paar verdiepingen hoger hadden met een raam aan de zijkant en een eigen terras. Als je in de middag aankomt heb je een prachtige wandeling naar de Trevi-fontein en de Spaanse trappen. Een lang weekend is veel te kort om deze stad teontdekken, dus wij komen ongetwijfeld terug. This was our third stay at the Hotel Majestic and I will not hesitate to stay there again. Location is perfect for walking to some of Rome's major attractions. There is a Metro stop just down the street. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Rooms are sparkling clean.

Wonderful hotel, the staff is friendly and helpful. Location is where it should. Close to everything but far from the noise and tourism. We were received with a bottle of Proseco in the room. Recognized as Expedia Elite and offered an upgrade room Wonderful service!

My husband and I stayed at the Majestic for our honeymoon, and it was absolutely fantastic!!! The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. The staff is helpful with everything from finding lost luggage from an airline to planning day trips and coordinating pickup services. I couldn't say enough nice things about this hotel. Just know that this being […] as nice as it is; is also not the cheapest. Food (room service and restaurant) is expensive as is the bar. BUT it's also fantastic food with a fantastic ambiance. Oh and as far as location, you can't get any better! You are are a short walk to the spanish steps and you can puruse the shopping district on your way to the Coliseum. Lovely hotel in excellent location. One block from Piazza Barberini - Metro station, tour bus pick-up/drop-off spot - short walk to Spanish steps, shopping. A number of terrific small restaurants between the hotel and Barberini featuring sea food and Roman specialties like saltimboca. This Hotel is well situated. Close to 2 Metro stops and within walking distance of all major attractions. The street is quiet and there are many restaurants to chose from, all within meters of the Hotel entrance. The staff at this Hotel were extremely helpful, courteous and polite, and I would recommend a stay here to everyone. We had allowed 4 days […] to see all the major sites via walking, but found we had achieved this within 2 days, because of the Hotel's proximity. This left us with a whole day to enjoy shopping and another day to enjoy the atmosphere of daily life and wander through Roma's beautiful gardens, and the Hotel's is also close to these areas. The hotel is great and in a very nice part of Rome. Our only complaint was our room smelled of smoke, although it was a non-smoking room. The restaurant in the hotel is 5 star!

Majestic looks like a hotel in the process of being restored to its former glory. Initial reaction in the lobby was "Uh Oh", but friendliness of the staff and quality of the room won us over. There is something missing from this property for the vacation traveller. It is cold and distant perhaps more suitable to the business traveller. The building and its history are perhaps a part of the as it is all too austere for my taste. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The night staff not so much. But we loved the old world charm and the wonderfully restored areas of the hotel. This is a wonderful place to stay in Rome. I wanted to stay at the Hotel Raphael, but stayed here instead. We highly recommend it.

Rome is a beautiful place and we have decided to go back every year for our anniversary. The sights are wonderful and the Majestic Hotel will see us again. One highlight of our trip was being let into La Ninfa bar under Hotel Majestic (which is soon to be replaced). A place where Frank Sinatra, and hundreds of stars have their signed pictures on the […] wall from staying in the Majestic. On a wide street in a nice part of Rome and within easy walking distance of most major sights (we took taxi to Vatican and Olympico Stadium otherwise we walked everywhere else). The staff on the desk were most helpful. The rooms were comfortable with all the amenities one expects from a 'good' hotel. Breakfast was excellent with lots of variety.

We just returned from a week at the Hotel Majestic in Rome. We have never encountered in all of our years a friendlier, more helpful, or more professional staff in any other hotel. We tossed our books and relied on them entirely for recommendations for restaurants, etc. We were not disappointed in anything. To say that the hotel is convenienty located […] is an understatement. This is an older, absolutely charming hotel that has retained all of its elegance. If you are looking for glitz and glass elevators, this is not the place. Stayed for three nights on a Romantic break... Superb location within walking distance of everywhere you would want to see in Rome.
