Het hotel zag er netjes uit, zowel van buiten als van binnen. De essentiële zaken waren OK: de kamer was ruim, de bedden waren goed, het bad was goed, wifi was redelijk tot goed, parkeerruimte voldoende. Echter: - Het uitzicht vanuit de kamer was slecht: alléén de luifel van de entree (daardoor wel veel privacy...). - Het strijkijzer bleek kapot, maar […] na een verzoek aan de receptie om dit te vervangen, kwam er niets. Wij moesten er zelf achteraan en kregen uiteindelijk een andere van de schoonmaker. - Onze kamer werd de eerste dag met schoonmaak overgeslagen: dus geen schone handdoeken en volle afvalemmers! Op dag twee moesten wij zelf achter de schoonmaak aan om dit te voorkomen: uiteindelijk kwam het goed. - Het ontbijt was niet bijzonder: brood was schaars en soms oud. Niet veel keus aan beleg en geen vers fruit. - Het personeel was vriendelijk: sommigen echt en sommigen nep (ingestudeerde gastvrijheid). Dit hotel heeft naar mijn mening weinig aandacht voor zijn core business: de bezoeker een thuisgevoel geven. 5 day family stay in clean room, decent pool and good front desk staff. Breakfast is pretty basic and sometimes hectic ... breakfast staff can be very friendly.

Loved it.. People that worked there were really nice and helpful.

We we're looking fwd to staying at this hotel because of price n location. Although we were dissappointed with the uncleanliness of the bathroom and sink :( it smelled very bad and there was hair on sinks. One of the sinks was clogged. Over all we focused more on our visit to Vancouver and didn't let this ruin our stay.

We booked two rooms online because of a great low rate offer. The facility is clean, but some of the touches are missing. Customer service from the front desk to the breakfast room is below what most visitors need. On both mornings, even staple items such as yogurt, coffee, and break on the breakfast buffet were out, and replacement either never happened […] or took nearly an hour. The evening staff was not very family friendly. The day staff was very friendly and pleasant.

I really enjoyed the location of this hotel. I didn't realize while booking this hotel how convenient it was to everything.

When reserving this room I asked not to be placed near a ice machine, elevator or under an air conditioning unit since I'm a light sleeper. I was put next to the pool equipment. We arrived early afternoon so there were rooms still available. We didn't unpack yet and I asked the clerk if she could move us to another room. She said the hotel was completely […] booked and she would see what she could do. I returned a while later and asked again. She said she was sorry but maybe tomorrow. Parking lot was trashy and the carpet in our room was matted down and needed a cleaning. Vacuum cleaner didn't pick up lint etc on carlet. Coffee machine grundgy. Help was fine and physical plant other than housekeeping was fine.

Nice two bed room. Plenty of room and comtroble beds.

My husband & I took a short get away and stayed at your hotel. We found it very pleasent and the desk clerk found us a room downstairs. My huband has difficulty in walking any distance, and you service wa very accommodating. Thank You

If you don't mind staff that seems not to care this is the place for you. Our room was clean but there were fruit flies. And the swimming pool is cold. Only reason I'd tell someone to get a room here is only because it's close to everything.

This was probably the fourth or fifth time we stayed at this hotel. Great value and convenient to places we have to be. We will stay here again.

This hotel was wonderful! The room was much bigger than I expected and the bed was SO comfortable. The breakfast was great, except for the eggs. Those were not so good, but everything else was so good that it wasn't a big deal. The serveice was great and there was a plenty of parking. For the price, it is a great deal!

Great place to lay-over for a night. Hot breakfast in the morning is very fair. The eggs are not so great but hey, it's protein and most don't offer any with a free breakfast so they get points for that. clean, quiet, comfortable

We stayed 4 days in the Phoenix Inns in Vancouver and were very pleased, you expect the best in the online brochure, and the entire hotel was great! The service was excellent, the staff wonderful, breakfast great! Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was layed out perfectly, the king bed was comfortable and warm, we could open a window for fresh air. Our room had everything we needed, and the location its about two blocks from the friends we were visiting so that made it super convenient. We'll stay here every time we visit! Great mattresses and quiet rooms

We have three kids 15, 11 & 8. We had a 3 hour drive each way for an event, so decided to stay overnight. The accommodations were very clean, comfortable & convenient. 2 queen beds and a twin (brought in for a very reasonable cost) allowed us to have a good time at the event without rushing. I'm always happy with this hotel. It's always clean and comfy, and will always recommend it to others.

Hot Breakfast was good. The management was very cooperative when I requested a power strip and was helpful when I asked for help troubleshooting static on one of our two TVs. Front desk also helped ups with a very minor car problem and also was willing to help compensate for the fact that the hotel's one and only public computer was out of service and […] unavailable to guests. If anything could improve it would be providing a second public computer so thatwhen one were out of service, guests would not be completly without business office service. I would also like to see more scrambled eggs and fewer egg patties. Lowfat or nofat yogurt would be very much appreciated by many guests instead of full fat yogurt. Lees meer

We had a great stay here. Everything was clean, welcoming, convenient...except the front desk workers. Every single one either scowled or barely acknowledged any of my party's existence. The woman who served breakfast was great, the woman who cleaned our room was great, the service in the "upper levels" of management was very poor.

Friendliness, cleanliness and comfort really do exist @ a awesome price.. thank you hotels.com and the phoenix for a wonderful room and a very pleasant birthday.. can,t put finger on one thing that stood out the most it was a whole package,, the pool, jacuzzi, the beds, and even agreat breakfast..

Overall, very pleased with the accomodations.

I was in the area to visit friends in the Portland area over the holidays. As a previous resident and regular visitor I can say that this hotel across the river in Vancouver was absolutely one of the best-located hotels. 1. As a lone female traveler I felt safe. 2. My room had a great view of the snow-capped Mt. Hood in the distance. (not a necessity, […] but very nice) 3. The hotel was across the parking lot from three popular restuarants and near a street that is a major shopping destination (food, clothing, supplies etc.). 3. The hotel is within a mile of the freeway to make quick connections with the city of Portland and the International Airport. 4. In addition, the hotel is near a vibrant community with businesses, educational institutions and a fabulous state-of-the-art community center where I was able to swim, work out and take exercise classes for a low daily fee. My brother put me onto this hotel and I use it whenever I am in Vancouver, Wa. It allows pets at a minimal price, it's comfortable, it has a nice dining room for breakfast, a gym...small but has the equipment you need, a pool and has the perfect location. It's sits across from Fred Meyer, down from Starbucks, a strip of stores on either side of main […] street and a few blocks from freeway junction...perfect. I booked it for 2 nights this past Christmas, I only used it one night because our family wanted to hang out together but I did not paying for the night we didn't stay, its not much and it was great to have as a back up, my timeshare, Wyndham is never ever available. The beds are so comfortable. The rooms are very well laid out with good furniture. And the breakfast was outstanding. A good choice of food for a real breakfast.

the room was not vacuume3d and things seemed dingy. The carpet is so old I would not take off my socks or slippers. The back dooe eight next to my room would not open from the outside with the key card and the breakfast was dry scrambled eggs with taco shells? Not my cup of tea...

Easy access to freeway, shopping, and three restraunts within 1 block of hotel.

We've stayed here before, and while those times were just a bit better, we still had a good experience here, and would come back. We had a room with a wet bar, very convenient to lay out stuff for the five nights we were there, this was "home" after four nights in four different Marriotts. The only real disadvantage was the large trucks that Burlington […] Northern had in the parking lot, apparently they like the good deal, too, and their drivers needed to start up these diesel monsters at 6 AM. I suppose that wouldn't have been as much of a problem if the window had been closed, but we like our room cool at night. The breakfast is the same-o, same-o every day, but there are lots of places I'd rather have breakfast in Vancouver. The tip can in the breakfast room is a bit odd, but I guess you can take it or leave it. We'll be back, the value is unbeatable, its Hampton or Fairfield quality at a considerably lower price. The staff at the Phoenix were very helpful..The bed was like sleeping on a cloud... The breakfast was a full breakfast...make your own waffles, meat, eggs, cereal, etc. It is minutes away from the Portland Airport. We definitely will return to this pleasant hotel.

Smelly toilet

The bathroom was not clean when I arrived...The toilet had poop in it and was plugged up... it appeared someone started to clean it, as there were clean towels. The table had sticky rings on it, like it had a glass on it and it was not wiped. When the room was serviced on my 2nd day, they did not refill the toilet paper or Kleenex. For the cost I payed […] each day, I'd expect the room to at least be clean. Also, the continental breakfast is terrible now. They use some sort of fake powdered eggs that taste like sawdust...Probably all cost cutting measures. This used to be my home base whenever I'd visit Vancouver or Portland. First off this was my first time staying at this chain on hotels and I must say very very impressed, very clean, easy to find, great customer service, good parking, GREAT RATE, and was very suprised at the size of the room. With 24 hr pool & fitness room I was able to get in a late night treadmill workout and a nice soak afterwards, which was great after a day touring. It's close enough to the freeway and PDX airport to make it very convenient, as long as you don't try to get across the river during rush hour. Bed was huge and comfy. Staff @ front desk arranged 2 rooms […] next to each other and let us drop off our luggage before checkin so we could enjoy a day in the city without being squished tight in the car with our suitcases. The breakfast and location with the price of the room make this a must. 15 mins to pdx and full buffet style breakfast with all kinds of choices from cereal to fresh waffles. We (fam of 5) saved minimum $30 a day on the complimentary breakfast....plus the coffee that i was chugging down. rooms are standard, beds are comfy, really can't complain because […] nothing is ever perfect. Hot tub button for jets shocked my 10 year old daughter and myself and our wet bathing suits left on the bathroom floor were covered in slugs the next morning....

This was one of my most comfortable hotel visits. The room was clean and very nicely appointed with down comforters, comfortable furniture and nice linens. The full breakfast was very good and the staff extremely attentive. I will definitely be back.
