The Novotel must have one of the best locations in Queenstown - right by the lake and a two minute walk into the town centre. The room was excellent and very clean. The bathroom was slightly tired, but perfectly adequate. Service from the Reception Desk, Excursion Booking Desk and valet parking were all very good.

Lovely hotel in a great central location, suitable for singels/family etc, very helpful and friendly staff. comfortable rooms Wide selection of good quality food on offer. Would definately revisit/reccommend to others

We stayed at the Novotel Lakeside in Queenstown in April 2012. Absolutely loved it! Staff were fantastic, it was close to everything. Will stay there again next time we are there.

Cannot believe it was necessary to have repairs carried out on a peak holiday weekend! The incessant drilling and sawing took the pleasure away from a great stay in a comfortable hotel which has a great location!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was well maintained. Only thing that went wrong was a fire alarm in the wee hours of the morning, which can't be helped. The hotel staff did their best under the circumstances and most guests were in good spirits about the experience. All in all a good place to stay.

This hotel is very well positioned to all the shopping and dining in Queenstown. What I found best of all was the most helpful and knowledgable staff, right from the front desk, porters, dining room staff and lost luggage. They all made for a very comfortable stay.

Very good quality accomodation, only 2 concerns - the breakfast room was on the 1st flr & there was no lift, it was an effort for my 81 yr old father to climb the stairs every morning. Our room faced the road - noisy, would have preferred facing the rose garden.

We came to this hotel in the summer and found out that only a few slected rooms had air conditioning. When asked to be moved away from the west side of the hotel to a room where the evening sun would not shine into the room was not granted to us. Sunset is 9:30 at night. We stayed here 3 nights while exploring the area. It's a big hotel but the service was excellent. The rooms were large with comfortable beds. The location can't be beat, right on the lake in town. Walking distance to all the restaurants and the gondola. Valet parking at $15 a day was well worth it. We didn't need the car. They also have 2 computers […] near the lobby for guests to use for free. It was rare to get free internet access in New Zealand. We stayed in 2 standard rooms and the ac/heater units worked fine. The 2 rooms were on the first floor and ours had a little seating area outside through sliding glass doors. All around an excellent choice at a reasonable price. Lees meer

close to the action ... only major complaint is the internet service ... very costly and undependable ... better option is to buy USB wifi plug-in at Vodaphone or Telecom a few blocks away ... food is good and room condtion good ... staff friendly but particularly knowledgeable as most workers are not local, but transient Europeans

The hotel is situated right on the lake and walking distance to everything you want - shopping, restaurants etc. The staff were all very pleasant and the valet parking was fantastic, even though that cost a little extra. the location is perfect. the staff was very nice and you got access to internet everyday, which was terrific. A place to stay at for sure :)

My daughter, her friend, and I were in Queenstown to try all the adventures we could - and the hotel concierges were fantastic at setting us up with excellent adventures. Very helpful and knowledgeable. The room was comfortable, if a little small for the 3 of us, and location excellent.

The hotel is brilliantly located by the lake and we enjoyed being able to make the most of the sheltered outdoor space and gardens. We did have one problem due to staff carelessness but when brought to the hotel's attention they were apologetic, understanding and quickly brought about a resolution, which really impressed. Everything is good just the reception wrote my name wrng and put mr instead of ms. Lake view room is not quit necessary as there are quit few trees in front of the lake ,so maybe just choose garden view or city view to save some money next time.overall is a great hotel

We were very impressed with the Lakeside Hotel - very convenient location, excellent friendly service, great rooms. Ovrall it was very good value fro money. Would highly recommend.

An unexpected occasion (YHA's and backpackers were overbooked) but, finally, for new years eve, a very pleasant place to stay, very calm and secure, very well located. The main problem is that you are in Queenstown like you would be in Mexico, Paris or Sydney : no "soul" in this novotel, no specific kiwi character.

Novotel Queenstown is a stone's throw to all that Queenstown has to offer, be that the Lake, Pubs, Eateries, arranging tours or activities. No need even for a car! Stayed as a family, 2 adults and 2 children. Room was a little on the small side for 4, but hardly spent any time in the room, and the convenience of the location on Lake Wakatipu and the […] hearty breakfasts made up for the smaller room. Nice hotel great location but of course overpriced as it was New Years Eve

A great location and staff and that's all that it really has going for it. My paper work told me I was getting a jet bath and an air conditioned room. It was a normal bath and a portable fan. The room Was quite small.

The hotel is right by the lakeside and close to the town but in a quiet street, so you have the best of both worlds. Breakfast is very expensive and not worth having if you don't have it included in your room rate.

Plus a reasonable price. I would stay there again.

Everything was excellent. Staff was extremely helpful, and rooms were great.

What more can I say?Novotel had the best location to access garden , mall , shops, playground and the beautiful lake. Service was excellent . Friendly and well trained staff who met all your needs with a smile. Concierge service was terrific especially Douglas who played with my kids and was so warm and friendly to make our 7 day stay comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the center of Queenstown, just next to the Queenstown Gardens. Ask for a room towards the back, especially on weekends, as the street can be noisy with late night revelers. The hotel room is standard, very clean. Great location, directly on the lake, stunning scenery. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel rooms felt a little dated. The bathtub was very shallow for taking a bath. The location was very convenient with easy access to the garden, lakeside, and the town centre. Breakfast included was nice with plenty of selections. I also appreciated the 30mins free wifi internet per day in public areas. The staff were helpful also. We throughly enjoyed our 3 nights stay in Novotel. Although the room was a bit small, we stayed in a superior overlooking the inner coutyard/garden, it was clean and modern. The location is unbeatable as it is just next to lake wakatipu, queenstown gardens and right smack in the town center - shopping and cafes, all a very short stroll away. Parking […] overnight is a breeze at wilson's car park or valet, or you may enjoy free parking at the public parking just in front of the hotel between 6pm to 9am the next day. Lees meer

Queenstown is an awesome town and what better way to enjoy the nearby ski fields, bars, clubs, pubs and fine food than by staying right in the heart of the CBD. The Novotel is in a perfect location by the water, with great views. Our room was modern and well appointed. The best shower we've had anywhere in NZ which counts for lots after a long day on […] the slopes. The bed honestly was not the most comfortable I've ever slept it, but I think that's just because I prefer a harder mattress. Other than this small detail the Novotel is a top notch place! Lees meer
