Omni Los Angeles Hotel at California Plaza in Los Angeles

Het betreft een voor ons tot voor kort onbekende hotelketen, welke wij zeer zeker nog eens zullen aandoen. Het hotel ligt in het financiele gedeelte van de stad. De overige stadsdelen zijn goed te bereiken via de diverse Highways, alswel de Boulevards. ij hebben geen gebruik gemaakt van het restaurant, aangezien we voortudrend onderweg waren en er in […] LA meer dan genoeg mogelijkheden zijn om te eten. Het zwembad ligt na 16.00 uur enigszins in de schaduw, het blijft echter wel aangenaam warm. Het hotel is zowel zakelijk als prive een aanbeveler en een goede uitvalsbasis, Prijs/kwaliteitverhouding is prima. Enig nadeel: het parkeren bij het hotel is erg kostbaar. Heel goed hotel. Lekker bed ook! Alleen nogal duur voor wat betreft het ontbijt.

Het Hotel was boven verwachting goed: prima service, goed verzorgde ruimtes, vriendelijke en correcte medewerkers, ruim voldoende extra faciliteiten zoals fitness ruimte, zwembad, hotel bar, koffie bar, verschillende restaurant ruimtes. I booked this hotel for five nights at the beginning of our trip to the USA, and then 1 night before we left. Serive at this hotel could not be faulted. All the staff were friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The rooms were spacious and clean, all the amenities that you'd expect was there. Location […] wise, it was literally across the road from the Disney Concert Hall, and a convience store was very close by. Unfortunately, as this hotel is in the Downtown LA area, it's probably more suited to business travel if you don't have a car. Having said that though, they do have a free hotel shuttle that will take you around, and there is a metro stop close by. Will defintately stay there again if we ever go back to LA Lees meer

We enjoyed the staff, indoors and outside. The food and comfort was wonderful.

Hotel was great for our purpose, being close to Downtown La and the Staples centre. The hotel is much nicer on the inside than the outside, staff goes out of their way and nothing is a problem. Very nice stay, recommend.

Clean and comfortable. Excellent service as always; everyone I dealt with was very helpful. The town car service in particular is a real plus.

The best - I've stayed all over the world in all kinds of hotels and this was by far the best in every way. Beautiful rooms, generous service, free use of the hotel car. Most luxury hotels nickel and dime you with the extras - here everything from a requested room refrigerator to free limo service within 3 miles of the hotel is gratis. Absolutely no […] complaints. The hotel is in the downtown area and so there's nothing around the area in the evening. There are no parking options other than valet parking so I thought $40 weekday rate was too steep. Waay too steep. You do have the unlimited in/out privileges but that means a few bucks each time you drop the car off and again a few bucks when you pick up the car […] so I end up spending another $50 each day on parking and tip. I think you should take that in to consideration. The only restaurant choice for dinner is Noe restaurant located inside the hotel and the food is good. It is Japanese fusion, expensive, and the portions are small. The portions are so small you walk away hungry unless you order several courses. The service was good and the food is tasty but I wasn't happy about eating there for two nights in a row. Our dinner for two came out to $90 and we don't drink. We also ate breakfast in their cafe. We came so late in the morning that the place was pretty empty and the wait staff was changing the table setting for lunch. In fact, one waiter was setting up the table right next to us. He was shaking and snapping the table cloth next to us, bebind us, all around us, sending puff of dust all around our food. Enough to settle white lint on my black pants. When I mentioned it to our waiter, he offered us 15% off of our check which was a nice gesture but i would have appreciated a dust free food over 15% any day. We were almost finished with breakfast anyways...The room was nice, clean, no frills. Bring bottled water with you, the ones in the room will cost you $6 a pop! There is no gift shop open late. The rooms are ok, the baths are kind of dated and in need of maintenance (to make them cleaner and nicer). The swimming pool is TINY and not too clean. The real problem for me was the fact that the room was DUSTY. Dust on windows, carpets, furniture, you named. The room was never vacuumed nor dusted (and I am pretty sure that was the case well before […] we stayed there), so if you and your son are prone to dust allergies you will leave a NIGHTMARE. We stay at the hotel for the convenience of going to the entertainment center. We LOVED it. We will stay at the hotel chain again in the future.

If you are in LA for the WD Concert Hall, Dorothy Chandler or MOCA this is the perfect locatin.

Never fails to be a pleasant experience. Always my first choice and a disappointment when it is unavailable. Good restaurant, downtown location, and great accommodations.

First night, loud and rowdy people next door, second night, starting at 2 am, they started moving furniture on the second floor- restaraunts and lbar area. When we called to complain, we got no acknowledgement of such a thing. It continued for hours. We stayed here for 3nights -short vacation-standard of the hotel is very high,generally could not fault it in any way,the metro is close,and used it to visit Universal studios and Hollywood on the red line. This hotel is a business hotel,the only drawback is the hill up from the metro station and downtown. Would stay here again.

This hotel is the most incredible hotel and the only one that I stay at when I go LA. The hotel is beautiful and immaculate. The staff are welcoming by far the most accommodating out of any hotel I have stayed at. I travel a lot and stay at a lot of hotels, but the Omni is my favorite hotel. Everyone has one and I'm sure it will be yours too!

I booked the hotel as part of our vacation to LA and San Diego. What a terrific hotel. The hotel is kept Immaculately clean and in a nice part downtown LA near the Walt Disney Symphony. I recommend this hotel if you have children. My 11 and 7 year olds enjoyed the in room cookies and milk before bed that was sent over without us asking. The hotels greatest […] strength is the customer service. They even offer a complementary car service that takes you back and forth to downtown spots such as the Staples Center and La Live. What more can I say? The restaurant (Noe) is not the best, but with so many good restaurants in the area, from joints to mid-range and high end, it just doesn't matter.

Very disappointed..for this to be a 4star hotel the amenities very poor and parking fee was outrageous.

Although it is up the hill a bit (by the courthouse), this is by far the best option for staying in downtown LA. Beautiful hotel, comfortable, contemporary and modern rooms, staff unbelievably helpful. I have stayed at a few of the other downtown LA hotels and this one is head and shoulders above the others.

I have stayed at The Omni in San Diego and it is far superior to this LA location. I'll break it down for you in a list of pro's and con's. Pros's: Quiet Clean complimenatry apps, cocktails and breakfast on the Club Level. Well located for downtown good views Con's No vanity in any room. If someone is getting ready in the bathroom there is no place […] to get ready outside of the bathroom. No mirrors. The pool was closed and had no water in it No hot tub No pool bar I masseuse in the spa but no spa ammenities like steam, sauna, showers. The room was 280 square feet not 400 + as advertised for club level. Parking is $40 during the week and $20 on the weekends. shower knobs were on backwards. Car service was very inconvienent. We were dropped off 3 blocks from our location and had to wait a half hour to be picked up. Hands down the best hotel in downtown LA is the Ritz- J/W Marriot at LA Live. My husband and I had to go to L.A. for a couple of days and chose to stay at the Omni Hotel for the first time. The staff was very friendly and courteous, the bar/restaurant were gorgeous (beautiful courtyard off the bar), the bed was comfortable, and we were pleased that the room had a large flat-panel TV with a good picture. At least at the special rate we were able to get, this hotel was great value for money. Our surprisingly spacious corner room overlooked the Museum of Contemporary Art, and we were within a very short walk of the Disney/Dorothy Chandler/Mark Taper complex; a few very good restaurants; and historic downtown. Stayed here many times, and it is a very nice hotel in a great location. But as always, if you have to order from room service, prepare for it to be messed up. Has happened three times in three years. This year, it was only 90 minutes to get it...two calls in which the reaction was a panicked "oh...right!".

Lovely room....really enjoyed "Angel Flight" from the subway to the hotel!

When I was staying at the Omni, I broke my foot while at a restaurant outside the hotel. When I arrived back at the hotel with crutches, the bellmen were wonderful, and pulled out a wheelchair that they have available for guests. They let me keep the wheelchair until I checked out the next day, with no charge. Also, the car service was wonderful.
