Hotel Victoria in Toronto

Niet de meest gunstige kamer getroffen. Uitzicht op een blinde muur van +/- 30 m. hoog, zodat er weinig licht, en zelfs helemaal geen direct zonlicht, de kamer binnen kwam. Hotel ligt gunstig aan Yonge Street, dicht bij Toronto Downtown, het Eaton Centre, de CN Tower en Harbourfront. Vlakbij is een metrostation. Nadeel is het ontbreken van eigen parkeerruimte, […] dat moet enkele straten verderop in een gemeentelijke parkeergarage, met overigens zeer redelijke tarieven. Is met name lastig bij in- en uitladen van de bagage. Dat kan voor de deur van het hotel, maar moet snel gedaan worden i.v.m. het geldende parkeerverbod op die plek, waarop streng gecontroleerd wordt. Lees meer

Voor een city trip dit hotel geboekt. De ligging is goed ten opzichte van winkels, restaurants en metro. Het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De kamers zijn keurig en onze kamer was kort geleden opgeknapt. Ik zou dit hotel aanraden aan familie en vrienden.

I arrived before the check-in time and the room was ready. I was allowed to check-in and go to my meetings. That was gratefully appreciated. The room was very clean and comfortably. A restaurant on the premise was also convient. Thank you!!

An excellet location to be downtown TO, however dont expect a view, it is of a brick wall, but that prob happens at alot of buildings that are so close together. walking distance to everything we wanted to go to ACC, Eaton Centre, HHOF. great breakfast cafe located in building.

Hotel was great. Service was great. However, our room fronted Yonge street and it was unbelievably loud in the moring... Traffic, sirens, and a freakin jackhammer right out front. Older building I suppose is the reason for being less sound resistant.

Room was a tad small.....much like A New York hotel but spiffy clean with a great bed. Location was downtown Central with Subway on doorstep. A great breakfast Cafe in Lobby. We will return!

I recently stayed at this hotel and was very satisfied with the level of customer service I was given, as well as its comfort and access to down town Toronto! The Hotel Victoria is a wonderful hotel. Apparently, its the 2nd oldest hotel in Toronto, but it's definitely been up-dated. The staff is very friendly and helpful with any needs and questions. The elevator is slow, gets stuck and there's only one in the entire building. It mires the entire hotel experience. I'd steer clear if you have a choice.

The hotel was right in the middle of everything we wanted to do which was great and why I chose it. The woman at the front desk was friendly and very professional. The room itself was clean but old and very small. I was disappointed that it wasn't anything like the picture that represented a standard room on the website.

Great price at a wonderful location. A few block walk from all the major attractions in Toronto. Recently reno'ed, the rooms are neat. This small hotel has some history as well. This is the idealistic hotel that I'm always looking for and have finally found. I'm a resident of Toronto but needed a hotel to stay overnight at while I party away downtown. There's no designated hotel parking but there's several other public parking garages close by within extremely short walking distance. The front desk was extremely friendly and […] courteous to my boyfriend and I. The hotel room is moderately sized, nothing too big or extravagant. The decor & furniture is contemporary with accents of green. The wooden floors are so warm to the touch, a nice change from carpeted floors. The washroom was new and sparkling (wow, I've never seen such a clean tub, no joke). There's free wi-fi for hotel guests and every hotel room has an iphone/ipod dock which is awesome. This is absolutely my first choice in hotels from now on in Toronto. Lees meer

I always wanted to check this place out and I have to say, it was pretty good. We went for a weekend out in the Toronto and it's walking distance to everywhere. Modern decor and nice reception area. LOVED the shower head in the bathroom. We've been to a few hotels all over and this is probably one of the best showers we've had at a hotel. :P For parking […] on weekend, definitely park underground off of Wellington. After 6pm it's $5! If you are in the area, definitely don't neglect to walk (5min) to St. Lawrence Market on the weekend or take a 10min walk down to the waterfront. Rooms were smallish but well appointed and very clean. Comfortable beds. Please note, they do take a copy of your credit card but I think for a smaller establishment that is normal. the renovated Hotel Victoria is delightful. Great location, very reasonable rates, accommodation was fine and bed was very comfortable. As well, it is so handy to everything in downtown Toronto, including transportation, restaurants, theatres and shopping - what more could you ask.

A great choice in downtown Toronto, especially if you arrive by train since it is close to Union Station. We were very pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and all of the amenities (except the towels, a little thin) were as stated on the hotel website. There is a breakfast cafe off the lobby which served a well priced selection.

I chose the Hotel Victoria because it was close to my conference hotel and a lot less expensive. It worked great for me, since I just needed a place to do a little work, shower, and sleep. The room was clean and quiet, the shower was good, the flatscreen TV was big, and I appreciated the free wifi. The bed was comfy and a separate heating unit kept […] the cold out. So, as I think about it, I guess it was pretty great. I will say that my room was small, good enough for one person but would have been close quarters for two. Small rooms and limited amenities but the rooms are extremely nice, the location is prime time and the price is a steal.

The room I stayed in was very cold. It seemed as if a draft was coming in through a window, and there was no obvious way to turn the heating on. The hotel is supposedly renovated, and whilst the rooms are nicely furnished, the corridors and other amenities are looking a bit tired and dated.

Room doors make loud bang when shutting close. Super annoying when trying to sleep....and all you hear are people going in and out of their suites. Please fix. Other then that, great!

Hotel is in a pretty central downtown location, and the wi-fi is nice if you need to stay in touch. Bathroom is clean, although a little small. Possibly good for touristing, not so good for business. Which brings me to my next point -- the room is tiny in general. The bed took up most of the room, which is not so bad if you are just one person, but […] I can't imagine staying here if you are more than one (or two small people) and actually spending time in the room. The room had two windows, but they both faced walls, so there was very little natural light in there. Additionally, climate control was pretty ancient. The radiators are old which makes the air EXTREMELY dry and difficult to sleep. The room very quickly gets cold when its turned off. Another gripe, which is if you plan to use a car in Toronto, is that there is no on-site parking and the location of the hotel is not most convenient for driving around. If you plan to do some driving around the area, do not stay there. Overall a mediocre experience. I might consider staying here for sightseeing, but definitely not if I need a good night's sleep. Great place to stay. Staff at front desk were very friendly and helpful. Given and maps and directions for cheaper parking within reasonable walking distance. Brief walk to lots of local eateries and the Eaton Center. reasonable rates as well as an updated, modern rooms. I would stay again!

Location is great! We probably stayed in the smallest room, so keep that in mind with this review. Our room was on the second floor and faced the street. VERY noisy. Thankfully we did have an airconditioner that was VERY loud itself - actually helped us sleep. It got very cool in the room, so that was a plus as well. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. […] The wallpaper is peeling everywhere in the bathroom - completely torn in other places. The restaurant was very good for breakfast although a tad pricey. Everything was great except that the shower faucet was brokenébreaking and the air conditioner was very, very loud till it was somewhat repaired. Otherwise, everything was great and staff courteous.

Great location. Very nice room. Nice Staff. Will stay there again.

Highly recommend this hotel! Very clean. Easily accessible to all Yonge St attractions. Great restaurant located on site. Rooms very clean/modern decor. Parking is off-site, a bit apprehensive about this feature, however it wasn't that bad.

Close, easy to get around town. Clean modern rooms.

This hotel is very nicely furnished throughout. Our first room, however, was located on a light well and was quite dark. In fact, only two rooms per floor (out of 6 or so) face the street. The staff was quite cooperative in moving us to a street-side room after the first night. This resulted in a very enjoyable stay.

The main plus of this hotel is its location, in downtowon Toronto for a great rate. The room was a litlle bit smaller than I expected, but nevertheless clean, and comfortable. This hotel is ideal if you come to Toronto for shopping or going to theatre. Only disadvantage is that they don't have parking garage in the hotel, but they gave us a great recommendation […] for a nearby parking lot at a great rate. Lees meer

The room is basically clean and well-organized. But bathing materials are not changed new everyday. Bed mattress is super soft, unbearable. I just sleep on the floor instead of in bed. Quiet, good temperature, but easy to get noice from out of door, though I don't very much care. Not bright, space is also limited, not good for lots of luggages. Charge […] for local phones. Hotel Victoria looked beautiful on the surface but was a little dirty on closer inspection. The room wasn't grosse by any means but the duvet was not covered by a duvet cover and had stains on it. The sheer blinds also had marks on it which was a little grosse. The location of the hotel was also slightly more of a pain than I had hoped. We usually prefer […] to shop around Kensington Market/Chinatown area and the walk south if we feel like it instead of walking up every day. If you like the south side of the city however, and sort of in the middle of queen and the water then its fine. Over all it wasn't a bad hotel, just not what we were hoping for. Lees meer

Beautiful hotel, but the bed was extremely uncomfortable and the level of customer service was iffy. I'm not upset that we stayed here, but I wouldn't stay here again.

Only spent one night here,but its location allowedd us to see several key aspects of Toronto

Great location on Yonge street near Hockey hall of fame. The room was very small but tidy and fresh. Parking, however, is tricky. There is parking lots nearby but very expensive. We found cheap parking a 30 minute walk from the hotel by using "Toronto Parking" app for Android.

really comfortable beds and helpful concierges! Close to the subway which was good. No washing machines - you either have to dryclean your clothes, or walk a long way to find a coin operated laundromat

Stay here every time I come to Toronto. Recent renovation is a great upgrade.

I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling for either business or pleasure. Excellent value and upscale decor.
