Gastvrije ontvangst. Prima prijs/kwaliteitsverhouding. Eenvoudig hotel, maar vlakbij de boten en binnen 10 min. op het San Marcoplein.Ontbijt is wel erg simpel, maar de koffie is prima en voor 5,-€ p.persoon mag je ook niet meer verwachten.Als we ooit weer Venetie willen verkennen teken ik voor dezelfde accomodatie.

Gewldig hotel, we hadden een upgrade naar een nieuwe kamer, hoe de ode kamers zijn dat weet ik niet. Het was wel een flink eind lopen naar bv het San Marco maar dat vond ik juist een voordeel, omdat je dan onderweg alles lopend ziet. Het was vlakbij het treinstation en op loopafstand van de eindstop van de luchthavenbus. Bijzonder comfortabel , uitstekend ontbijt,vriendelijk personeel, vrije beschikking over het internet op de computer die in de hal van het hotel staat.

Goede service en aardig personeel. Alleen slechte bedden en erg gehorig. Kamers waren super schoon en heel erg mooi.

Goede ligging alles op loop afstand. Net of je in zandvoort bent maar dan warmer. Op loopafstand van de baay van venetie en in de avond direct aan het uitgaans centrum op het strand.
Ligging.
Hotel Plaza bevindt zich in Mestre, dicht bij Piazza Ferretto en San Giuliano Park. Bezienswaardigheden in de omgeving zijn onder andere Fusina Harbor en Villa Valmarana at Mira.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Dit hotel voor zaken biedt diverse eetgelegenheden, zoals een restaurant. Gasten krijgen gratis ontbijt. Een draadloze internetverbinding is gratis beschikbaar in openbare ruimtes. De zakelijke voorzieningen bij deze 4-sterrenaccommodatie zijn onder andere een businesscentrum, vergaderruimtes voor kleine groepen en vergaderruimtes. Dit hotel biedt diverse eetgelegenheden, zoals 2 restaurants plus een bar/lounge. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een conciërgebalie, meertalig personeel en een wasserij. Parkeren op locatie is mogelijk tegen betaling. Dit is een rookvrije accommodatie. De volledige renovatie van deze accommodatie werd in 2009 voltooid.

Elke kamer biedt uitzicht op de stad. Hotel Plaza heeft 201 kamers met airconditioning die zijn voorzien van een minibar en een kluis. Gasten hebben een gratis draadloze internetverbinding op de kamer. Elke kamer heeft een lcd-televisie met kanalen via satelliet. Elke accommodatie biedt een bureau, een gratis krant en een telefoon met directe buitenlijn. Elke badkamer is voorzien van een bad/douchecombinatie, een bidet, een föhn en gratis toiletartikelen.
Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere openslaande ramen en verduisterende gordijnen. Bovendien wordt dagelijks een huishoudservice aangeboden. Op verzoek zijn voorzieningen als een telefonische wekdienst beschikbaar. Op de kamers van Hotel Plaza mag niet worden gerookt.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag worden aangerekend.

Op het Piazza Ferretto, het grootste en voetgangersvriendelijke plein van Mestre, staan cafés, winkels en de 12e-eeuwse uitkijktoren van de stad. Het Brentakanaal, dat bekendstaat om de elegante Palladiaanse villa's, komt uit in de lagune naast Mestre en strekt zich uit tot de historische universiteitsstad Padua.

Voor ons is het volgende erg belangrijk: Stilte en rust om te slapen, een airco die uitgezet kan worden, een ventilator in de badkamer die uit kan en een raam wat open kan. Dat was prima in orde. De ligging is tegenover het station zonder last van langsrazende treinen. Voor een euro (2010) koop je een enkeltje naar Venezië, treinen gaan zeer regelmatig. […] We krijgen wel de kriebels van de muzak in ontbijtzaal, lounge, restaurant en lift. Veel te luid en van ons mag het direkt uitgezet worden. Maar ik begrijp dat een gemiddelde hotelbezoeker dit juist wel gezellig vindt. Het gratis internet op de beschikbare laptops was tergend langzaam. Als je een e-mail wil versturen, typ hem dan eerst in notebook, kopieer hem en log dan pas in anders zijn je gratis 30 minuten per keer op voordat het verzonden is en kun je opnieuw beginnen. En wat is Venetie ongelooflijk mooi en schilderachtig, ook de wat minder toeristische plekken. Gewoon lekker lopen en als je moe bent neem je de Stadsbusboot terug naar het station. Lees meer
"Convenient to Bus & Train to Venice."
The hotel was adequite for the price paid. My reservation was to include a surpeior room, breakfast, and transportation to the airport. the room was nicer than that of others staying with us. We did receive a buffet breakfast every morning, but when it came time for the trip to the airport the hotel didn't know what I was talking about. So it cost me […] 38 Euro to get to the Airport. Nice hotel, excellent and plenty of breakfast. 1 minutes away from the Mestre railway station and the train trip only takes 10minutes to venice. Its a great, comfortable, modern hotel to travel from to venice on daily base.

"Plaza hotel Mestre Venice"
We paid extra for a superior room. Although the room itself was very good and spacious the bathroom was a disappointment. It was old and very small, nowhere near the standard of the bedroom. We were without hot water for one day. The breakfasts could also have been better.

Hotel location is just a road away from railway station, Mestre, a mere stop from Venice. Location is very ideal and convenient for travellers to Venice. Hotel is newly furnished and has a spanking modern look, very inviting. Hotel room is the typical European look, and their bathroom is splendid. As this hotel is situated opposite the station it is perfect for getting around. The area is not that great but having said that it is by a train station and what you would expect. Fantastic value for money, we were fortunate to get an upgrade so that was nice. On the negative side, breakfast service was not good but there was enough food on offer. Great value. Easy access to the train and other transport to Venice/canals. Nice hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast included which is always a nice feature. Surrounding area is not the best. There were a couple of very good restaurants in walking distance which we really enjoyed.

If you are looking for a convenient stay in a spacious room and not so far from the island of Venice; then look no further, Plaza Hotel offer’s great location (Facing the Train Station) which takes you directly to Venice in a 15 Min ride; the price was reasonable and the room was nicely appointed, but be ware of the type of room you book; some of the […] rooms are old and not renovated while others are newly furnished and nicely appointed; Internet was free as well as Breakfast; I would defiantly recommend this Hotel to others if you don’t want to live in the hassle of Venice; the only comment I have is the usual attitude of the Italians which is common everywhere in Italy. We were very pleased with our stay at the hotel during our recent visit. Being across the street from the train station was a big plus. The room was very clean with plenty of room. Very good breakfast with a big variety of food. The hotel restaurant had excellent dinners.

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel.Our room was very clean and very quiet. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. A drawback would be that the location required us taking a train (conveniently right across the street) and then taking the boat down the Grand Canal both morning and evening, which we loved. Very nice hotel,conveniently located across from the Rail station with bus stops across the street also. It is a short bus or train ride (10-15 min) to get to the island of Venice. Worth the commute time for the price of this nice hotel.

From the airport, you can take a shuttle for 5 Euros, drops you right across the street from the hotel. Right across the street is the train station, costs 1.2 euros to get to Venice, takes about 10 mins. There's an ATM machine at the train station where you can get a better rate for currency exchange even after the $5 service charge. There are restaurants […] and a Mcds nearby. Room is clean. A really great hotel, just across the street from the Mestre railway station, from where all trains run into Venice, about every 5 mins or so. Easy access to and from Marco Polo Airport by local bus. Short trip by taxi to airport. Great breakfasts too. Staff were so helpful and friendly too. Would go back there again.

mark my words...hotel just a cross the Railway station. the one way ticket is Euros 1.20 and 10 mins to Venice Santa Lucia Station. I was concern about how to get Venice islands from Mestre but when I got there It was a piece of cake. but a ticket in the automatic machine and get the tren, do not forget to VALIDATE the ticket prior to get on the tren. in […] Venice Santa Lucia, out side there is a station to buy boat tickets buy it, it worth it, and also do not forget to visit LIDO there are beaches and nice spots to visit, the boat ticket also works for buses in Lido and Mestre... In Muranno stop in colona station walk to the channel make a left and walk all the way not buy at the very first store, some times the price difference is double for the same item. Enjoy. Lees meer
"Close to Venice"
We chose this hotel because it was close to the train station that goes to Venice. In fact it is directly across the street which was just perfect. The room was comfortable enough. Wifi was a bit unreliable and that is the only real complaint. Beds were comfortable and room was adequate value for what we paid.

Right across the street from the station - easy access to Venice without having to pay the prices of the grand canal hotels. Trains leave every few minutes. We stayed at 8 various hotels in Italy, France, London, and Spain. This property is my second best. Very convenient, the train stops downstairs, the property is brand new, the room we had was very clean, their breakfast buffet is excellent, and staff are very professional. I would love to stay at this hotel again.

11 of us stayed at this property as is near to ponte veche, duomo, restaurants and shopping. The location is great but the quality of the room is way below our expectations. First, the room we had were very small, the elevators can fit only 2people and 2luggages, if you have more the elevator will not move. Enjoyed our stay at Plaza Hotel , the rooms were comfortable, the staff were friendly and obliging.It was easy to travel into Venice ( Santa Lucia ) by train . Breakfast was ok . The neighbourhood behind the hotel was a bit dubious , especially for 2 female travellers ! "Hotel Plaza // One stop before Venice"
Folks what a hotel and right across the street from the train station. Forget lugging your bags thru Venice...get off one stop Venice (Mestre) and leave your bags at Hotel Plaza. For one Euro (one way) trains run every 15min to Venice (Santa Lucia). The staff is more than accomodating. Breakfast is unbelievable and the room is FANTASTIC. Our bathroom, […] marble floor and very LARGE, rare to see in Italy, was clean and bright and what a shower, you could fit two people...hahaha...but true. Nice... Convenient as it is located across the street to Venezia Mestre Train station... You can get to Venezia very easily by train for only 1€. Only bad thing I can say about the hotel is that there are no nice restaurants nearby, but the staff was very nice and recommended us few places at City Center...

The staff was very helpful and the room very clean. The only negative was, if you needed to use their computere, the internet was very slow. Close to the train station and you can leave the luggage at the hotel if you wish to sightsee before catching your train.

Although the Plaza Hotel is not on the island of Venice, it's only a couple miles via train. Hotel is across the street from the train station and only cost 1.1 Euro / person each way. The hotel is well appointed - air conditioning, TV with English channels - BBC, CNN, as well as French & German chanels. Spacious for Venitian standards and great location to reach Venice. The killer though was the bed -it is so hard I thought I slept on wood. I had to line up the 4 pillows on the bed and slept on them. "Plaza Hotel - Easy to get to and friendly staff!"
We only stayed here two nights, and we found it very comfortable. The reception staff were really nice and welcoming and the breakfast was amazing! It's about a 10 min train ride into 'Old Venice' and the neighbourhood isn't particularly inspiring, but for its proximity to the station (directly across the road! Google maps describes it as '5 seconds […] to destination' from the station!), the reasonable price and the quality of the hotel, I would definitely stay again. Lees meer

hotel plaza mestre is great! conveniently located so you don't have to pay venices prices but right across the train station to venice (10 min' drive) the hotel staff is very helpfull and fluent in english. restaurants are all over the place with moderate prices and great food, two of them are inside the hotel. the room was very nice with a working […] TV (rare in italy), very clean, and quite. the neighbourhood is a bit dubious but you don't need to walk around for anything since everything is close by. there is also a parking close by with special rates for the hotel guests.
