The first suite that my wife and I got was dirty. The sheets were pulled up on the bed and seemed new, but otherwise there was food on the floor, all through the suite, a curtain was half pulled down from one of the windows, and more. But when we complained the hotel staff upgraded us to a new, nicer (and clean) room, which was great. The non-housekeeping […] staff couldn't have been better. However, the folks with housekeeping need a serious, serious talking to, and somebody not with housekeeping needs to check their work (or non-work). Otherwise the place overall is nice. What I assume to be the Night Staff's boyfriend spend both nights that we stayed at the counter play boxing, talking and laughing with the staff. I had problems with the internet the first time were there and she brushed it off saying she had no idea why we had such a bad connection... no offer to move us or anything. During that time, someone called […] down asking for an extra set of blankets, she said they were in the closet, (obviously they weren't) she then said she was really busy but would bring them up when she could. The hotel isn't 100% pristine condition, the bathroom was old, rust the hinges, mold around the edge of the bathtub, and the freezer was very smelly. The swimming pool was nice, but unfortunately there was a group of adults and children that thought it was appropriate to constantly cannon-ball into the pool, over and over again, so we were unable to enjoy the pool (along with the "free internet"). this hotel is a great value. we have stayed in it twice. however, the rooms are starting to show their age. the furniture (we always stay in the two-bedroom suite) is starting to fray and look dirty. the kitchen does not have much in it. for example there was exactly one knife - and it was small, so eating slicing bread with it was somewhat challenging […] and there wasn't much silverware. i had to call down to the front desk a number of times to get things that we needed in the kitchen. otherwise the staff is friendly, and the rooms are clean. my kids love the pool. Clean and comfortable room. Furniture was a bit old, but still nice to sit in. Internet access was fast. Rooms were quiet on the sides, but you could hear anybody walking around above you in the bathrooms. Everybody that worked there was very nice and helpful. Free breakfast was also pretty good. Our stay was very comfortable. It is very close to the U of M's north campus and conveniently located close to the highway. Room is very clean, and it had a full kitchen which added to the convenience. They serve a decent hot breakfast, and an evening snack which is perfect for a traveller. We were disappointed about this hotel's overall quality. Our room was not made up after the first day. The bed was not made and there were no fresh towels. Apparently this is the hotel's policy, but we were not told about it. Also, there were no remotes for the tv's. Well, this trip started off all wrong at check in. The young lady at the front counter insisted that I had a balance due when I booked through hotels.com. I kindly explained that I booked through hotels.com and that would be why there is likely a credit card already on the account. I asked if she would like my card for incidentals and she insisted that […] they would bill everything to the Mastercard on file. I just asked if she was sure and she copped an attitude from there... So that T'd me off. Then when I arrived in my room, I found that the bed was not long enough for my 6'5" frame to fit in. Whatever, it happens. The proceeding morning, I go to take a shower and there is mold in the caulk bead at the top of the shower... All along... Just poor cleaning/maintenance. The TV's were old tube style (again no big deal but, not expected based on the rating). After the first day, the other days were not descript. I found the rest of the staff at the hotel to be quite nice and the rest of the trip went A-Ok! Lees meer

Hotel was marginal at best. The place appears worn and neglected. Our furniture was ripped and covered in dog hair and although we requested that they vacuum it up, they never did.

The hotel room is spacious, has a separate bed room, kitchen and living area, 2 TVs, and a large bathroom, closet etc. However, condition of bathroom is bad. Broken floor tiles, broken sink etc. It took me 15mins to figure out how to plug the tub drain. Obviously, it needs upgrade. Location is convenient to north campus. However, there is nothing around […] the hotel except a swamp. If you need food, you have to drive somewhere else. Kitchen seems fully functional (haven't used it). Fitness centre needs a serious update too. Treadmills are probably 20-30 years. They don't have even a cup holder. All the TVs in the hotel are still CRTs. Bed is comfy, AC startup is noisy, but if u keep fan "on" always, it'll blend in. Overall, it's OK hotel, but looks very old, requiring update in several aspects. Lees meer

Very nice hotel. Pool was huge (like big enough to have several families with kids in the pool at once!) We had a two-bedroom suite, and it was fantastic. We did enjoy our stay, the only comments I have are that the couch and chair required cleaning (many stains) in our room the refrigerator was not working well , freezer was OK, I did mention to the hotel staff on mmy departure of the problem. Overall stay was good and I would return again

Very good value! Nice complimentary breakfast, newspapers. Nice personnel at reception. Not all the suites are actually "suites" with bedroom and living room separated by a wall and door. When we complained to reception, they quickly moved us and were very kind about it, but keep this in mind. The room was clean enough but things were worn (i.e., cheap and worn furniture, old TV.) except that the hall rug and walls looked newer than the room. Would be better to have flat screens mounted on the wall that take up less space. The bed was not very comfortable. The kitchen sink was the size of a bar sink and there was no oven. I wouldn't call […] this a kitchen per se. However, the staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was your typical 'breakfast included' fair but it was fine. The suites were spacious and allowed our 3 and 1 year old grandchildren room to play, nap, and eat meals. The kitchens were well equipped. We had space to visit with extended family. We also could reach downtown Ann Arbor within 10 minutes. There was. Grocery store right next door and plenty of restaurants nearby.

My son and I just recently stayed at this hotel. He was having surgery so we went down the night before and stayed the day of as well. I stayed for an interview at the Children's Hospital. It was a rather large room (suite) with couch and kitchenette. And the included full american breakfast (eggs-boiled and scrambled, bacon, toast, bagels, muffins, waffles, juice...) also includes rice, miso soup and kimchi. There's dinner too, but I did not have the opportunity to try. Indoor swimming […] pool and gym. 5 minute walk to a very good middle eastern restaurant, quizno's and CVS. The room was very clean and the kitchenette includes utensils and cookware (all ready to use). The biggest plus for me is the shuttle to the children's hospital. Overall, a terrific value for the price! Great service, amenities and extras that other neighboring hotels do not provide! Lees meer

Actual hotel was very nice and got very good price for suite. Room was comfortable and surrounding area was quiet. Kids enjoyed the nice size pool. Breakfast was ok. Buffet style, so food was sitting there luke warm, but did offer more of a selection than your typical hotels do. Would stay here again.

There was a stain under the sheet, we removed it to find a quarter sized blood stain on the mattress cover. The maid service was very nice and corrected the problem, but this should never happen. The carpet was dusty in the corner of the rooms. They were slow to bring new food out at breakfast and the food was terrible. Positives: Very nice pool area […] and huge rooms. Stayed in a two room suite with kitchen. Roomy living room and kitchen area. Bedrooms a bit cramped as furnished. Bedding very nice. Appliances looking old. Location off away from downtown and central campus, but close to tech areas and north campus. Pricey stay but we were there over a Thanksgiving and home football game weekend.

Was able to share w/ an old friend and each have our separate bedroom and bathroom, but the common area was a big plus--esp the fireplace on a cold rainy night after the football game! Comfy beds, spacious bathroom and lots of amenities! Wish it were closer to campus, but not a bad drive even during rush hour.

Remember this hotel is rated at 2.5. As a customer this is a 5 for a 2.5 hotel. The staff was as good as we could expect. Our room had a complete kitchen yet the free breakfast was good enough to forget the kitchen. There are free evening meals during weekdays however we always out until after the dinner. Then we appreciated the kitchen. For us coffee […] is important and our room did not have the toy 4 cup maker but a regular size one that gave us the amount of what we enjoy. It was quiet however the quantity and quality of the guests may have something to do with the quiet. This hotel is very close to the U of M campus and so a home game of any sport may change the atmosphere of the hotel. So there were some broken tiles in the bath room, signs of wear here and there but it was clean and friendly. If you need a 5 star hotel this is not for you. If you want to be treated well , have clean rooms then yes. Very close to ( 6 minutes) to Ann Arbor and a grocery store almost within walking distance. Lees meer

My daughter and I stayed the night to go to the Ann Arbor art fair. The hotel was clean, had and awesome pool and hot tub, and our room was great. The p.m. male desk clerk on that Friday night ( I am sorry that I do not know his name.) was very friendly and helped us get our DVD programmed properly because my dau. and I are lacking in that technical […] area. He was great and "high-fived" us cause we were all so excited that we got it going! We all laughed for awhile. Thank you. I appreciate the complementary shuttle to the art fair. We originally reserved a room with one queen bed for a one night stay during Art Fair and were pleasantly surprised when we walked in to a fairly large room with a kitchenette. The bed ended up being a full but we were so delighted by the rest of the room that we weren't too concerned. Nice bathroom area as well with the toilet and shower in one room […] and the sink and mirror outside of it (nice when more than one person is getting ready to go somewhere). They offered a very nice complementary breakfast with a wide variety. The hotel itself was not too far from the Ann Arbor downtown district either. Didn't have time to use the pool or exercise room but they both looked very nice. My only complaints were that the pillows were lumpy and our kitchen light was out (both of which we reported on our comment card that was otherwise full of compliments). Overall very happy with the hotel and our stay and the price we paid was very reasonable when split between the two of us, especially for the quality. Wish we could have stayed there longer. The hotel was conveniently located to the highway, restaurants, and even a grocery store. Even though the carpet was a little dingy, we didn't feel it was due to dirt, but, just a little older. The room was very nice with a full kitchen, a smaller sitting room with a desk area, a good size seperate bedroom, and a nice bathroom. After a long hot day […] at the Racetrack, we were more then ready to relax at the pool and hot tub!! In the morning, the Breakfast Buffet was an amazing surprise.
