clean, well managed but dated

My stay was again what I expected. I have stayed in this hotel more than 10 nights,with only one time did the room not meet up to my satisfaction. I did mention it to the front desk and it was taken care of in a reasonable amount of time. The front staff is very accomodating and make my check-ins easy. I continually stay at this particular hotel when in the Charlotte,NC. area. Each stay is better than the previous one.I am well recieved and treated as family by the staff. I am presently at the hotel as I am writng this review.

I was extremely satisfied with the location of the Hotel as I was visiting highschool classmates at UNC Charlotte. My first visit was not as good as my second visit ,but both times I stayed for several days. I had complained the first trip about the cleanliness of the room and immediately the situation was resolved. I would reccommend this hotel to […] anyone visiting the area. I thought the room was very clean, staff was very professional and kind. I highly recommend this hotel for everyone. The only problem I had is that I didn't book enough days. I will next time. Thanks to all.

Good room for price. Not great for an extended stay. Beds are not comfortable! And it really sux if you're sleeping with someone unless you enjoy sleeping in taco. Other than that, you get what you pay for. Don't expect a whole lot and you won't be disappointed!

The room was clean but what little sleep we got was constantly interrupted thanks to the neighbors fighting all night hitting walls, doors, (including ours) and yelling. Small hotel so if you do not like tight spaces I do not recomend! Check in worker went out of her way to get checked into my room earlier due to the circumstances of the charlotte race. […] She was the only good thing about the whole stay here. Lees meer

We arrived at the hotel and it was in complete disarray. The walls were covered in spackling, things were falling apart, there was sanding dust all over the carpet. check in took forever because someone was vacuuming and wouldn't stop so the clerk could hear the customers and we all had to use the restroom from being on the road all day and guess what! […] No lobby bathrooms! We finally get checked in and get to our room and go straight to the rest room only to find a dirty rag hanging from the shower rod. I shut the door to the rest room and the rubber door stopper falls off the wall, followed by the toilet paper holder falling off the wall. Finally we realize the toilet doesn't refill with water, therefore it doesn't flush properly, but maintenance was not available so we ended up fixing the commode ourselves. Lovely. After our evening we get back to the hotel around 11 and have to get extra pillows because the pillows are FLAT! It takes nearly 10 minutes to get someone to come to the front desk because there is no bell, so I have to go outside of the locked door and hold it open with my foot to reach the phone outside and call the front desk to tell them we need pillows. About 2 hours later, one of us woke up sick and went to the bathroom and about 15 minutes I got sick and had no bathroom so I ran downstairs and asked the lady if they had a restroom I could use because ours was being used. She told me no and I immediately ran outside to the parking lot where I had to vomit because again, there are no lobby bathrooms. I try to get back in and of course I don't have my key because I left the room in a panic trying to hold down my food, so I again had to call the hotel to have her let me back inside. I again explained to her that I was sick due to something I had eaten, as was my husband and could I please use a restroom just to clean up where I had gotten sick. Again she told me no, so we ended up spending nearly "a Benjamin" for another room just so we could have Lees meer

Right next door to Strip Club Prostitution out front only clean room once a week No Coffee in Room Not Happy at All

The extended stay by UNC C was not well kept. We reserved a non smoking room and were given a room that smelled of smoke. We were told this was a non smoking room but that when the fans in the bathroom are turned on smoke may be blown into the room as every room in the hotel shares a ventillation system. We do not recommend this hotel.

This place is a dump! My fiancee and I decided to give this place a try because the reviews had said it was a pretty decent place - I assume that those reviews were written by the hotel employees, because it is a far cry from anyplace I would willingly stay. When approaching this place, we noticed a couple of pretty shady people milling around the parking […] lot and surrounding area - check in was quick...although I did notice another 'guest' who had some difficulty - that was mainly because she had a hard time talking and standing upright. Once we entered the room we noticed a putrid smell, the air was not on - it was 95 degrees outside - and the floors in the kitchenette and bathroom was sticky. I looked behind the window shade and there were bugs flying around...around 2 am there were people running around and thumping so loudly upstairs that we could hear them in our ground floor room. I did go to the front desk and complain a bit, unfortunately the staff made no effort to make my stay any better by perhaps offering to move our room to another hotel, that would've been nice. Nothing special, but a good rate, with a fridge and small kitchenette. Room could have been a little bit cleaner. Overall, just okay.

check in was a lengthy process. There was a wait out the door.

I thought thia holtel was in a good area, minutes away from downtown, minutes away form shopping, I enjoyed my stay.

I, and my family have worked for resorts and hotels for many years. I am a fan of Hiltons and expect that anything less expensive will be unlivable. Not the case for Extended Stay! Upon check in we were greeted very warmly. We had to switch rooms because the handle was broke on the room assigned- they moved us expediently and with no hassles. The room […] key posed difficult, however, a laundry attendant volunteered to help us and, the problem was with us not knowing how to use the key. The rooms at the Extended Stay really are wonderful for the price. Nice laminate flooring (my husband installs and he liked them.) a nice size kitchen, clean bed sets, and a roomy space. We had to ask for a hairdryer but, the front desk gave us one. The location is close to Verizon Wireless, and near NoDa which is a quaint little niche' before downtown Charlotte. This hotel is well worth it's price. Our only complain was that the front desk staff seemed to be a.w.o.l when we tried to find them- twice in the afternoons. Otherwise, I highly recommend this hotel. PS- bring groceries and save on eating out!!! Lees meer
