Hecker's Hotel - Kurfuerstendamm in Berlijn

Mooi hotel met erg grote kamers. Helaas werkte WIFI niet en was internet op de pc daar (te) traag. Verder ligt het hotel ideaal van het centrum, metro e.d.

A hotel that matched its descriptions, good location, good service, clean and tidy. Very large room with a 'walk in' war robe. Very pleased with this hotel.

The staff is great. The rooms are spacious for Europe and very clean. 16 Euros per person for breakfast is way to much considering you can go around the corner and have a very nice breakfast for 8 or 9 Euros. The Latin bar across the street has to be the worst place in Berlin. At 9:45 we were told they were closing at 10 so we went somewhere else and […] at Midnight we noticed they were packed. I guess they don't like Westerners. In my opinion this has to be the best Hotel for the price in all of Berlin. Very close to all public transportation and shopping. A must stay Hotel!!! Lees meer

Stayed here for 5 days on a break in Berlin. Location is very good - about 100m from Uhlandstrasse U-bahn station and therefore 100m from the Ku-damm. Rooms are a bit of a mix of traditional and modern accents but everything is clean, and nothing seemed old or worn. I chose this hotel because I didn't want to spend so much at the moment, and was pleasantly […] surprised with what I got for the money. For less than the average for the area, you get a nice clean double room with comfortable bed, plasma TV, in-room WLAN and a safe that will take a (small) laptop. Note on the WLAN: it's a slightly strange system in that you have to ask Reception for the WEP key, and also a separate username and password. Remember to ask at check-in to save time. Access is good, fast, and included at least for some room types (Maybe business rooms only - I recommend checking if that's important to you) Staff were very pleasant and helpful. This hotel was very central to all the must see sights,also in the centre of all the shopping streets.The only fault with the hotel is that there was no air conditioning in the room & a bit noisey at night if we left the window open.. didnt have breakfast but plenty of restaurants nearby.. would recommend this hotel

Staying at Hecker's added to the pleasure of our trip to Berlin. Just steps from the Kudam, it is conveniently located to numerous fun restaurants and the street scene around Savignyplatz. Staff were very nice and helpful. The large room was light and airy and had a small kitchen hidden behind closet doors!!

The hotel was in a brilliant location in the Ku'damm right near to the centre and to accessible public transport Ubahn etc. The hotel lobby was very dark and uninviting, with concrete grey walls and dimmed lighting. The breakfast area was dull. However, the room was a huge size, with a small walk in wardrobe and a nice bathroom. The carpet could have […] been replaced by a newer version, given it is supposed to be a 4* hotel, and there were no tea/coffee making facilities which would've been nice. The beds were comfortable, but we found remants of previous guests' under our bed; a tissue and a deodorant, so wondered about the cleaning ethic. Also, our toilet leaked but was promptly fixed when we reported it. Next door was a brilliant restaurant, which is a must-eat location, everything exquisite! We spent 3 nights at Hecker's. Our room was huge, comfortable bed, alrge bathroom and was very clean. The location is good - close to train stations and of transport options to explore the city. We ate breakfast at a nearby cafe rather than the hotel, as we were on a budget. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again without any hesita […] tion. Lees meer

Really nice hotel. Smart, clean and a spacious room. Great location too. Two problems though; the first, the old 'double bed actually two single beds pushed together' problem that, frankly, I'm fed up of. Secondly, and this would onlt be an issue if, as during our stay, the weather is hot, is that there was no air-conditioning in the room. Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel,it was in a great location right beside the signy platz S-Bahn that leads to all the great sights,would recommend this hotel to anyone!

I stayed there with my daughter and while the location is excellent, I woke up each morning with a dead arm as the bed is very hard and the pillows very uncomfortable. The hotel needs refurbishment and is quite basic.

Overall a good hotel and a great location for exploring Berlin.

The hotel is in a great location - a few hundred meters from the U-Bahn line and on the main shopping street. The neighbourhood did not have many bars / pubs for an evening drink but it did have a variety of restaurants in the area. You could easily walk to the shops and the Berlin Zoo - and the busses from here will take you all over the city. The […] hotel had 2 double beds pushed together - rather than one large bed. Not ideal if you wish to sleep in the middle of the bed. Housekeeping arrived at 8am - while we were still sleeping - not appropriate. (and returned at 9am) keen to maintain cleanliness - but not that early when you are on holiday. Outstanding experience. Clean, convenient, good breakfast included, internet connection, helpful staff. This is a real bargain.

The hotel location is perfect if you want to be on Berlin's main shopping street. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. The only problem I had was the large pillows, which you have to experience to understand. I would definitely stay here again.

We were very pleased with our stay at the hotel. The location was close to public transportation, restaurants, and shopping. Our room was very clean, and had a great updated bathroom. It was huge, as well. However, the furnishings looked like they were about 10 years old. So if you care about appearances, it may bother you, but we thought it was just […] fine. The best part of the hotel was the service, and the hotel employees went above and beyond when we were having trouble connecting to their free wireless. Overall, a great value. Lees meer

No complaints at all. Berlin is evolving into many town centers-Alexanderplatz, Friedrich Strasse etc. Hotels.com should declare the breakfast situation; in the hotel would have been almost 20 Euro per person. Better deals for less than 5 Euro were available nearby. Street side can be noisy!

We stayed in an economy double room. The booking in process was swift and the reception staff were keen to explain local attractions and gave us a free map of our location in relation to them etc. The hotel looked very cool and modern in reception, which is directly next to the bar. The rooms really are massive, much bigger than more expensive hotels […] we've stayed in. The bathrooms are nice and you get a few toiletries including mouthwash. The walk in wardrobe is good and spacious, it also contained the minibar and a large sink. Our room was at the front of the hotel and we had read reviews of a lot of noise from the streets. It was a bit warm (no a/c) so we left the windows open. There wasnt a great deal of noise and certainly not enough to disturb you. Our stay was mid-week though so maybe it would be worse on a weekend. The room was cleaned, sheets changed and generally tidied every day which was good. We didnt really use the hotels own facilities. We had a look at the roof terrace which seemed nice and you could order drinks from the bar on a phone up there. We didnt have breakfast at the hotel but it looked quite good when we saw it on. We never saw anyone at all in the bar other than for breakfast but then we didnt spend a lot of time at the hotel. Overall i would say its an excellent place to stay but i would have felt dissappointed if i had paid the full rate as quoted on the price boards in the rooms as opposed to the discounted rate we got. This was the second time staying at the hotel, both times the staff could not be more helfpul, and the rooms more comfortable. The problem with the hotel, if you get a room facing the front, is that is extremely noisy- from the street, motorcycles, and cars. I would think twice to stay there again.

Gut gelegen, nahe bei der Ubahnststion Uhlandstrasse. Etwas lärmig. Sehr schönes Frühstücksbuffet.

Lidt ældre hotel, uden fitness center - de samarbejder med et fitness center 30 min fra hotellet. Baren er dødsyg og menneskeforladt - det er mere en del af receptionen end en bar.

Bra plassering. 100m fra U-bahn, 5 min fra S-Bahn. Midt blandt merkebutikkene i Kurfuerstendam. kort vei til KHDW. Lett å komme rundt i byen med U/S-bahn. Store rom. Vi hadde sittegruppe + te-kjøkken. Litt gammelt, men rent og pent.

Pent nok (om enn litt utdatert interiør her og der) hotell med normalt bra servicenivå. Vi fikk et stort komfortabelt rom til en OK pris. Walk-in wardrobe, safe, TV og kjøleskap/minibar. Rommet virket rent og fresht, men housekeeping-personalet gjorde noen pussige ting, som å glemme å fylle på med dopapir, henge opp håndklærne vi hadde brukt en gang […] som om de var nye, og ikke vaske glassene vi hadde brukt på rommet... men ingen store problemer:) Hotellet ligger rett ved vest-Berlins største handlegate, midt mellom luksuskvartalet og high-street-butikkene, og i gangavstand til KaDeWe kjøpesenteret. Kort til T-bane på Savignyplatz og Uhlandsstr. Den italienske restauranten i første etasje (vegg i vegg med lobbyen) var hyggelig og hadde god mat. Die Lage des Hotels ist einfach super. 1 Minute zur Ubahn und Ku'damm und 3 min zum Savignyplatz. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß.

Hotellet var fint og rommet likeså, moderne bad. Hyggelig service med tysk avis levert på døra hver morgen. Hvis internasjone aviser ønskes er disse tilgjengelige i resepsjonen fra kl 08. Be også om å få koden til det trådløse nettet de har. Den vil være gyldig i 72 timer. Det er også verdt å merke seg at det er minimalt med støy, noe som sikrer en […] god natts søvn. Hotellets beliggenhet er rett ved shoppinggata Kurfürstendamm som er kjent for mange eksklusive butikker. Avstanden til nærmeste U-bahn Uhlandsstrasse er 1-2 min. Dette er endestasjonen til U1 og det er enkelt å komme seg til og fra sentrum. Jeg kan absolutt anbefale hotellet og kommer nok til å velge det neste gang jeg er i Berlin. Lees meer

Hotellet har super beliggenhed og værelserne er meget store. Vil absolut bruge samme hotel næste gang jeg besøger Berlin.

Hotellet låg perfekt till, men det var lite slitet. Heltäckningsmatta är lite ofräscht. Rummet var dock rymligt och personalen hjälpsam. Centralt beläget. Rekommenderas att äta frukost ute (testade inte hotellets, men 16 euro/p är lite i mesta laget). Många prisvärda alternativ i närområdet. Badrummet var litet men snyggt.

Centralt beliggende hotel med parkerinsplads gør Hecker's Hotel til et godt valg for en Berlin-tur.

Høj standard, meget store værelser, fin rengøring - vil klart anbefale hotellet til andre - beliggenheden er fin hvis man synes om Ku-Dam-området - tæt på U-Bah
