Great for the purpose of my stay for an overnight bed to sleep in and catch a cruise line the next day. Check in was fast and made easy even though it was a 10pm arrival. Shuttle drivers both from the airport and going to cruise terminal were punctual and pleasant.

We took a look at the room, and told the desk clerk that we were unsatisfied with the room due to it being unclean - there were dirty handprints on all the doors and the walls, and hair in the bathroom. He offered us another room, but we did not even look at the other room, as we knew it would be as unclean. Very clean and comfortable

Ok for what we paid for this hotel.

First of all, the hotel failed to pick us up at the airport as agreed. We waited for over 2 hours, and everytime I called the Hotel, I was told driver would be there shortly, but no one showed. We gave up and got ground trans. to the hotel. I paid $26.00 for that transportation. the hotel manger admitted they drop the ball, so the hotel gave me back […] only $13.00. Splitting the cost. The hotel employee wasn't honest to me about when the shuttle van was coming to pick us up at the airport, he also said he had no communication with the driver, yet the drivers have cell phones. I will never use that hotel again. I shouldn't had to pay anything for transportation to the hotel. Lees meer

The hotel was in sad shape, our room was not clean at all and the air conditioning unit sounded like it was going to die. It didnt keep the room cool. Our bathroom smelled like urine, we didnt even attempt to take a shower there it was so nasty. There were only a couple of places to sit in the lobby for breakfast and the chairs outside were falling […] apart. Really bad conditioned hotel. Needs complete make over. Lees meer

Had to carry my own bags up stairs. I was also a bit disappointed that my room only had a shower and no bathtub when the room description said I'd have one. Overall though can't really complain though. I had free wi ti, a trudge and a microwave. Also the bed was Comfortable. You could do far worse for a one night stay :)

I think my review title says it all. 1. cleanliness - I've never been so skeeved out in my life and I've stayed in some pretty shady, cheap places. We only stayed one night and thankfully arrived late and left early - didn't even shower and like the title says slept fully clothed. 2. maintenance - I've seen some old but decently maintained hotels in […] my life. The operators of this one are just plain lazy: a) there was graffiti in the bed headboard, b) the bathroom door handle was loose (we were surprised how it held on), c) they took off the paper border off the walls, but didn't bother to paint over the spot, d) the window curtain came off in certain areas and was hanging crooked hanging on only in some spots. e) the lamp shades looked like they were last cleaned in the 20th century - were unbelievably dirty and stained. So we decided that the hotel operators don't care about the place. The above-mentioned items could be fixed with some work and a little bit of money. 3. breakfast - was a joke. there isn't any place to even sit. There was a small corner with coffee and some mediocre bagels and muffins in the reception area and that's it. Doesn't even come close to being a continental breakfast. The entrance to the check-in area is rigged with this awful sensor that makes a terribly loud noise every time someone passes by – pretty much enough to give someone a heart attack. The problem is that if you have several people going in and out for breakfast, etc, it becomes almost unbearable. 4. Hotel staff – pretty rude. I called for the shuttle from the airport and the manager said that they will be there shortly – what he failed to mention was that the shuttle goes between several Econolodge sister properties and between several terminals so it might be a while. After about 40 minutes I called again to make sure we are waiting in the right area. The guy says “go stand under the sign ‘airport parking’ to the right of the terminal exit”. It's far from everything & it DIRTY!!!! There was a dead ROACH under the covers in one of the beds in my room & when this was brought to the attention of management the response was "Oh okay"???? Never again will we stay there!!!! We cut our visit short due to this room

Based on location and price of hotel stay, will definetly use this hotel for future travel to Hollywood Florida.

I cannot believe Econo Lodge would even have their name associated with this motel. I have stayed in Econo Lodge motels previously that were very nice so I had no worries about booking this motel/hotel. However, it was so filthy and run down that if we would have had another option and had not already paid in advance, there is no way we would have stayed […] there. The only good thing about our stay was free shuttles to and from the airport and cruise terminal. We travel a lot and in all our years of travel, there has never been a worse kept place. Doors opened to the outside, many had no working locks, extremely dirty from top to bottom, rooms smelled bad and some were so bad they kept the doors open to ventilate. Bedspreads were filthy, some of them had holes in them. Outside chairs around the pool had holes in the seats and everyone we talked to who was staying there couldn't believe how a place like that was even open. The outside appearance was not good and we questioned the driver if it was the right place. However, the outside was even better than the inside, which we didn't think was possible. It is not worth staying there even though there is free shuttle services. I'm extremely disappointed in Econo Lodge, Hotels.com and anyone who is associated with this "Bates Motel". The blankets were not clean, the toilet did not work properly and the over all look of the room was not good. The only good thing was the service from the receptionist. Thank you

TV remote didn't work. The The staff weren't really able to answer questions about where to return rental car and weren't interested in looking up the info for us. Good thing for smart phones because the "free" WiFi also didn't work even though we weren't even the farthest room from the office.

Room was clean and well maintained. Continental breakfast left a lot to be desired.

The Internet worked great but room old and small. I guess for the money at this time of year it was just okay.

From outside hotel does not look very impressive. But very neat and tidy. Staff is helpful, and the free breakfast is decent. Wireless is also decently fast. If I had more money to spend, I would choose another hotel for the area but for my budget this time, I was very happy with this hotel.

Great place to stay for a cruise as they pick you up at the airport and shuttle you to the port..The manager was extremely helpful when we asked for infor for church. He printed out maps and info off the net for us. Breakfast was good. For the rating of the hotel we were happy. We stayed Dec. 3, 2011.

stayed there for free shuttle service to/from airport and cruise terminal. The shuttle was very prompt and ran later than most, which was why this hotel was chosen. Hotel is in less desirable area but for the purpose I uses it for it was adequate.

we arrived at night and it was pouring rain. The area did not look great but was actually OK. manager gave us his umbrella to use for trips back and forth to car. Room was big, but think it was upgrade because he was not sure our room had been cleaned. "Good" cheap clean motel room. I was looking for hotels in and around Miami which is chepaer and since I had previous experience of staying with Econo lodge in Niagara and New mexico I went ahead and booked it at this location. I was shocked that Econo group can have such badly maintained hotels, the Cleanliness is very poor, the walls of the room have marks, the toilet is so badly […] ,maintained and unhelathy. The worst part is the water pressure in the shower goes down when the wash basin is opened. If you are ready to spend $30 extra I would auggest to go for some other hotel in this location. Lees meer

This was perhaps that dirtiest hotel I've ever stayed in. The room was cramped, the bathroom nasty and the whole place was terrible. There are other options around... avoid this place place if you can afford it.

Overall a fine place to spend the night. Definitely dated. Needs a coffee maker. Had a fridge. Poor first impressions when you drive up and see the tall fence and lack of parking. I didn't like the neighborhood.

For what we paid for the room, we were very satisfied. Nice big room with tv, free shuttle service, and close enough to walk to get a cheap dinner from quiznos or little ceasers. For what we paid, it was great.

I wouldnt allow my worse enemy to stay here. This was a waste of my money. Terrible rooms -5star hotel.

Nice updated shower. good value. parking a little difficult.

The proximity of this hotel to the airport makes it a great place to stay a night or two when making airline connections. The facilities are not great, but clean, and the staff was extremely responsive to our needs.Would stay there again.

Enjoyed our stay,. We are from Massachusetts. Will go back. That's how I picked the hotel from previous reviews.

do not stay Big waist of money, disrespectful service front desk made me feel like i was unwelcome and unappreciated . NEVER AGAIN STAY FAR AWAY !!!

This is a very nice hotel and the owners keep it up. The room was spotless and the outside was clean. The employess were pleasent and helpful. I would recommend this to anyone needing a good place to stay the night. The neighborhood looked iffy, We went to the store after midnight and the folks hanging on the streets gave me the feeling of ¨be care […] ful¨ Lees meer

The hotel is about 10 minutes from the FLL airport. Unfortunately the hotel is in poor condition. The front desk person was very nice but the rooms are in bad shape. We took showers while standing on towels because of the mildew on the tile. While the price is appealing, I would pay the extra $20 and stay elsewhere.

At the beginning it was shocking. It wasn’t what I was expecting; I think that the pics that they are showing were taken years ago… however, I was able to check in prior to the room being ready. Hotel was clean neat and although going through a renovation phase it was quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. No problems during the 3 night stay that I booked. I would recommend this place for others. It's not a Marriot or a Hilton but it is comfortable and affordable.

While the building was old and a bit worn, the room was large and comfortable. It was clean and was kept clean. The refrigerator and microwave worked. We stayed at the Econo Lodge prior to leaving on a cruise. Our experience meet our expectations as we had some dining choices within walking distance of the hotel. We have stayed here previously and found it to meet our needs prior to leaving on a cruise.
