We hadden een kamer met uitzicht op de tropische tuin, prachtig. Kamer van alle gemakken voorzien. Wel veel problemen gehad bij het inchecken: men vroeg om onze creditcard als borg voor eventuele uitgaven die wij tijdens ons verblijf zouden maken. Onze card werkte echter niet en dat werd als een (abnormaal) groot probleem gezien; ondanks dat wij aanboden om tot 500 dollar cash te 'betalen'; men wilde ons zelfs in 1e instantie als gast weigeren, terwijl het hotel natuurlijk al via hotels.com betaald was. Zeer onaangenaam en men ging pas meewerken nadat we erg hebben opgespeeld; uiteindelijk 100 dollar borg betaald. Geen leuk begin van een verder overigens prima verblijf daar.

Prima locatie om van daaruit San Diego te ontdekken. Naar o.a. de Zoo, het Balbaopark en ophaaladres van huurauto gebracht en opgehaald met shuttledienst van het hotel, ideaal. Schone kamer, van alle gemakken voorzien. Redelijk ontbijt met plastic bordjes en bestek.

Heerlijk hotel, niet ver van Sea World, San Diego Zoo, uss Midway, Gaslamp, Old Town en het strand. Allemaal binnen acceptabele tijd per auto te bereiken. Super mooi hotel met ruime kamers. Het is wel een gehorig hotel, wat vooral in het weekend lawaai met zich mee bracht van buren. Door de weeks was de marine aan de overkant van het water met trainingen bezig. Dit vonden wij niet heel storend, maar het geluid is er wel. Verder zit ontbijt er niet bij in en is heel duur als je dat nog bij wilt nemen. Dat is echt een minpunt. Als je dit hotel boekt, hou er rekening mee dat het twee locaties zijn. Wij zaten in de tower en het 'grotere gebeuren' was verder op. We hadden wel een lobby, servicebalie, restaurant en verwarmd zwembad, dus dat is prima voor elkaar. De starbucks en de grote lobby van de foto's zit in het andere gedeelte. De kamers zijn echt super ruim! We hadden een ruim zitgedeelte en eettafel erbij, en dat voor een gewone kamer. Uitzicht op zee was erg mooi.
Ligging.
Days Inn Encinitas ligt in Encinitas. Plaatselijke bezienswaardigheden zijn onder andere Legoland Californië en Racebaan Del Mar. Een andere bezienswaardigheid in de omgeving is Staatsstrand Torrey Pines.
Accommodatievoorzieningen.
Days Inn Encinitas heeft een buitenzwembad en een seizoensgebonden buitenzwembad. Een draadloze internetverbinding is gratis beschikbaar in openbare ruimtes. De accommodatie beschikt over een een businesscentrum. Elke ochtend wordt gratis ontbijt geserveerd. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een wasserij, gratis kranten in de lobby en een lift. Gasten kunnen gratis parkeren.
Hotelkamers.
Bij Days Inn Encinitas zijn kamers met airconditioning voorzien van onder andere een kluis en een gratis krant. Gasten hebben een gratis draadloze internetverbinding op de kamer. Elke televisie heeft kanalen via de kabel.
Elke kamer heeft een magnetron, een koelkast en een koffiezetapparaat/waterkoker. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere een föhn en een strijkplank/strijkijzer.
Afhankelijk van het hotelbeleid kan voor extra personen een toeslag worden aangerekend.
Bij het inchecken dien je in het geval van incidentele kosten een erkend identiteitsbewijs en een creditcard voor te leggen.

In Carlsbad groeien vele boterbloemen. Deze bloemen bedekken 50 are van de The Flower Fields bij Carlsbad Ranch. In het naburige Museum of Making Music behoren Amerikaanse composities en instrumenten tot de interessantheden. Oceanside, direct ten noorden, is het middelpunt tussen Los Angeles en San Diego. Deze kustplaats staat bekend om haar 600 meter lange pier, de langste houten pier aan de westkust. Het themapark Legoland is nabij.

I have stayed here several times and always find it to be a nice stop. It is near my delivery site and is clean and safe. The property is older but has been remodeled. The carpets are in need or cleaning, but the beds are comfortable. This was our free night and that was a great blessing. Wish the breakfast had fewer carbs though.
"Good hotel for the price and location"
This is a great hotel if all you need is a place to crash. As I was attending all day conferences nearby, I only needed a place to sleep and clean up. The room was small but served my needs. Breakfast was nothing to write home about, but at least it was something (bagel, coffee, orange juice, cereal). The room comes with a fridge, microwave and coffee […] maker, which was also a plus. "Won't stay there again"
It was raining I had to walk up two flights of stairs that were not protected from the rain the roof run off poured down the stairwell and soaked me and the clothes that I was carry for work the next day. They would let us into the lobby to check. I had to check in at an outside window. Like the title says, I won;t stay there again !!!

On the positive side, the location of the hotel is convenient for me. Guest service is fine. The rooms are very clean. On the negative side, the air system in the rooms is poor (the rooms are very stuffy). The space inside the rooms are way too small. TV channels selection was very limited.
"Good clean cheap room"
The first night I stayed in a room that had a noisy heating/ac unit. The next day I asked to have another room and they were very accommodating. I moved into a new room and the new unit was much quieter allowing me to have a more pleasant sleep. It is very close to the main strip of shops and restaurants. It is close to I-5 and suprisingly is not that […] noisy. I would recommend staying perhaps in the middle of the hotel or closer to the other end , further away from I-5 and facing the morning sun. "Nice place Great location"
The Rooms are OK, clean but a bit small. The location is good for the price and if you stay on the 3rd floor the view of the area not bad

This is one of the best hotels I stayed in. its v.ery convenient to the highway and other restaurants. The hotel staff was very friendly as well. Would definitely recommend and stay at this hotel again

By far the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in, noisy, refrigerator kept us awake, stained and worn upholstry and rug. Management was nice, decent continental breakfast.

I enjoyed my recent stay at the Days Inn in Encinitas. It was close to the the beach, shops, restaurants etc... It included a nice breakfast and the rooms were tidy. The freeway is nearby so if your a light sleeper-bring some earplugs. All in all an exceptional value, I'll be back.

"Very Clean!"
You can't read a book by it's cover! This hotel doesn't look great from the outside, but the inside was very clean and nice. The area surrounding was very safe. It is conveniently located next to a Denny's, Wendy's, Subway, and Little Caesar's. The beach is just a few minute walk away. Great place to stay!
"Nice Gem"
One of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. Great value. Room was very clean and staff were polite and professional. Close to the beach, legoland, and a short drive to San Diego.

I simply needed a place to stay in order to be near an early morning appointment. Seemed clean and comfortable, and staff was friendly.

Cost effective, clean and close to the beach. The rooms are pretty basic, but the service is very accommodating and awesome.

This hotel was conveiniently located just west of I-5, half a mile from the beach,15 minute walk to shopping and dining. "Very Convenient"
We visited our daughter who lives just a mile away. The hotel was great as a base. Very comfortable bed - clean room - warm cookies upon arrival. Denny's is right next door (it was ok) but there were any number of restaurants in downtown Encinitas that are great.

If you are just looking for a place to sleep, this is a good hotel. Close to freeway but not so close as to be noisy. Denny's nearby so breakfast is easy and the shower and bed were actually pretty good for the type of hotel. This is my third or fourth stay here. Unfortunately, my visit has been for medical reasons and not for fun, but the motel is right off the I-5, the beach and Leggoland.

Encinitas is just north of the VERY PRICEY La Jolla and Del Mar communities. We needed to be near the Scripps-Green Hospital and this Days Inn fit the bill. We only needed a clean and comfortable place to sleep for two nights.
