Wij hadden dit hotel uitgezocht omdat we toe waren aan een comfortabel hotel tijdens onze roadtrip door Californie. De suite was prachtig en lekker groot, alleen wat lawaaierig omdat naast de deur een flinke kier was die veel geluid doorliet. Er was een open hal waardoor het geluid van het restaurant en de bar in de suite te horen was. Het uitzicht op de highway was niet fraai vanaf het, overigens grote en mooie, balkon. De service van de receptie was uitstekend; we kregen een andere suite dan we gereserveerd hadden en ze maakten dit helemaal goed met ons. Kreeg van het hoofd Receptie 2 lekkere flessen lotion van een uitstekend merk van de Spa. Ze wilde het graag goed maken en vonden het erg vervelend dat we ind e verkeerde suite waren terechtgekomen en het was een leuke geste.

Parkeren gratis overdekt bij hotel, direct aan het strand. Pier Pismo Beach op loopafstand. Kamer met jacuzzi op balkon (en daardoor meteen zeezicht) voor een geringe meerprijs. Heerlijk open haard in de kamer. Gratis strandstoeltjes en strandlakens afhalen bij receptie. Mooi groot breed strand met surfers bij de pier. We hebben hier echt genoten! Komen er graag nog een keertje terug!

Ligging.
Embassy Suites San Luis Obispo ligt heel handig vlak bij de luchthaven in het hartje van San Luis Obispo, dicht bij Mission San Luis Obispo de Tolosa, Fremont Theater en Alex G. Spanos Stadium.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Embassy Suites San Luis Obispo heeft een binnenzwembad, een spabad en een fitnesscentrum. In openbare ruimtes is tegen betaling een internetverbinding (draadloos of via kabel) beschikbaar. Dit hotel met 3 sterren beschikt over zakelijke voorzieningen zoals een businesscentrum, vergaderruimtes voor kleine groepen en audiovisuele apparatuur. Dit hotel met een groen/duurzaam beleid heeft een restaurant, een koffiebar/café en een bar/lounge. Elke ochtend wordt gratis ontbijt geserveerd. Bovendien krijg je ook gratis een welkomstdrankje van de manager aangeboden. Het personeel kan op verzoek een conciërgedienst, een huwelijksservice en een cateringdienst voor evenementen regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere meertalig personeel, een cadeaushop of kiosk en een wasserij. Zelf parkeren is gratis.

Embassy Suites San Luis Obispo heeft 195 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een koffiezetapparaat/waterkoker en een gratis weekkrant. Elke kamer is voorzien van een draadloze internetverbinding. Elke televisie heeft premium kabelzenders en betaalfilms. Elke kamer beschikt over een bureau en een telefoon met meerdere lijnen met voicemail. Elke badkamer is voorzien van een bad/douchecombinatie, een föhn en gratis toiletartikelen.
Elke kamer heeft een magnetron en een koelkast. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een strijkplank/strijkijzer en een wekkerradio. Bovendien kun je op verzoek gebruikmaken van voorzieningen zoals hypoallergeen beddengoed, extra handdoeken/beddengoed en een telefonische wekdienst. Een huishoudservice is dagelijks beschikbaar. De renovatie van alle kamers werd in januari 2008 voltooid.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag in rekening worden gebracht.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een creditcard voor te leggen.

Milieuvriendelijke/duurzame accommodatie - Verklaring van derden
Deze accommodatie neemt deel aan California Green Lodging Program, een extern certificatieprogramma dat onafhankelijk is gecertificeerd. Certificatie door derden meet de impact van de accommodatie op onder andere het milieu, de gemeenschap, het cultureel erfgoed en de plaatselijke economie. Een objectieve beoordeling van de duurzame toeristische praktijken van deze accommodatie is uitgevoerd door een auditor die niet aan het externe certificatieprogramma verbonden is.

"convenient"
Would have to say the location was very convenient for us. Visiting son in college and then heading out to Avila and Pismo for some R&R. The breakfast and cook to order was excellent. The furnishings are a little dated but the room was clean and comfortable. The hot tub was tiny, said occupancy 5 but that would be tight. For such a large hotel seemed […] awfully small. "Best Place to Stay in SLO"
My favorite place to stay: clean, comfortable, and spacious rooms. All suites have a separate bedroom with a door that closes off from the living room - perfect for separating the snorers from the quiet sleepers. 2 sinks - one in the bathroom, the other outside so that more than one person can get ready to go out at the same time. 2 flat screen t.v.s […] - one in bedroom, one in living room. Delicious hot breakfast buffet with made-to-order omelettes and Peet's Coffee. Free wifi only for Hilton Honors members. Plenty of parking in a large shopping center with many large retail chains, eateries, and grocery. Friendly and extremely helpful staff. Only one freeway exit from SLO downtown. "Good Hotel for the price"
This is the second time we've stayed here. Although I was not very happy with the location of the room. We were place facing the Atrium which was loud. There was availability of the room we wanted. Other than that, overall it was fine.

This hotel is at the back of a mall and very hard to find. Don't try too hard to find it, you will be disappointed. The rooms all have a lot of traffic noise due to the location right next to highway 101. The room features are dated and worn, there was a funky odor in our room as well as the hallways and atrium. We were extremely pleased with our stay. Very courteous staff, easy freeway access, located inside a big shopping center (shoppers can walk!)
Great hotel and food service. My daugher learned a very good lesson: Do not leave valuables out in the open. Her watch was taken!

The hotel was awesome! Nice people, clean comfortable room, and great food. It was a little hard to find because it sits behind the shopping center. The only thing I wasn't happy about is, they do not offer free wi-fi? I will definitly stay here again.
"Convenient and safe location - with gym"
This was a my second stay. I really like the friendly staff (especially the front desk Lisa and bar staff Howard.) A home away from home, Pricing is very reasonable for the value. And they are part of the Hilton Honors Reward program. Will be back.

One night stay - TV in sitting area not working,bathroom sink would not drain (luckily there are two), curtains coming off rod and bathtub spout exposed open wall. Staff was very pleasant- food very good - comfortable setting.
"Dog friendly"
We needed a place to stay with our dog and this hotel was perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the happy hour, and breakfast was really good with made to order omelets. Our dog is easy and well behaved it was so nice to have a place where he was welcome.

"condition/comfort of our room."
The only downsides were the heater blew cool air and the ceiling leaked water during the rain. I forgot to report it (room 301). The personnel are outstanding as is the service. We would definteley stay again

Embassy Suites was good but Hotels . com mixed up my first and last name on the reservation so it took me about an hour to get checked in.
The full breakfast bar was great! Saved my family lots of money by not buying breakfast for 3 days. We had a dog so we were on first floor this time. Room was clean. Bed wasn't very comfortable, too hard. We've stayed here before with our dog and had a room on 4th floor which was much more comfortable. I don't know why they wouldn't let us have a room […] on the 4th floor. Anyhow, I'd still recommend this hotel to everyone. Lees meer

We found this hotel last minute and couldn't be happier with our stay. Good price and GREAT service! Very clean and spacious rooms. Pet-friendly and good location. Understaffed for New Years Eve, no respect from guests with kids. No respect from staff about morning breakfest. Have stayed at this same hotel before, was very enjoyable, this time we felt like were staying at a cheap roadside motel.

The accessible accomodation was not well laid out. The room layout prevented wheelchair maneuverability.thebfurniture should be rearranged or modified. All accessible accommodations must have roll-in showers with shower seats. Provide some more time pieces. One clock radio per suite is inadequate

Very nice, loved having breakfast for free, would definitely stay again. Our only complaint was it was a little loud at night. Hard to go to sleep.

The hotel was nice and clean. Breakfast was great. Our only complaint was the noise from the atrium. We could hear them restocking/moving dishes and glasses from the bar/coffee/breakfast area around 10 pm and then again early in the morning. Recommend avoid getting a room above/near the bar/coffee/breakfast area.

We had a wonderful stay at the Embassy Suites, rooms were great. Buffet in the morning was awesome, and free drinks at night, what a way to make your guest feel welcomed. The staff at this hotel were very nice, all around had a GREAT couple of nights there.

"Internet Disappointment"
We were extremely disappointed that there was a fee for accessing the internet. We did not subscribe to the internet because we felt that it should have been included with the cost of the hotel room. This is the first time we have stayed in a hotel that did not offer internet access as complimentary. We stayed at the Embassy Suites in Portland, Oregon […] and had internet access free of charge. I wa traveling to SLO first time for business. The staff was friendly and helpful. Used the fitness room - like the hours and tv on cardio machines. The cocktail hour was a great way to meet new people.
