I would not stay at again at this hotel. My room was on the 5th floor and it had a musty/mildew odor. The bathroom is very small. And the sofa was old and dirty. The beds appeared to be clean and enjoyed the oceanfront view. But could not take everything else. Had to check out the next morning. I needed a place at the last minute and booked this without seeing it. BIG mistake. The molding around the door was missing, the carpets turned your feet black and the lighting was very dim (I guess so you couldn't see the issues). The only bright side was that the pool was clean. I stayed at this hotel August 9-11th with a decent deal from hotels.com. The location was wonderful, but the hotel definitely needs some off season renovations for next season. The AC left a huge puddle of water at the entrance of our room, one night I acidentialy stepped in the puddle on the way to the bathroom completely blackening my sock. I decided […] to wear shoes in the room the rest of the days of our stay. The leaking AC made our bathroom dirty. The staff was friendly and attended to any of our needs. Our phone was not working properly so I had to see the folks at the desk for anything that required service. This hotel did not provide a kitchenette as advertized, only a microwave and refridge.. Our neighbors decided to stay up til 3AM every night, but we got them back as our small children wake up at 7AM every morning. It was an okay stay on short notice and a deal through hotels.com, but I will definitely choose another hotel for a return visit to OC MD. Lees meer

Room was clean. Bathroom was small and there was no counter space to place cosmetics, toothbrush, toothpaste, etc. Elevator was extremely hot and slow. Pool was nice, clean and in a private location. The ad for the hotel looked nice, was right where we wanted to be, but once we got there... it was not one of the most pleasant hotel rooms we ever stayed in. The room was small, a little damp smelling, had a good view of the pool, not much more. The room had 2 full beds and a full sofa bed. No sheets were there for the sofa bed, at 11:00 at night needed […] to go to office for the sheets Cleaning staff mostly spoke foreign language. Coffee service in lobby had small cups, no lids. Parking was ridiculous. I have an extended cab pickup. I parked off site almost the entire stay because I was afraid it would get struck by another vehicle manuevering through the lot. Be prepared if you go here, take a small vehicle, take spray for bed bugs, and then try to enjoy your trip. Lees meer

My family and I took a few days (two) to go to Ocean City and relax. It was our first time going there. I booked this Hotel thinking it must be good since I paid a small fortune for two nights. Boy was I wrong Upon entering our room we were struck with a foul odor,dont know what it was but could be mold from the dripping air conditioning unit above […] the door. As we investigated this room a little further we discovered a fuse box literaly two to three inches off the ground with no cover on it and located in a closet that had no door attached. My two little children immediately were focused on that fuse box. Then we noticed the carpet was so bunched that you could easily trip injuring yourself. The plaster on the ceiling was cracked and about to come down in fact prior to my arrival some of it did fall and was never repaired. The refridgerator and surrounding electrical outlets did not work. The bathroom shelf was filthy. I decided to take my family to dinner and think things over. While walking down the hall we noticed garbage througout the halls. Once back at the hotel I decided I could not keep my family at this disaster hotel so I called around and found a hotel Holiday Inn right down the street and on the beach. I told the front desk my complaints and asked if he could have the manager call me the next day. To no surprise the manager never called. We paid a little more for the Holiday Inn but it was worth it. The Holiday inn was excellent ,very nice rooms very clean excellent pools and restaurant. How Johnson I give a 0, Holiday Inn a 5. inattentive staff, elevator that you pryed you would make it in room way to small for 2 double beds and a pull out couch. Need a lot of maintance too

The Hotel was in a great location to the board walk and the beach, you only had to walk about 20 some steps and you were right on the beach and you were at the quiet end of the board walk with other hotels if you want the hussel and bussel of the board walk then you have to walk all the way up to the other end of the board walk to get to that, but the […] over all rating of the hotel was poor, it wasn't the right room from the picture and description when we booked the room but the woman manger was very nice and moved our room to an ocean front view the carpets were so dirty that we had to always wear flip flops if not your feet got so black from how dirty that carpet was, the house keeping was very poor didn't re stock on alot of items in your room, they didn't clean your room at all, they only made the beds and took your dirty towels, you have to wear flip flops in the shower because it wasn't cleaned. It wasn't a roach motel but it was ok to deal with for a couple days but I won't go back. The only thing I liked is the beach was right there and it was a family oriented hotel it wasn't like party central. Parking is very tight we had a hard time parking our mini van once we got it parked we kept it there most of the time due to not being able to get into alot of there parking spots, they do have a vending machine and ice machine but don't pack food they don't have a full size fride they have a small dorm size fridge not what the description says, and the guys at the desk are not very pleasent! Nice stay, the beds were comfortable the room was clean. Bathroom was so small and had a pedestal sink, so there was no where to put anything (toothbruses, toothpaste, cosmetics) the elevator was not air conditioned, so I took the stairs (have a bit of a phobia) and the stairs smelled like urine on every level! but atleast the room was clean. Great […] location, and the staff was very nice! I did feel like a paid too much for the room, but It was the last week in July, I don't think anything is cheap at that time. I'd recommend it to friend if they were in a pinch, but I think next year I'll go to OC later in the summer and try somewhere else. Lees meer

We stayed in an Oceanfront room, quiet end of boardwalk with a beautiful view. Overall nice place to stay. Cafe was good too, breakfast was tasty!

The bathroom could have been a little bigger. It reminded me of the bathroom on a cruise ship. There was also a weird smell in the bathroom and the toilet leaked a little bit. We just stayed for 2 nights, but if we were planning on staying longer, I would have chosen a different hotel or a condo.

The hotel was right on the boardwalk at 24th street, it was within walking distance of the shops and attractions. The room that we stayed in had two full size beds and a sleeper sofa. Six of us stayed for two nights comfortably. The room had a safe, a microwave, a fridge, and a flat screen TV. It's an older hotel and the rooms show it but hey, you're […] there for the beach... not to watch TV. The price was the most reasonable for a boardwalk hotel (and I checked them all). The hotel staff very nice, we had a enjoyable stay. The room was clean and beds were compfortable,will recommend the hotel to our friends.

Very pleasant 4th of July mid-week stay. Great location with a short walk or trolley ride to everything on the boardwalk. The beach is just across the boardwalk. There is miniature golf and a Sunsations right across the street too. The Satellite Cafe in the hotel was great for breakfast and well worth the inconvenience of "cash only". The ATM machine […] in the lobby provided all the convenience we needed. The staff was very accomodating, and changed our room twice on our check-in day...once for a balcony pool-side and then once again for a oceanfront balcony...had a little trouble making up our minds! Can't beat the price, proximity to the beach, bars, restaurants, games etc. of the boardwalk. The only cons were the noisy, drippy a/c units above the doors. The carpets could use a cleaning too, but the beds were super comfy, and everything else was well kept and clean. Lees meer

The room had a musty oder due to constant wet carpet at the door. There were no tissues supplied in the room. The shower needed service before it could be used. Water from the shower drained into the rest of the bathroom, had to use towels to keep the water in the shower area. The person who appeared to be in charge was not friendly and left me with […] a trainee to deal with a check in problem. Another employee took the time to resolve check in issues. I would not recommend this place to anybody. It's an old building and it's dirty. The parking lot is small had a hard time parking our cadillac SUV. The first day we got there my family was so excited to get to the beach went to lock up our Valuables and the safe didn't work so I called the front desk said they would send someone right up after waiting […] about 40min just went to the beach and took everything thing with us. When we or back from the beach it was fixed put our stuff in it the next time I used it didn't work again.. The shower was so dirty we didn't even attempt to give our son a bath.. There was food under the beds flies everywhere the toilet kept clogging...the a/c unit was cut in the wall looked like a 2 year installed it the tv remote was dirty and didn't even have a back cover on the batteries The kicker is it wasn't cheap the location is great and the view was awesome but that's all I have been home for 3 days and still feel dirty... I defiantly learned my lesson on booking a vacation last min.... What a dump!  Lees meer

Beautiful view of the Ocean! Very convenient and close to the boardwalk.

I stayed at this hotel during a Sand Soccer Tournament within Ocean City. I had prepaid for my room in advance and it was put on my American Express. Upon checking into my room, I see that we were given a Handicapped Room which we did not ask for, no want. When my daughters got out of the shower, there was about 1 1/2 inches of water throughout the […] bathroom. I called down to the front desk and was told that someone would be up to clean it up. 20 mins later, no one had showed, so I had to clean up the mess in the bathroom. After using all of our clean towels, I proceeded to take them all down to the front desk to complain. 2 maintenance people came up, but everything was cleaned up, by that time. I asked for another room, but was told that the hotel was fully booked. Every time anyone took a shower, this same thing happened. I WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN! Lees meer

Well we were to have a Kitchenette...ended up with a microwave and small frig, we were put in a handicap room, shower ran all over the floor no where to set anything in bathroom,no lightbulbs in the lamp, the safe did not work, maid put a do not disturb sign on door and hung our towels on door, so they didn't have to straighten things up........... […] .......... Some of those things you take for granted in a hotel just weren't working here. The phone was missing its' cord, so it didn't work. The tv wouldn't turn on. The safe was set on someone else's code. The staff took care of it all, but, it was inconvenient to have to call each time to get the thing fixed. Room service didn't arrive until late in the afternoon […] when we were getting ready for dinner, so we just skipped it. Then as the cap the fire alarm went off (for no apparent reason) and the hotel was evacuated. Not impressive. But, the view was wonderful. Lees meer

We would return to this hotel , great location and very nice rooms.

This hotel was an experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone. First of all, it is way over priced even after labor day for the service and rooms you get. It was impossible to get the room cleaned up every day if fact it was every other day; they offered some lame excuse. God forbid, you should stay "oceanfront" on the 1st level. Beautiful view of the […] seagulls in their hourly feeding frenzy which equates to bird %&#* all over your balcony. This occurrs because all the other mindless guest on the upper floors think it is cute to feed the birds. Even people on the boardwalk complain about it. Approached management about the problem and they just shrugged their shoulders and if fact I saw the kitchen help at the hotel dump scraps on the front lawn daily. The hotel was on the boardwalk, so it was convenient to get to the beach. However. to get to the beginning of the boardwalk and the shops and restaurants, it was about a 2 mile walk. For the convenience of the beach, it was great but to the boardwalk fun, it was a trek. The hotel itself is an outside entrance hotel with no lobby but an office for check […] in. There is a restaurant there but you can't do room charges and it's only open for breakfast. The cost of the hotel is steep during peak seasons but I don't think I would pay this again for this hotel. The room was as clean as could be but the carpet was horrendous! Your feet or socks would be black as soon as you stepped on the carpet and some spots were sticky, not a good feeling. Lees meer

Drove the family to OC, MD totally on a lark in the middle of the summer. Needless to say, room availabilities were slim. I knew nothing of the area, all I knew is I wanted an affordable hotel on the beach. This HoJo was affordable, available, on the beach, and (bonus) on the Boardwalk. Even better... It was on the north end of the Boardwalk, away from […] the hustle/bustle of the events and late night activity of the south end. The Hotel was great... Super accomodating and helpful staff, nice pool. Room was what you would expect at a hotel of this caliber... No frills, but clean, with ample pillows/towels, and surprisingly comfortable beds. We liked it so much that we had asked to stay an additional night - which the front desk staff gladly arranged (although we had to switch rooms to a non-oceanview - big deal), and even discounted further because we were polite and understanding. We liked this Town, we liked this hotel, and we will be going to OC next summer - and will choose this HoJo again... I recommend this hotel highly, and I hope your experience was as wonderful as ours. Lees meer

everything was so nice and it was just amazing!

The room was very nice and very clean. The staff was friendly and curtious. It was a great vacation. Definetly worth the money. I will be going back.

I was not impressed with this hotel at all. The hallways were dirty and in need of painting. The floors were not maintained. Our a/c unit was above the door. It was loud and made this very annoying noise the whole time. It also dripped and left a pool of water in front of our door. The carpet was filthy. We had to wear our shoes. If we took them off, […] our feet were black within a few minutes. The beds were comfortable and clean. The bathroom was very clean. The hotel was right on the beach, so that was very nice. I would not stay here again. I like clean and this was not clean enough. The carpet really was disgusting. The hallways, elevators and stairs were dirty. t's just OK. Nothing to write home about. Parking is a bear. Room quality fair. Cost higher than I would hav expected for quality of room. It is truly oceanfront, however.

Hotel room was up to expectation except for a large piece of plywood which covered a hole in front of our door to the room. No answer at front desk on several occasions and no towels at the pool. Room was clean and staff was friendly when available. Refrig. and microwave clean and wonderful to have. Location to boardwalk and beach was great. Price was good, the room was good, the pool was good, location was great. Check in was late.

I got a great deal on this hotel located right off the boardwalk. The carnival was still far and I had to drive to that but if I wanted to go to the beach it was just right in front of the hotel. It is an older building but it is well maintained, the atmosphere was nice and the staff was very friendly. I would stay here again. There are other newer […] hotels in the area but for the price I would come back here again. All in all a very satisfied customer. Lees meer
