Desert Palms Hotel & Suites in Anaheim

Lekker op loopafstand van Disneyworld en Seaworld. Zodat je tussendoor even een broodje kunt eten in je hotel. Ontbijt en zwembad waren ook oké.

In de parkeer garage is het veilig parkeren en de kamers zijn ruim. Het ontbijt is heel goed met veel keuze. Ik kan dit hotel echt aanraden. Zit op loop afstand van Disneyland.

The lobby was spotless, the room was clean, the free breakfast was awesome....lots of choices for children and adults....the Sandbox Grille in the restaurant was delightful---coffee shop, food, bar. I would definitely stay there again.

Hotel and room were nice. Our room was near the streets so we had to turn on the fan just to block out the noise of the cars. The walls are also very thin so we also had to endure the constant slamming of doors and screaming kids. Other than that the breakfast was good and a close walk to Disney.

We stayed here while we were visiting Disneyland. The front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Our son loved the pool and the hot tub. I appreciated that it was close enough to Disneyland to walk to so we wouldn't have to pay for parking. The palm trees lining the streets in that area are all lit […] up at night so it was really pretty when we walked to Downtown Disney our second night. The breakfast buffet was great too....eggs, sausage, waffles, pastries, etc. The price we payed included hotel parking, continental breakfast, and wifi. room was tiny, and you had to run the fan all night, made it loud to sleep. guest were allowed to party in the hallways, food was not so good, good thing it was included

I wasn't sure what to expect as I'd not stayed in the DisneyLand area before. The hotel was very clean, the staff was very nice and helpful. I didn't ever feel like I was a bother to them. The "breakfast" on the 5th floor was great and the ability to go out onto the roof top to eat was a nice bonus on the sunny mornings. Breakfast was more than ample […] and I was pleased with the quality and selection. We stayed in the family suite with the sunken living room. The room was perfect other than the first night we didn't turn the heat down and were sweating all night. The next night we of course sorted that out. The hotel was convenient to both the Anaheim Convention Center as well as to Disney Land. This was great because we didn't have to rent a car. We literally walked everywhere and it was nice. I liked that there was a 7-11 nearby, so buying things like water, and snacks wasn't all done at Disney Land where you'll pay up to 4x what you normally will. Overall pretty good value for money for a bed within walking distance of Disney Resort. The sofa bed was terrible, lucky it was only a tired and skinny 10year old sleeping on it. The hall outside our room had the most bizarre odour of pickled urine or something similarly disgusting but luckily didn't permeate into the room.

Hotel was great!! Very clean, good breakfast buffet, walking distance from Disneyland and very friendly staff. I must thank the staff. My mother is claustrophobic and we initially got a room on the third floor. After speaking to the front desk, the gentleman that assisted us actually ended up giving us a free update on the suite since there was nothing […] else on the first floor. With the exception of the jacuzzi which seemed dirty because of all the bubbles, I really enjoyed our stay. The free parking, free internet and free breakfast buffet is a big plus. Great hotel with great employee's. I would recommend to all my friends. It was a great value for the price. Great location-close to all.

This hotel was great we were in anaheim to compete @ the convention center. The location was great it was only a short walk to the convention center. There were convenience stores & restaurants nearby. Also it was a short easy bus ride to disneyland. The service @ the hotel was amazing. We were a large group staying there & the staff was extremely helpful. […] The breakfast in the morning is great there r make your own waffles and other hot foods available. We were a family of 4, with kids ages 9 & 7. We spent one night as we were spending 2 days at dland, which was literally around the corner. We got a room with 2 queen beds. The room was standard size, but we had a very large bathroom. The room was very clean and decor was nice - seemed recently updated. I was surprised as there was a free hot breakfast […] included. Decent food - eggs, potatoes, sausage, make your own waffles (hit with the kids). We checked in late (11pm) with no problems. Front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for an affordable hotel close to Disneyland with spacious rooms and complimentary hot breakfast, this is the place for you! Next time I visit Anaheim, I will definitely consider staying here again. Standard room was huge and offered a kitchenette with full fridge, sitting area and two flat screen TVs. Very noisy hotel. Sounded like construction was going on at 11 at night. When I called the front desk it stopped for about ten minutes, then started up again. We were on the 2nd floor and u need to take two elevators to get from the parking area to the 2nd floor. Very inconvenient. The rooms were nice enough but everything else overshadowed the sta […] y. we had a great stay at the desert palms! i brought my family for the weekend because we were going to disney land. the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. the breakfast was very good. location wise, were walking distance to the park. there is a convience store right next to the hotel for late night snacks. restaurants are right down the street. […] i would DEFINITELY stay here again. thank you to the entire staff at the desert palms for great service. it really contributed towards a fantastic weekend for my family as well as myself.. This was our second time staying at this hotel. The first time does not compare to the second. I told the front desk employee that the last time was not too impressive and that I had to pretty much convince my wife to stay here again. courteous staff. nice room. not the closest to any one place but walking distance to many places like Disneyland, convention center, garden walk, many restaurants, and a 7/11 right next door. although the breakfast buffet is minimal, it is a good way to save you time and money.

The pros about staying at the Desert Palms Hotel are the free parking, walking distance to Disneyland Parks, Outdoor Heated Pool, and Excellent customer service! The cons were the condition of the Hotel. The pictures on the hotel website are quit deceiving. We booked the Yuha Kids Suite and were shocked when we walked in and saw the lack of space. We […] ended up being upgraded to a larger suite due to a spider incident and were thankful we had more room for three people.The free hotel breakfast was probably the worst I have experienced in quite some time. The cups that were provided were barely larger than a shot glass and the plastic silverware was so cheap you could not even cut a waffle with it. The food was cheap and not healthy at all. The hotel overall needs a major overhall. Floors are in bad shape and the age is apparent. I think for the price that it is fair to expect just a little more from this place. I will say again though that the hotel staff were extremely accomodating and were right on top of any requests or complaints. Lees meer

Great location, for an easy walk to the park. We have stayed at this hotel before, now it has been updated. Still great value, good morning breakfast and helpful staff. We will be back on our next trip to Disneyland.

Great location - proximity to Disneyland and Anaheim Convention Center - Good restaurants. Great staff. Good free breakfast - The only thing we noticed was the cover on our air conditioner didn't fit correctly, falling off and hard to get at controls.

being that this trip was to be a surprise for my child and on short notice with a limited income, I chose this place because of the price and reviews. We have never stayed at this place before, usually its right scross the main gate from Disney but always was not satisfied with the places we stayed at. Location is not bad, it is about a ten minute walk […] to the main gate depending on your walking pattern and if your feet are hurting by the end of the day. Inside the hotel, it looks very clean and nice. Staff was nice during check in and out process. We stayed on the third floor, for some reason the entire walk on that floor was very stuffy. There is a pool and jacuzzi on the first floor. They have a really good breakfast! It's not like other places. Between us we had sauage patties, scrambled eggs, potato, cereal, waffles, oj, coffee, and another juice. There was also oranges, pastry, and yogurt. Since this place is at the corner, its right next door to a 7-11 and across from other places to eat. Great location overall. Next time we visit Disneyland, we will be returning guests here at this hotel. Lees meer

Stayed here for access to Disneyland - fairly convenient. However, the bathroom fan is fixed to the light (they go on/off together) and the fan was incredibly loud. Maintenance came and didn't do anything to reduce the sound. The internet access was slow at all hours of the day/night, and while the wireless connection wouldn't drop, data transmission […] would freeze up repeatedly. Because of this, it was almost unusable! Love this hotel!!

Room for 6 in one room which made the difference for us so that we wouldn't have to get 2 rooms elsewhere. The hotel was just fine and is probably the least expensive way for a large family to go. Would recommend.

We stayed her on a recent trip to Disneyland. It was a good location, just a short shuttle ride to the park and we could see the nightly fireworks from our room. The breakfast was good and had a fairly good variety of items. The room was a good size. Free internet and parking were a plus. I would stay here again.

It was wonderful. They even upgraded us to a suite.

Nice and Clean very convenient location

We go to disneyland all the time and usually on a budget. I usually book us in a travelodge or something similar. This time we went with my family so we had more money to split for a hotel. Out of all the hotels that offered rooms for 5+ people, desert palms offered the more reasonable price. When we got to our suite, we were pleasantly surprised at […] the size of our room and amenities. The breakfast was awesome, staff helpful and is close to a shopping center and restaurants. Upon arrival we were able to check in early, we reserved the 2-room family suite. Unfortunately, they also gave our room to another family & that family walked in to our room as we were about to take advantage of the free breakfast the hotel offered. I was shocked. What might have happened to our belongings if we hadn't been in the room. That guest […] reported the mistake to the front desk, and ended up canceling out our room cards, which we needed to reactiveate when re-entering from breakfast. The room was great, no complaints & the hotel was located within a very short walking distance from Disneyland. Free breakfast hit the spot to begin the day. Upon checking out, the hotel accidentally charged my card 4x's what they should have, my room was a pre-paid and all charges had previously been taken care of, they said they must have left a screen up & charged by mistake. Pretty frustrated at this point...2 strikes...they promptly called my bank & had the funds released within about an hour..but I would have rather not dealt with the whole mix up in general...so points deducted for inefficient check in with staff members. I wouldn't stay at the hotel again if it was just me traveling without my kids, but with the kids, I might give it another shot. I really liked the kids having their own space in the room instead of us being on top of each other for 2 days..so the setup of the room has me coming back..but that's about it. Lees meer

We spent more for a room that we believed to have a wall to separate bedroom and living room based on the diagram that was shown online. When I confirmed this at check in she said, "Oh no, those are old pictures, there used to be a curtain, but we took those down." We would have definitly stayed elsewhere. Also, the fire alarm intermittantly went off. […] That is not too easy on the ears. If you are a small family that doesn't mind a 1/4 mile walk to the park this would be fine. The hotel is located close enough to walk to Disney. It is also in a desirable neighborhood with lots of good resturants and a nice mall located close by where I was able to get a tour of LA and Hollywood from that location. The local transportation is conveniently located right by the hotel and I was able to catch a shuttle there for return to LA to […] catch my flight home. I did not need a car at all. The breakfast is free and has a good variety of hot items. The front desk was very courteous and helpful. I left my camera in the lobby and fortunately it was found and kept at desk for me. As a large family on a budget, this hotel was great for us! The Yuha Kids Suite was fine. There wasn't a lot of extra space and the kids said the bunk beds weren't very comfortable, but no one really complained. We didn't spend much time in the room, so it really didn't matter. Having the free breakfast saved us money! It wasn't anything special, but […] it was food in our stomachs before going to the park. This hotel is the right location for Disney and the Convention center. It's relatively cheap compared to the surrounding luxury hotels. Don't expect great comfort. The bed worked because I was really tired but not real comfortable. The room is loud if someone showers above you and you can hear doors closing loudly in other areas of the hotel. Good location, but not a quality hotel. Not clean. Looked as though they had many rooms rented to long term renters. I checked out after one night, even though I was reserved for 5 nights.

My family of 5 stayed in a family suite...lots of space with 4 queen beds and 2 full bathrooms. Easy walk to Disney and Cal Adventure...the Hotel sits on the same block as the Disney properties. The staff was friendly, the parking was easy and the free breakfast was about what is expected from a free hotel breakfast buffet....great choices for hungry […] kids...OK for the adults! This hotel could have been a "5" in my book, but there was a problem with the hot water that the hotel couldn't resolve in our room....everything was great except the lukewarm showers! Lees meer

I used to be a frequent traveler, but lately I haven't had the time due to work. I planned my own California adventure solo and chose Desert Palms for my accommodation. This is one of the only hotels within walking distance of Disneyland that has a gym amenity. I had every intention of working out on my trip but did not find the time or have the energy. […] Nonetheless, the facility was nice and well-maintained. The pool was pristine and incredibly clean. The water was pure and not over-chlorinated. As for my room, it had everything I needed and was absolutely comfortable. Excellent mattresses and very good pillows for a hotel. I prefer firmer but they were anything but soft and flat like you would find in most hotels. The fridge and microwave were put to use. There was a safe inside the closet. The blinds kept the light out. The products in the bathroom were decent. I really liked the bar soaps and was tempted to try the shampoo based on scent but refrained as I had brought my own and this is a hair stylist no-no!!! Major kudos to such a wonderfully clean hotel. My linens were so fresh and crisp. The carpet felt brand new, and I hate carpeting. The common areas even had a freshness about them. My bathroom shimmered with clean. I normally feel sketched out in hotel rooms because I always spot at least two nasty things but this place was awesome. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient. My only notations about my week in the hotel was: their staff obviously doesn't check the stairwells often, as a guest had dumped some pool towels and they were in the stairwell for days. I caught a guest smoking in the stairwell, so nothing is monitored there. I had asked for extra towels when I checked in, perhaps with the wrongful expectation they would arrive promptly while I settled in. I requested a lack of maid service so I left notes for the maids who did fulfill my requests. Great service! Lees meer

Nice hotel conveniently located walking distance & close to Disneyland. Kids room suite with bunk beds & sofa bed in one room and a King size bed in the other was too narrow & a bit tight but OK considering we spent most of the day at Disneyland. Fridge & microwave in room a plus.

Stayed for one night. Close to Disneyland, walking distance!! Rooms a little outdated but clean. Breakfast was good. Staff friendly! Would stay again.

We have stayed at this hotel several times the hotel is clean and the staff and very very helpful and friendly.The rooms and large and clean it is also walking distqance to the Disneyland and California Parks. There is also several resurants in the area.
