Macdonald Berystede Hotel in Ascot

This is a Lovely hotel, but very much in the need refurbishment, the rooms although comfortable are small, and tired. The bed’s are noisy and should be disposed of as a matter of urgency, the toilets are clean but very small. The TV in the room are so out of date that most folk would not give them house room. This hotel seems to popular with parties and wedding’s so if you are looking for a quite weekend or stay and some where to park , then I would look for another hotel. Lees meer

We stayed here as a family reunion so had 5 rooms 4 standard one deluxe - difference deluxe slightly bigger room and bathroom. Hotel in nice grounds good pool and gym with sunloungers outside too. The only downside to the hotel was on the Friday night there was a wedding in the suite below us and it was VERY loud till midnight then clearing up after […] till 1am so if you want peace check about weddings we felt they should have warned us. I went to collect my daughter from airport but my son said the room was shaking the noise was so loud so if you had young children it would have been dreadful. The restaurant we ate in on the Sunday evening and the menu was very small and even smaller when certain things we were told were sold out -this at 7pm!!!!! The food was okay but not as suggested AA rosette standard. We would stay here again it was well placed clean and the satff friendly but would check first about weddings or parties in the suites above the rooms and request a quiet room which to be fair they were when no events were on. We did not have breakfast as it was very expensive but there was a fab cafe in Ascot which was very good value for money and 5mins by car away. Lees meer

The location is fantastic and perhaps this is what the hotel relies on. They cater for a lot of functions so a lot of noise and access to the terrace was not avalable. Rubbish left at the entrance of the hotel. Room appeared nice, but bed squeaked taps dripped in the bathroom and moths in the cupboard! Reception staff were not well trained when dealing […] with you they were just as happy to speak with the next customer prior to finishing with you! Had a most enjoyable stay at this hotel. The service was fantastic, the staff were 1st class, the food was good. Expensive hotel but you pay for what you get. Lovely hot tub and gardens. Would highly recommend to others. Didn't avail of the Spa facilities but looked lovely.

I stayed at the macdonald hotel in bath last year which was amazing which is why we wanted to stay at another macdonald hotel this year. We were very disappointed. A majority of the staff were rude and miserable. Our room was very very dark as it was on ly lit by 2 lamps - 1 of which didn't work! the room service was £18 for 2 drinks and a sandwich […] which is rediculous. The pool is amazing but not much seating. The location is awful - there is nothing around for miles and are only 3 restaurants in fairly close proximity. One breakfast in the morning was lovely the other had very old bacon on it! overall i defeinately wouldnt recomend it but would recomend their bath hotel! Lees meer

We stayed for one night whilst attending a wedding nearby so we did not use the hotel very much. However, the deal we got with Hotels.com was excellent, check in was easy and the room perfect for what we needed. The bathroom was brand new and whist the hotel feels a little old it's in very good condition, clean and neat. We did not use the spa or restaurant […] but purely becasue we were elsewhere. Good hotel & service- lovely spa. given upgrade to large feature room which was great but air conditioning units outside window which were running all night - moved to a different room at 00:25 without any problems. becarful which roo you get Choice at breakfast poor for a 4 star hotel

fabulous spa - made the visit. can't recommend highly enough. However rooms very small - barely enough room for to. Long gloomy corridors. Stayed in new part of hotel and felt quite detached from rest of it. Rooms v warm- no air-conditioning which, in London area, is essential. Fire alarm went off twice. mentioined to receptionist who gave no apology, […] despite the fact the lift went off as a result and we had two very large and heavy bags to bring down stairs. No assistance offered. Receptionist not very engaging.Good position for what we needed so would probably stay again. Lees meer

Hotel was beautifully decorated. The charm of the original building was retained, but everything has been updated. We did not eat at the hotel or use the spa (although the services sounded wonderful) as we only had one night there and were meeting friends locally. The staff was attentive and very cordial.

Servizio eccellente, staf gentile e premuroso, camere e bagni non particolarmente spaziosi ma confortevoli, ottimo il ristorante! Centro SPA competente.
