Rivers Edge Resort in Fairbanks

Leuke huisjes, voorzien van alle comfort. Niet in het centrum van Fairbanks, maar aan een rivier waar we een grote bever zagen zwemmen. Service uitstekend. Handig: achter de receptie staat een Nederlandse. Het bijbehorende restaurant levert uitstekende kwaliteit en is prachtig gelegen.

The cottages at Rivers Edge were so cute and quaint. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and were always available when we needed them. The only thing I really had a problem was, and it was a small problem, is that the freeway and airport were right by the cottages so there was some airplane and car noise in the evenings. My stay at Rivers Edge Fairbanks was one of the high-lights of my trip to Alaska. Friendly, affortable, Wonderful restaurant. Helpful staff. Internet was a little scetchy. location was great. If your heading to fairbanks i would recomend checking out Rivers Edge resort.

Enjoyed hotel that is an Alaska Cottage. Very quite and roomy compared to standard hotel rooms with no 2nd and 3rd floors. Rivers Edge is near the paddle wheel tourist boats and Pioneer Park . River has walk way for some beautiful river scenes.

Comfortable and quiet. Overnight stay for connecting flight. Convenient to airport. Extremely expensive.

Great location close to sights and riverboat tours. Chena restaurant fantastic adjacent to hotel on river. Breakfast at the hotel ok but nothing special. Cottages have patios, flowers, just wonderful!

Liked everything about the cottage ... except for noisy neighbors who stayed up and yakked outside until 130 or 2 am each night. Would have liked a noise curfew as some hotels have. ALSO fitted bottom sheets would have made the beds much more comfortable!

This is a basic good value hotel. We would stay here again. The wifi had issues, but when you are in fairbanks to see the sights you don't necessarily need fast wifi. Staff was very helpful. Beds were kinda bumpy, but fine for two nights.

We had three cabins none of which was at the river's edge or even within the rivers view.The RV park is nice, but not the view I had imagined.Overall, still a good place to stay.

We loved our visit. It is all individual cabins and although we weren't lucky enough to have a room on the river it was so comfortable. Even was able to have a microwave and refrig put in our room so we were able to enjoy dinner on our patio, and breakfast in our room. We look forward to staying there again.

Hotel had very effective and timely pick-up and shuttle service. Good breakfast selections. Excellent base of operations for touring the area and for preparing our truck for the long drive back to California.

Cute little "cabin". It was nice to have the choice between a ceiling fan or a/c, since the a/c unit was a noisy thru the wall unit. The staff did a great job of having the crib in the room and set up so no hassles getting straight to bed after a long days drive. The Breakfast Buffet offered in the hotel was a little over priced, but not too out of […] place for what you typically see in Fairbanks. Great place to stay. Clean and friendly. We would definitely stay here again if we ever make it back to Fairbanks.

The only thing we did not like is there was no microwave or refrigerator in the cabin other than that it was very nice and would recommend it to our friends

The hanging baskets were beautiful! I had read this in other reviews and thought it odd that was what people commented on - but figured it out when I got there - very beautiful. I really didn't spend much time at the hotel - used it to sleep mostly - was disappointed the wireless connection wasn't working.

We only spent one night in Fairbanks, but we were glad that we could spend it in our own cabin right on the river. We will always have a warm memory of the time we spent there. We also enjoyed the salmon we had at the restaurant.

We were pleasantly suprised by the hotel accomodations. The cottages were clean and well maintained. We especially liked the privacy afforded by the "cottage-style" accomodations. Hotel staff were very helpful and nice. Not too close to downtown, but transportation was available at a reasonable price - although we were there with Princess Cruises and […] transportation was provided for all excursions. The only criticism I would have is that there was nowhere close by to get something to eat or drink in the evenings. No breakfast was included either. Lees meer

I enjoyed having a separate cottage, even though ours was not overlooking the river. It was very nice and quiet.

friendly service, very clean, and beautiful location and conviently placed. Beds were a bit hard but the room was very comfortable.

I was just passing through and the Rivers Edge was the right ticket. The location was convenient very close to the airport but further from downtown. The location was great, you could take walk along the river and get a meal rite on site. River's Edge consist of small one room cottages which was nice. Right nest door is a RV park. The only bad thing […] was there is no valet or bell service so I had to track my luggage around the gravel parking lot. Lees meer

Nice little cottages, very simple but clean. Buffet breakfast was a tad expensive for what it was. We found the dinning hall, where the breakfast is served, a little depressing, like an old age home music and they had the heat turned up. However the on site retaurant, open for lunch and dinner on the Chena river, was very good. The staff at the hotel […] and the restaurant werer very friendly. The high speed internet did not work anywhere on the property, which seems to be a consistant issue with this property, not good for business traverlers. Lees meer

A very nice place to stay in Fairbanks. A clean cottage, great restaurant on the water and conveniently located for sightseeing around Fairbanks.

Would recommend this hotel. It was a very clean with basic accomodations. The matress was a bit soft and it would be nice to see them upgrade to a better quality. However, it was very private and due to the fact they are individual cabins made them very quiet. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. It was nice to be able to walk along the Chena river […] and was relaxing. Unfortunately the days we were there it was training so we did not have the opportunity to take advantage of the patio but the hangining flower basket was very nice and the grounds were neat and tidy. This motel was a group of recently built/renovated cabins. All was new. and clean. Staff friendly and accommadating. Problems with services: Ice machine ( only one ) was out of order. Cable very limitede. Only 14 stations - no ESPN. Restaurant not open yet. Good location, with car.

From the time we were picked up at the train station to the time we checked out we were delighted with everyone's kindness and the superior cleanliness of this delightful resort.

Our stay et the Rivers edge was a great experience. We liked the fact that the units were seperate. That meant no noise from above, below, or from either side. The room was spacious and very clean. We will stay there again.

Great cottage.

I was expecting more of a typical hotel. But this is not your typical hotel. All rooms stand alone and it lies out more like a trailer park. But after I got over the initial surprise, I was please with the overall accomodations. The staff is extremely nice and patient and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. I stayed in the Rivers Edge Resort while at a conference in Fairbanks. The good - the staff were friendly and helpful, always available and very responsive, the place was quiet, and the individual cabins meant that you didn't have to hear your neighbors. The bad - the detergent used on the sheets left a somewhat unpleasant clinical odor on the sheets, […] and the wireless internet was very spotty in my cabin.
