Greenwood Inn & Suites Calgary in Calgary

No complaints or negative issues during my 3 night stay. The surroundings were quiet, the rooms were clean, and the staff was friendly. On-site restaurant service was good, plenty of ammenities were close-by. The pool and gym were plain and simple but kept neat and tidy.

It was a working stay for me and I really appreciated that the hotel staff observed the "do not disturb" sign on my door and didn't interrupt my work at any time. I appreciated the restaurant and lounge right in the hotel. Saturday night is "all you can eat crab" night and I took full advantage of excellent crab.The only critique I would have was that […] the top sheet on my bed had what appeared to be a cigarette burn in it and the fans and air conditioners just outside my window on the second floor were quite loud. The smell of smoke was pretty strong in my room, even though I think it was a non-smoking room. Truthfully, I assumed that all rooms were now non-smoking rooms, unless one asked otherwise. I was pretty disappointed with that, and I could smell a lot of cigarette smoke in the hallways as well. they took out the vending machines :( they closed the gift shop :( I was hungry and didn't want to go to the restaurant but there were no options! if you close the gift store, bring back the vending machine.

Ive stayed here plenty in the past - This stay, I was unfortunate to be checked in onto a smoking floor. I woke up at 4:30am to the smell of cigarette smoke. When I enquired about it at checkout, they told me that hotels.com and expedia etc. will book these rooms - but not tell customers. We we're not happy in our overnight stay at Greenwood Inn. Room 312 smells and was not properly cleaned. We found an empty bottle of mouthwash at the side of the bed and cigarette ashes on the styro cup provided in that room. My daughter asked for some hot water and when we took the top styro cup, the second at the bottom has lots of cigarette ashes. […] We brought this matter to the front desk...she said she will inform the housekeeping supervisor and expect for a call but nobody did or maybe they just ignored us. She even said, I could have give you some discount for the inconvenience but you already paid in full, "sorry"... I deeply appreciate the kindness of the staff who sent the toothpaste in our room. We travelled far and chosen this hotel for our passport renewal convenience but it doesnt seem worth for refferal. Lees meer

Found the room to be average, the 2nd floor I was on smelled like a smoker's lounge, although I booked a non smoking room. Had a rash of cars broken into on the last night of my stay but I was told the theif was caught by the authorities. Over all the room was ok but I have stayed in much better for less money.

Hotel is acceptable for a brief stay. Big room, spacious. Heating system was noisy.

I was looking for a place near the airport. Although there were no rooms available on the Greenwood site, I was able to get it through Expedia.

The rooms were clean and well kept. The restaurant was pity full. Morning smorg was always the same and service sucked. There are lots of quality restaurants close by to choose from. The place is a great place to stay but suggest eating elsewhere.

Hotel is getting pretty run down. Very disappointed in the restaurant. I was sat at a table with dirty dishes. No one came over to offer coffee or take my order. Finally got up and just left.

Average hotel - not bad. If you need to use your room as a meeting room, get a room with a single bed since two beds take up much of the space. Furniture was somewhat dated and scuffed. Bathroom fixtures also looked older however the bathroom was very clean. I only ate breakfast in the attached restaurant which was very good although later in the morning, […] you may have to wait a little longer for freshly cooked food. One of the elevators was also out of service. The shuttle from the airport is free however the shuttle to the airport costs $5.00. Be sure to request the shuttle to the airport the night before you leave. It is similar to a Super Shuttle in that it services several hotels in the area. Lees meer

Overall from check-in to check-out our experience was dreadful. We found hairs in our beds; the toilet was plugged; the tub was dirty; the sink had burn marks on the counter - in a non-smoking room; the air -conditioner blew hot or cold - no medium and it was noisy; beds were supposed to be Queen size but we still feel they were double. The hotel was located quite a way out of Calgary but was close to the airport. The room we were originally allocated was close to the air conditioning and noisy but they moved us straight away. Staff were pleasant and quite helpful.

Check-in staff was almost rude. Room was not that clean. The was 6 cop cars and 8 city police in the lobby the next morning. Some carry on from guests. Not impressed.

Nice hotel, very clean. Kids liked pool and hottub was clean and well-maintained. Beds were quite hard in our opinion but overall nice stay.

This hotel is very comfortable. Location is good even for us who did not have a car. We were able to take the bus and train to downtown Calgary. It is close to the airport - just 10 min. The shuttle was full when we were leaving and the front desk staff did not hesitate to call us a taxi.
