M Hotel Singapore in Singapore

Over all the hotel was fine, seemed like it was understaffed for the number of people visiting the subject place.

Booked a room with a double bed for a romantic staycation for our anniversary on 7-8 April 2012, but had such a horrible experience. Firstly, the hotel was touted as being 15 minutes' STROLL away from Chinatown. This is totally untrue, and even being physically quite fit, we took 25 minutes to get there. It was also said to be 5 minutes' ride to Lau […] Pa Sat, which we now assume to be by TAXI, perhaps. (their claims from another booking site) After reaching, the lobby was quite okay, but the reception wasn't even labeled. There were guests waiting around for their turn, but there were not sufficient seats, and the staff keep track of who was next simply by memory. Checking in was another hassle that took us more than 20 minutes as the staff kept checking something on the computer and then got back to us, telling us that there were NO ROOMS WITH DOUBLE BEDS, and told us to come back at 4pm! As it was raining outside and we had planned a romantic lunch thing, I informed the staff politely that this was not acceptable as we had booked the room way in advance. There was nowhere else for us to hang around until 4, and we had heavy bags. Even though it was their fault that they were overbooked, the staff even dared to ask us, and I quote, "So what do you want?!". I held back my outrage, and suggested that they could at least give us a room with 2 single beds and move us later. (This was offered to the man next to us by a different staff member) He then said it would be a problem, and went back to scrolling around on his screen. Eventually, the staff member who attended to the guy next to us went over to check as well and gave us a 2-bed room. We were told our room would be ready by 4. When we reached the room, our plans were already disrupted badly enough as we had wanted to go for a swim, but now had to wait in the room for their call. Good hotel, nice staff. WIFI is not complimentary

Very good hotel , Air condition did not work very well and small shower area in the bathroom. Other than that I was please with my 2 days there.

I stayed just for a night at M Hotel and I must say the front desk executive (Reena) was very helpful and accommodating. She gave me an early check in at 9 AM even though official check in is at 3 PM. The room was very spacious and clean. The hotel is near the tanjong pagar MRT station and so is conveniently located as well. It is not a 5-star hotel […] but it certainly comes close. I have ask for the Ask Alfred deal for my son Birthday, before we check in, I email the room reservation and before we go up, I told the check in person to place the bear on the bed 1st but the bear was not even place on the bed when we went up, I wanted to give my son a surprise, and want to record the whole process to see his expression but we open […] the door, to our SURPRISE, the bear is not even there, the slipper not there, the robe not there and we have to call up the room service again, and sent to us a few mins later, so disappointed and we change up and going for a swim, we went to the wrong way to the pool and a SPA Foreigh Talent shouted at us we went to the wrong way, we went towards the pool and she knock at me without saying sorry... In the hotels.com, its also says there is a kids swimming pool at M hotel, but it is not, again disappointed. I may not choose M hotel again. Lees meer

Nice hotel but The fan was creating a lot of noise the whole night

Pro - The service staff is good, courteous and helpful. Cons - The room was ill-prepared, in a way. There was no toothbrush but available when requested. The shower stall is really small. No hair dryer and only one dustbin in the toilet. And the aircon is not cool even at 20 degrees. We expect better from 4 stars hotel.

M-Hotel, a classy hotel in the business district. Subway service is within distance with the Business district just a stonethrow away. Also to mention, Sentosa, Vivocity, Raffles City are too within a 5-10 mins taxi ride away. M-hotel too sell the most delicious Chicken pie in singapore that would be great for tea, or a supper.Overall room comfort is […] there just that the TV distance is slightly far away. Lees meer

This is not the first time we stay at this hotel. This time round, we got a 23rd storey view of the harbour. Allow us to check out 1 hour beyond official check out time.

Clean and comfortable hotel with good service. Location quite good with walking distance to China Town and a 3 min walk to the metro. Small gym and pool (but was ok for a workout and a short swim). The room was big enough for 3 people for a few days. Had room on 17th floor facing the harbour. Did not hear any noice from the streets. Very nice breakfast […] buffet. Value for money. Check in time was suppose to be at 2pm, reached at 2.10pm or so, was told the room was not ready and we had to wait 1 to 1.5 hours! (Ridiculous) Waited till 3.30pm, went to counter and room still NOT ready and in the end, we waited till 415pm before we could go to the room. The only compensation was late check out of additional 2 hours. (But doesn't […] it delay tmrw's check in all over again?) All other service was fine though, rooms were clean, no toilet problems. It was a good stay in M Hotel in Singapore. The hotel has a very nice room that make us very comfortable.

My second stay at this hotel this year. Overall we enjoyed our stay and I believe it is good value for money. Positives: - location, near Chinatown, close to MRT, 2 minutes walk to my office on Anson Road. If you want to go to Orchard road it is only 4 or 5 stops, you have to change lines once however - very spacious rooms - good size bathroom with […] separate shower - good breakfast (I wouldn't bother paying 28 S$ for it however if it is not included in your rate) - great food in roomservice at reasonable rates Negatives: - the location in the business district has also downsides: CBD surcharge in taxis, no shops, restaurants etc. around that are open in the evening/weekend apart from one 7/11 - bathroom was not as clean as I would expect (some black mould) - internet very expensive if not included (S$28 per day!) - room service: while the food is good, forget about the cocktails, they are more of a joke and not worth the money at all Additional comment: Don't bother going for the 'deluxe room'. The differences to 'superior room' are: Looking towards the harbour, not a great view and currently building works in front of the hotel. The M Hotel is a high quality hotel at a reasonable price while a bit out of the way being in CBD, however access to MRT is good and great night life at Duxton Hill, that is within walking distance, good cheap local restaurants as well as expensive expat ones all in all a good alternative to River side or orchard road.

It's in a business district so not a lot to do nearby, but the buses don't take that long and its only a 20 min walk to some hangouts. Hotel was comfortable enough but I would have preferred a shower in the bath tub versus a separate shower stall and bath.

Clean hotel, efficient hotel staff, conveniently located 3 minutes walking from MRT Station. Bed a bit soft, I guess mattress could be changed, tv channels selection a bit narrow. Great place to be spending the weekend.

Very nice hotel. Really wished they had free wi-fi. Seems silly to charge people for that these days. If you can swing it, get a club room. The M Club had a nice selection of snacks and beverages. Staff was extremely pleasant.

I stayed on the club level via a Hotels.com find, and the room included laundry service, breakfast and Internet, along with drinks in the lounge. The service on the club level was excellent, and the room comfortable. The location was convenient to the business I needed to conduct, but not convenient to tourism. Wonderful, especially the confort if the bed. We had a sunset view, which made it extra nice.

it's perfect! Felt like a 5 star hotel--lobby is beautiful and rooms are spacious and nice. Neighborhood is great--conveniently located 10min walk to train station.

We stayed at the M Hotel for 5 nights partially for a few days of business and a few for leisure. We found the hotel fantastic. Our Club Room was definitely comfortable and quiet. The breakfast selection was great and the complimentary drinks and canapes each evening was a definite bonus. Staff were exceptional and always professional offering us a […] late checkout to accommodate our afternoon flight. The hotel was close to everything we needed. We never taxied anywhere except to and from the airport. The MRTs are the ideal and economical way to get around and one is only 2 blocks from the hotel. we arrived real early the lady at the front desk told me that she will try her best. My daughter who was 8 was so exhausted coz we came all the way from amsterdam and arrived at 5.45. They didn't even try at all until i said i will pay half day then they gave me a smoking room a cheaper room than what i have booked and i had to stay there for the night […] before moving to the room that i have booked previously. More than happy with our stay at M hotel! The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is fantastic with bus and MRT close by and the area felt very safe. The pool area and spa were really relaxed and our room was spacious and comfortable.

I was there for almost 10 days on my business trip with family. Really nice and clean place. Got a club room online for excellent rate. Enjoyed the breakfast, lot of varities and warm reception. I would love to stay there if I happened to revisit Singapore again. Thanks guys,

being a regular customer with your hotel, the management should consider including breakfast for two.

This is not the hotel you want for partying and touristing - but for business travel it's great. Especially if your company is on Anson Rd or Shenton way, this is one of a very few hotels in walking distance. And of these hotels this is the nicest. It's got great amenities, friendly staff and very comfortable rooms at a reasonable price.

I didn't like the pillows supplied.

I take my family on hotel stays every now and then and when Hotel.com prompted me with the promotion from M Hotel, I thought I'd give it a try. Getting there and the parking facilities were not a problem at all. Checking-in took a while but was manageable. The room was small and crampy, and I made a mental note that it isn't suitable for a family of […] 4. The bedlinens had slits and torn areas which my son noticed. There were only 3 pillows provided for the 2 double beds, and when we asked for more, the Housekeeping department replied that they had insufficient pillows and could not provide extras. The tv channels provided reasonable choices for all of us, which was good. But there were no toothbrushes nor bubble-bath soap available. When my hungry 10 year old wanted snacks, the surrounding neighbourhood had none to offer. To sum it all up, not ideal for family staycations but will be great for business travellers. Lees meer

There is contraction going next to the hotel, Jackhammer was loud, started from 8.30 until 6.30 pm, my room was nice, the staff are nice. But if I wanted to get some rest Mid day for slep in it was very nosey in the my room. I think this will be going on for few months.

Very happy with the hotel bec staff. Was very friendly and service quick. We were upgraded to a de luxe room thanks to hideo at the front desk. However breakfast is always the same but quality of food still ok. The hotel smells so good , lobby and room.

Was at the M hotel for 6 nights with my wife and 3 year old child. THe hotel is in the heart of the business district and that comes with a price. The tax fare always had a premium when entering the area. Further the metro station is about 1 km away hence not a walk with a child. The hotel staff are not very pleasing and never had a smile on their face. […] They made us wait for almost 2 hours although we had requested for an early check in. The breafeast buffet is the same everyday and very displeasing for vegetarians. I guess when on a holiday there are better options to stay in the neighbouring marina bay area or near clarke quay. Only for business trips, this hotel is not really suitable for tourists and families

Having universal electric plugs is an excellent idea but they could be better sited in the room ie near the desk and not near the bed - well for laptops anyway
