We hadden een kamer met uitzicht op de tropische tuin, prachtig. Kamer van alle gemakken voorzien. Wel veel problemen gehad bij het inchecken: men vroeg om onze creditcard als borg voor eventuele uitgaven die wij tijdens ons verblijf zouden maken. Onze card werkte echter niet en dat werd als een (abnormaal) groot probleem gezien; ondanks dat wij aanboden om tot 500 dollar cash te 'betalen'; men wilde ons zelfs in 1e instantie als gast weigeren, terwijl het hotel natuurlijk al via hotels.com betaald was. Zeer onaangenaam en men ging pas meewerken nadat we erg hebben opgespeeld; uiteindelijk 100 dollar borg betaald. Geen leuk begin van een verder overigens prima verblijf daar.

Heerlijk hotel, niet ver van Sea World, San Diego Zoo, uss Midway, Gaslamp, Old Town en het strand. Allemaal binnen acceptabele tijd per auto te bereiken. Super mooi hotel met ruime kamers. Het is wel een gehorig hotel, wat vooral in het weekend lawaai met zich mee bracht van buren. Door de weeks was de marine aan de overkant van het water met trainingen bezig. Dit vonden wij niet heel storend, maar het geluid is er wel. Verder zit ontbijt er niet bij in en is heel duur als je dat nog bij wilt nemen. Dat is echt een minpunt. Als je dit hotel boekt, hou er rekening mee dat het twee locaties zijn. Wij zaten in de tower en het 'grotere gebeuren' was verder op. We hadden wel een lobby, servicebalie, restaurant en verwarmd zwembad, dus dat is prima voor elkaar. De starbucks en de grote lobby van de foto's zit in het andere gedeelte. De kamers zijn echt super ruim! We hadden een ruim zitgedeelte en eettafel erbij, en dat voor een gewone kamer. Uitzicht op zee was erg mooi.

Het hotel ligt midden in het uitgaansgebied; veel restaurants in de omgeving en ook de winkelstraat is om de hoek. De bediening is gastvrij en zeer vriendelijk. Het ontbijt is echter simpel, maar dat schijnt in Amerika normaal te zijn. Kortom: als je op zoek bent naar een centraal gelegen hotel met alle gewenste voorzieningen in de buurt en ruime kamers, dan ben je bij Gaslamp Plaza suites op het juiste adres!

Hip trendy. Wifi in hal beneden is gratis. Op kamer voor 24 uur vijftien dollar. Vind ik wel veel. Hotel is eigentijds. Drankjes aan de bar vrij prijzig. Hotel is Veel minder stijf en goedkoper dan het Hyatt. Wel werd er volop gebouwd en was dakterras niet open. Parkeren kan met valet parking (vijfendertig dollar per dag) of rondom hotel. Wel goed kijken of je goed staat ivm schoonmaken van de straat. Wij hadden boete van zestig dollar ivm neus van de auto de verkeerde kant op staan.
Ligging.
Hampton Inn Seaworld - Airport ligt heel handig vlak bij de luchthaven in Beach Cities in San Diego, dicht bij Staatspark Old Town San Diego, Marinerekrutendepot en Seaworld.
Hotelvoorzieningen.
Hampton Inn Seaworld - Airport heeft een buitenzwembad, een spabad en een fitnesscentrum. In openbare ruimtes wordt een gratis snelle internetverbinding (draadloos en via kabel) aangeboden. Dit hotel beschikt over zakelijke voorzieningen zoals een businesscentrum met 24/7 toegang, vergaderruimtes voor kleine groepen en vergaderruimtes. Gasten krjjgen gratis ontbijt. Het personeel kan op verzoek hulp bij excursies/tickets, een cateringdienst voor evenementen en zakelijke diensten regelen. Extra voorzieningen zijn onder andere meertalig personeel, een wasserij en een tuin. Gasten kunnen gratis gebruikmaken van een luchthavenshuttle (op geplande tijden). Gasten kunnen gratis parkeren. Elke badkamer is voorzien van een föhn en gratis toiletartikelen.

Op deze relaxte plekken worden af en toe boerenmarkten en kunstfestivals georganiseerd. Mission Boulevard verbindt de stranden met elkaar en loopt noordwaarts, richting La Jolla.

Hotel prima en netjes. Dicht bij Seaworld en luchthaven. Gebruik de folder van Seaworld voor 5 dollar korting te vinden in het rek in hotel. Een bezoek aan Coronado is zeer aan te raden. Ontbijt voor Amerikaanse begrippen goed.

"Goed hotel voor redelijke prijs"
Goed uitziend hotel met mooie lobby en kamers. Ruime gratis parkeerplaats beschikbaar. Goed ontbijt bij kamerprijs inbegrepen. Hotel ligt in een niet te aantrekkelijke buurt hoewel je daar niet echt last van hebt. Gratis vervoer naar luchthaven en cruiseterminal.

The food was great and the pool was enjoyable for the kids. The breakfast was good and saved us time in the morning. The one bad thing was that the hotel is right next to a nude girls bar...not exactly family friendly.
"Right on the bay, 5 minutes from mission beach"
We came here for our 5 year anniversary and was happy with everything. We walked around the bay and also went to the beach. We loved the robes, coffee, pillow top bed, and the views. The manager Steven was awseome. Thanks Dana.
This is the first Hampton Inn we have stayed at which didnt have a in-room refridgerator. The room was also smaller than other locations.
I stayed to commute to San Diego Convention Center by Metro.. The hotel was a little far to reach metro station. And the exchange of the train also was not as smooth as I expected. I will choose the other hotel when I visit the Convention Center in future. Breakfast was as good as I expected. Bed, bath, internet connection was very smooth.

I took my mom and 3 months old baby to San Diego for three days vacation. The hotel is very nice and quite. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. We enjoyed our trip and hotel.
"Surrounding Neighborhood"
The hotel was located in a really convenient area to so many attractions. The downside was that it lacks aesthetic appeal - it's in an industrial area. I didn't feel unsafe though.

I did alot of research before booking this hotel. The breakfast bar was important for my family, and it did not disappoint! The room was a little small, for 2 beds, but clean and comfy. There were only maintenance issues, like a little mold on the bathroom ceiling. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

We stayed at the Hampton for three nights and we were very pleased with the service we received and the quaintness of the hotel itself. Other customers were correct in that there are some "girly" bars nearby but we did not let that bother us as there were other conveniences that out weighed the negataive. Very close to Sea World and resturants. Good hot breakfast, although line tends to back up at the waffle station, they should move it to different part of breakfast area. We stayed multiple days and breakfast was different each day. We would stay here again.

"Nice, hotel, neighborhood is safe, ignore "Nudes""
This is nice hotel, priced very reasonably since it is located at the junction of two free ways. In the rooms you can not hear the traffic. The rooms are spacious, clean and well maintained. We have stayed here three times and have been very satisfied each time. If you are offended by a sign down the road from the hotel that says "Nude girls", well, […] then you are easily offended and should probably not leave the "safety" of your own home. The neighborhood perfectly safe, and the hotel is located perfectly for Sea World, Downtown San Diego and most other things you might like to do and see while in San Diego. My only wish was that we had a mini fridge in our room. With 2 small kids that would have been a huge help. Instead we had to have an ice chest in our room.

Took grandsons to San Diego and stayed all week. Location was close to Balboa Park, Sea World, beaches, and harbor. Kids loved pool and breakfasts were great. Major streets merge near hotel and made some entrance/exits awkward, and neighborhood had some questionable areas (explain Nudie Cuties to a child???). Room was clean except for spot on carpet. "Surprisingly Wonderful!"
We stayed one night on a quick mini vacation to San Diego. Our hotel room was clean and very nice. The front desk people were so courteous and kind. The cookies were a nice surprise and much enjoyed. Our breakfast in the morning was delicious and it started our day off just right! I would recommend this hotel to all my friends. Very friendly staff. Cesar, the guy in the Front Desk was very helpful and friendly and helped us with early check in as soon as our room was ready. The breakfast was SUPER!!! There was plenty of coffee, tea and jucices available ALL day!

The hotel is wonderful and the staff is extremely helpful. They are efficient in calling cabs promptly. The Old Town transit centre is also very close. The breakfast is pretty good. A great Mexican restaurant is metres away from the restaurant as is a Denny's. The only problem is the neighborhood. Its really bad and unsafe.

We had arrived a lot earlier than we had anticipated and they allowed us to check in way early. The service was extra friendly - from the front desk clerks to the breakfast servers. It was a perfect place to stay for our family of 4 and we will stay there again when we go to San Diego next. HIGHLY reccommend!

Staff were very helpful, especially regarding shuttles. We were given rides to SeaWorld, Old Town, the airport, and the cruise terminal. They were the only hotel that had airport transportation at 4:30 a.m.

It was a very nice place and the staff were excellent and gracious. We enjoyed it very much. The surrounding neighborhood was not very nice or safe. We walked to the Old Town area, which was awesome, but the neighborhood inbetween was absolutely unsafe after dark.

However, carpet in our room did not look clean, and the sheets on the bed were no longer white, although they looked washed. "Nice Hotel For Seaworld Trip"
This is a great hotel for a short stay in SD for a visit to Seaworld. It's not in the nicest neighborhood so we didn't feel comfortable walking to nearby Old Town, but you could if you wanted to. We didn't get a car because they have a shuttle from the airport (just make sure you get on the right one as there are two Hamptons that have airport shuttles) […] and a cab ride to Seaworld is approx $15 w/ tip each way. (That was cheaper then getting a car and then having to pay to park.) The breakfast is good and they also have a nice pool. Would stay here again. Lees meer
