Holiday Inn Leeds Bradford in Bradford

Met up with our son & family for friends’ christening.Friendly receptionist welcomed us on arrival. Our room was comfortable & clean. Our son's executive suite was large & roomy but had to ask for the pre-ordered cot to be brought up. Unfortunately for us there was a wedding on & other guests were neglected. Weather was awful so we went for tea which […] was cold by the time it came. Lounge was small & we left this once the wedding came in. Decided to eat in pub along the road but it was fully-booked, so we had to eat at the hotel. Did this in two shifts to give our son & his wife a meal on their own whilst we baby-sat. Went down first at opening time, but had to find someone to open up, who then disappeared for ages before we could order drinks & same happened with our food which was a long time arriving. As the only couple in the restaurant we were evidently forgotten about. Food was nice but service very poor. It was the same for our son & his wife when they eventually got down. The corridor lights in our part of the hotel were out so we had to "feel" our way back to our room. Breakfast staff unprepared for anyone to be down for opening time but they were helpful & pleasant & breakfast was very good. Delayed booking out as credit card machine packed up. Being in a hurry, we managed to settle up & go. Only discovered later they had charged 10% service on restaurant bill – not asked to sign anything at the time nor given opportunity to check bill before we paid - a bit naughty Lees meer

when i told the waiter that my girlfiends chicken was half raw instead of a sorry was given a smirk.he then entered the kitchen and as if it was a joke 2 him shouted out "the chicken is raw " followed by a laugh .at no time did i get an explaination or an apology.

Good location. A little dated. Far more more comfortable than your standard Holiday Inn and great to have a proper breakfast rather than the standard scambled eggs and sausage.

This is the second time that me and my wife have stayed here and had no problems what so ever. Staff were very helpfull, our room was very nice and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent, We will stay here again next time we are staying overnight

Writing as someone who runs a small scale accommodation business I was very disapointed wth the Leeds/Bradford Holiday Inn. The decor and hotel are tired and either need a recvamp or closure.

As you would expect with Holiday Inn the hotel was an acceptable standard but nothing out of the ordinary. I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years even before it was a Holiday Inn and I can honestly say the rooms are exactly the same - so maybe time for an update. My main grumble as with all Holiday Inn hotels is internet access is chargeable,so […] if you need internet access for work then find another hotel as there are pleanty who charge the same and provide this service. The food was ok but again nothing outstanding and the breakfast is the usual mass produced pre cooked rubbish that chain hotels churn out. I would recommend the pub just down the road for an evening meal - better food, better beer and cheaper! Lees meer

Have stayed here a few times and have found no problems on any occasion, although as one of the very few hotels that still allowed smoking rooms this is now longer the case, slight disappointment there but not a huge issue as everything else was fine.

when arriving we was early they kindly put us into a room to get ready as we was heading into leeds, but advised us that on our return we would be in a quieter room upstairs. we returned late that evening and to there word our stuff had been moved to a nice clean room well worth the money and very happy with our stay would return without hesitation. […] julie from essex Lees meer
