Een prima hotel met veel zitruimte buiten. Direct aan het strand (te bereiken via een behoorlijke trap). Kamer met balkon (en extra hordeur). Ontbijt voor US begrippen voldoende. Op loopafstand van centrum.

Historic Santa Maria Inn ligt heel handig vlak bij de luchthaven, in het hartje van Santa Maria.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Historic Santa Maria Inn heeft een buitenzwembad, een spabad en een fitnesscentrum. Een draadloze internetverbinding is gratis beschikbaar in openbare ruimtes. Dit hotel met 3,5 sterren beschikt over zakelijke voorzieningen waaronder vergaderruimtes voor kleine groepen en audiovisuele apparatuur. Dit hotel met een spa biedt diverse eetgelegenheden, zoals een restaurant, een koffiebar/café en een bar/lounge. Het personeel kan op verzoek een conciërgeservice, een huwelijksservice en een cateringdienst voor evenementen regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een nachtclub, een spa en meertalig personeel. Gasten kunnen gratis parkeren.

Elke kamer heeft een balkon. Historic Santa Maria Inn heeft 164 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een gratis krant en een koffiezetapparaat/waterkoker. Een gratis snelle internetverbinding (draadloos en via kabel) is beschikbaar. Elke kamer heeft een flatscreen televisie met premiumkanalen via kabel/satelliet, een videogameconsole en betaalfilms. Elke kamer beschikt over een bureau en een telefoon met directe buitenlijn met voicemail. Elke badkamer is voorzien van een bad/douchecombinatie, designer toiletartikelen en een föhn.
Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een strijkplank/strijkijzer en een plafondventilator. Bovendien kun je op verzoek gebruikmaken van voorzieningen zoals een magnetron, massagebehandelingen op de kamer en een telefonische wekdienst. Een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar.

Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een creditcard voor te leggen.

Redelijk grote kamer met koelkast. Het ontbijtbuffet stelt niet veel voor. Geen kaas, geen vleeswaren. Het personeel van het restaurant is ongeinteresseerd en zeker niet vriendelijk. Personeel aan de balie is wel vriendelijk. In de buurt van het hotel is niets, dus als je ergens heen wilt, heb je de auto nodig.

"Een echt historisch hotel."
Mooi gerestaureerd, ruime kamer, jaren 20 met muziek uit deze tijd. Spijtig was het te koud om nog gebruik te maken van het zwembad. Opletten als je de straat oversteekt...In één van de kamers heeft Marilyn Monroe overnacht evenals andere sterren. Een goed ontbijt met een vriendelijke bediening.

It's right downtown, next to the mall. I stayed in the historic hotel section as part of a long motorcycle trip. The rooms have different stars' names who stayed there (Jack Benny, Gloria Swanson, Jack Lemmon). My room was a nice classic room with a queen size bed and a chain on the door. I had a nice hot soak in the bath and there was no sandpaper-type […] stuff on the bottom of the bathtub. An old school hotel vibe with new amenities. Clean and quiet room. Very nice hotel, book there frequently. Most of the staff are great, one or 2 dry personalities. Historic rooms are unique. Accessible location..

"Center point for all wine tasting"
Great
We had a wonderful stay, the hotel was clean and eating breakfast was nice with the table cloths and silver. Could see why all the stars stayed here so many years ago. Close to everything and cheaper than the hotels in wine country.
The hotel was great, service, staff size of our room etc. There are plenty of restaurants in the area. We ate at the Asian restaurant across the street it was great and the price was right. We liked this lace so much that we stayed here on our way back. I will stay here again.

I thought the Inn was wonderful, it was a great place to stay. I will return for a girls weekend, so see what a good rate you can give us.

Close enough to SLO to work for our Cal Poly visit. Parking lot full of Corvettes. Simi Valley Corvette club stayed the weekend. Very nice!

"Historic Inn- fun historic place to stay"
Very private pool and jacuzzi. Remodeled rooms but rest of hotel retains its historic charm. Very convenient location for staying in Santa Maria. I would definitely stay there again if needing a hotel in Santa Maria, CA.

"Historic Santa Maria Inn - friendly & nice!"
We stayed over on a weekend night and it was very quiet on Easter weekend. The pool/room/facilities were clean & well maintained. The food was good & the staff was helpful. I'm glad to find this pet friendly hotel at a decent price located downtown. We plan to stay here again when visiting in the area in the future!
All the personnel at the Inn were very curteous and helpful.

"VERY NICE HOTEL"
We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and had a really nice time, the area was conveniently closed to the 101 fwy.
While we located conveniently just off the 101 freeway, we are a world away from ordinary. Thank you for commenting on your stay and our close proximity to the freeway. We hope you were able to enjoy our property and wish to have you back with us again!

Really enjoyed our brief stay at this spacious and historic hotel. Spent time at the pool and lots of time at the historic lounge enjoying the libations and comfortable surroundings. We were suprisedly upgraded to a roomy suite where we could entertain. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Santa Maria.

My wife and I stayed here and enjoyed the history of the hotel. My wife loved the restaurant. I think we'll plan to stay there again.
"Non-smoking??? not so much"
Let me start by saying that the hotel is great...old (it is historic) but clean, well maintained and very quite. HOWEVER sensitive noses beware....if you stay in the old section, expect the rooms and yourself to smell like an ashtray...even in so-called non-smoking rooms. They seem to do their best (lots of air freshener. etc) but without a complete […] overhaul (new carpet/paint), you will continue to smell the years of smoking done it those rooms. I would stay there again, (you're sense of smell deadens after a bit), just make sure to pack the febreeze. Lees meer

the santa maria hotel had the most comfortable beds and pillows. the rooms were very clean and our room actually had a beautiful balcony over looking a garden. it was so nice i would deifinetly stay there again. if you love old hollywood you will love this hotel. charlie chaplin, marilyn monroe, and a bunch of famous people have stayed there. we stayed […] in the william hearst and mary davis room. it was great Lees meer

"Home away from home ...."
When we arrived in Santa Maria we had an unexpected and unpleasant surprise in that our son could not live in the apartment as planned. We were in an unfamiliar city, we did not know anyone, and we had no real starting point to try to solve our son’s housing problem. We also had two vehicles loaded with his belongings. My first call was to the Santa […] Maria Inn as we needed additional, immediate bed space and (hopefully) some place to put the property in the back of our son’s truck. The first person I spoke with was Kiristen.. I briefly explained our circumstances and she was able to locate a room that would accommodate us. So we were immediately relieved. We arrived at the Inn around dinner time and spoke to both Kiristen and her associate, Tyson. They were so friendly, polite, and empathetic that we felt as though we were being treated like family. Each of them offered to assist us not just with our accommodations but with suggestions and some research as far as where to look for housing for our son. They truly understood and appreciated our dilemma. When we found that we needed to extend our stay, Kiristen again made it easy for us and we were able to focus our attention on finding housing. We would like you to know that everyone we met, from the front desk staff, to the servers in the dining room, to the coffee shop staff and service personnel, was friendly, polite, and helpful. The personnel at the Inn created an atmosphere of comfort and warmth that made it easy to decide that whenever we visit, the Santa Maria Inn will be our home away from home. We have returned in mid-Feb and were once again welcomed like we were family! Lees meer
Overall our accomadations were outstanding, Customer service was great and the Shuttle to our event was great. The Breakfast Buffet could use some improvments. Maybe do away with the Buffet and allow the guests to order from the menu.

"Santa Maria Inn"
Excellent stay. We were upgraded to the Jr. Suit and with two little ones, having the extra space for them to run around was great. The view was excellent, the beds were comfotable, plus the service was friendly and really quite excellent. Highly recommend it!

"UNFRIENDLY STAFF - DINING ROOM / FRONT"
The dining room staff at the breakfast and the front desk clerk at our check-out were unfriendly and untrained. Unbelievable to see this kind of staff in the hotel business. Left with unpleasant memoir.
"Great Stay"
The building wraps around a lovely courtyard over-looking a garden and further from the room, a pool. The bed was super comfortable and sleep was easy. The front desk took care to separate all guests by a few rooms to keep noise very low. Overall GREAT stay.

We were anxious to stay at the Santa Maria because we saw online that it was a historic hotel but we had no idea just how beautiful it was. Not only is it beautiful but the historic value is terrific. "Across from a strip mall"
I don't know how they got the pics of this place. It is in a commercial area, across from a strip mall. Not at all close to a vineyard. The "historic" rooms are circa 1980's...not 1880's..The staff was pleasant, but this place is def not what they promote it is.
