Americas Best Value Inn in Austin

In eerste instantie was het moeilijk te vinden. Maar het hotel was prima. Netjes en schoon. Ligt aan een paralelweg naar het centrum van Austin waar wij moesten zijn. Wanneer je 1 weg verder paralel neemt kom je precies in downtown uit en heb je niets met het drukke verkeer te doen.

On driving it up to the hotel it looked a bit shady, with some jokers drinking in the car park. But the room was great, nice and clean and worth the money. Obviously its not in central Austin so if you want to go drinking the cabs gonna cost you. Overall though no complaints

The staff were unprofessional (talking on phone, friends/family at counter with small children running around) but friendly. A lot of the occupants looked like strippers or drug dealers, but police patrolled frequently so it never actually felt dangerous. Not fancy by any means, but not gross either. Stayed here for two weeks on a recent trip for work-related reasons. Pros - Comfy, spacious room, decent breakfast, bus stop only a couple of minutes away and very helpful staff. Cons - Wifi isn't great, not great accessibility if you are not driving, nothing much to do in surrounding area. This was the cleanest motel room I've ever slept in. Bathroom was sparkling clean, bedding was clean and the bed was comfortable!! We had a hard time finding the motel--not your fault--big cities are just difficult! The breakfast room was very clean and the food was good. Everyone we met was courteous. It is top rate. Thanks!!

I found it very interesting when I was first looking at staying at this hotel that they were charging exra for my children ages 14 and 10. This trip would have included me, my husband, and my two children but they wanted to charge over $20.00 extra because of their age. worst experience ever..seriously do not stay here

The front desk staff were wonderful, very accomodating, and even though my non-smoking room was clean, it still smelled of old cigarettes and mildew. The hotel is in awful condition and located UNDER the overpass at IH35 and 290W. Apparently there's a hip-hop party in the parking lot every night (it is Austin, after all) but the ancient AC unit in my […] room was so loud it drowned out the bass from the car speakers. the soap was horrible

The outside of the hotel leaves a lot to be desired when you are pulling up in the parking lot. We were concerned with our choice based on this. However, the inside of the room was pretty clean and much better maintained. The shower was Awesome as there is plenty of pressure and you don't have to run around in the shower to get wet. we chose this hotel as to convenience to Seton Hospital. Overall good stay experience nice breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable beds

Our stay at this hotel was extremely bad. The hotel is so old that the carpet looked like it had blood stains on it and the towels were paper thin. There was hair on our sheets and the walls were so thin that we could hear the conversation in the next room. The room had a lot of amenities: mini-fridge, microwave, ironing board, ect. Overall it was a good deal for the price. The motel is a bit old but in a fairly convenient location and at a reasonable price. Service was friendly.

I was only sleeping there, so it wasn't a main focus of my stay. The bed was cheap and uncomfortable. Hurt my back after two nights. Overall, clean, fairly quiet. For the price, I'd consider it again.

We arrived and there was no toilet paper. The bathroom was nasty, clean towels but dirty commode andshower. Microwave had nasty brown stuff dripping down the front. I spend one night during a conference. It was convenient to my event, but the neighborhood was a little sketchy. I found myself looking over my shoulder while coming and going. Other than that everything was very pleasant. Especially the staff...very personable.

Hotel employees were very friendly. Breakfast choices consisted cereal, muffins, waffles, juice, milk and coffee. We skipped the IHOP by the hotel as well, it was packed. Overall, not bad for the price. We would stay again if we are in that part of town.

I hardly slept... people clomping in high heeled shoes on the walk ways resonating like they were coming through the room I was in. Not restful at all.

Great location to downtown, price is right, and room is big.

Nice place, clean room, good staff. Will be staying here again.

This was my 2nd time to stay at this location for a convention at the downtown convention center. My reason for picking it? Price. Hands down. Most reasonable place, even though I stayed closer the year before. I'm well aware the neighborhood isn't the best... but... it was pretty quiet for the 3 nights I stayed there. Very nice! Very comfy room. My […] 1st visit here wasn't that nice. So... I was pleasantly surprised. The lady at the desk was friendly and accommodating. Quite the change from my 1st time, again. I was amazed to se they had converted one room (south end) to a fitness room. Ok... not LifeTime fitness... but did have 3 decent machines to exercise on. Final plus for me? It was just around the corner from the shuttle that took me to the convention. So... for what I needed... it definitely did the job. Will I be back next year? never go there!!! not only was my room dirty, but I had to call the police because of people staying next to us were being loud. My children and I did not sleep at all!!

way too much noise from a party

Only 2 problems with our stay, but big ones. First off, its very noisey. We could hear people talking outside and next door. 2nd problem, around 8am, 2 male hotel workers (I hope) try to open our door. They had a key, but the bar lock stopped them. Pay the extra few bucks and stay at a nice place.

I found this hotel to be perfect for the price and in a fine location. It isn't the Ritz, but it doesn't pretend to be, either. But it is clean and welcoming, which is all it needs to be.

Our house lost running water over the week-end so we needed a place that had functioning plumbing. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the heating worked, the water was hot, the place was not noisy, and the rate was great. The staff was curtious and the breakfast was good. What more can you ask for in a budget hotel/motel?

Hotel staff is nice. The rooms are nice and clean but there is only so much you can do in older hotels. The beds are not comfortable and the bathroom is tiny. If you need a cheap place to stay overnight then its not too bad.

Room had not been vacuumed. Had trash on floor.

Was very happy with my stay here. I was given a room on the 1rst level so parking was very convenient. The room was large and had fridge and microwave. The continental breakfast had a wide variety of choices. All very good. I would stay here again if I was in the area,

I didn't realize until I got there that I had stayed at this hotel two years ago. It is a good value for the money, and keep in mind that this place is 1974 at its best. All of the hotels in this area were built like 30 years ago so they have aged a bit. I love going there and it is super convenient. Clean enough and nice beds.
